  1. Can a lot of modern cars with electronic dashboards tell how many litres of fuel are in the tank?
  2. No need to shout! Take BOLD off. Differences to UK Passport procedure in the past 20 years? Look on gov.uk. Hey, the price will certainly have gone up, and the waiting time. And it is now back to Blue, not maroon. Did you not have to re-new the kids passport at 5 (I think) and then after 10 years?
  3. Sorry Anna, yes, I do spend too much time replying to this rubbish. I shall try to stop, but it's like a red rag to a bull when I see his posts.
  4. How were the dishes cooked originally? I can guarantee that a one-portion bowl of rice or soup, taken out of the fridge 10 minutes earlier, takes no longer than 1 minute in my 800 watt waver. It is not good to wave stuff directly out of the freezer, let it defrost first. Then to be even more logical/efficient, take the bowls and plates into the shower with you!
  5. You may have called it Rubber Necking. I call it 'Let's see what bilge Gamma has posted today'
  6. The rice, soup and chicken must take at the most 1 minute each in your super Panasonic machine. Just the right amount of time to cook the omelette in a pan. That's logical.
  7. Sorry, no I do not know how gluten intolerance shows. I shall Google it, and be more careful with my 'funny' answers next time. Once again, sorry for any offence.
  8. You certainly is taking the pi55 with statements like that. I would put you on Ignore, but your posts convince me that I am still sane and in full control of my actions, so I read them. It is so hard not send abusive replies though.
  9. How did you estimate the volume of concrete delivered?
  10. RAM & SSDs are relatively cheap these days, and W11 is downloadable from Microsoft. Get a key from eBay for less than a tenner. 7800 from Lazada as opposed to 20k from JIB. Caveat emptor.
  11. Name please Mike. There's lots of restaurants there.
  12. Gluten free bread is a bit like decaffeinated coffee, alcohol free drinks, or sh..ging with a johnny on. 555
  13. I have had Intel NUCs for years, and all have had two HDMI sockets, 4K not 8K. Where would you buy an 8k monitor or obtain 8k content to display?
  14. The very short cotton socks which one wears with trainers are to make it more comfortable, so not putting your 'sweaty' foot next to a synthetic insole. They are not meant to be seen, hence the shortness. But I agree, socks with sandals, flip-flops, long or short, are a no-no. The second photo with the red/green/black jobbies are OK. A fashion statement, or a Christmas/birthday present from a wife or GF.
  15. Ask them how many Thais need/want a FC Account. Try another bank.
  16. Did mine at Bkk Bank in Pattaya , near Immi. 5 years ago . No WP, retirement extn. And can be used for 800k purposes. But watch the exchange rate if you are on the edge of 800. Make it 900k to be on safe side.
  17. Back to Air Fryers. I watched a Channel 5 documentary with Alexis Conran who was comparing three Air Fryers, one was 60 quid, one 150, and the Ninja @ 200. Had three noobies using them. First was chips from real potatoes. They each only finished up, after 20 odd minutes, with one portion each, the cheapest AF getting best taste results. Then a 'stir fry with veg, prawns sauce and noodles'. The one portion each finished up with took longer than doing in a wok on the gas. Finally a Victoria Sponge each one producing two one-portion cakes. Why they didn't use the same batter for all the cakes so that it was the actual AF was the only difference I don't know. One man said that he cooked a full Xmas dinner in one. Surely he would have to keep the cooked items warm as he cooked the other stuff. My Conclusion on AFs. OK if you have very limited space, eat one-pot meals, and have money to spare. Anyone use one of those halogen/ glass bowl type cookers?
  18. Rather off topic Mr L. Sorry no it isn't. This started off as hobbies, but then transformed to Air Fryers.
  19. Yes, you are correct, I was wrong. Money paid into a Pension Fund, be it State or Private is not taxed.
  20. So folks, make sure you take your Tax Clearance Certificated with you on your weekend to Cambodia or when you go to do your Retirement/Marriage Extension, just in case an Immigration Officer decides to enforce the current laws.
  21. Try running something like Glary Utilities to clean up all the 5..t in your PC. Make sure your network card is set to 1GB/s in Device Manager.
  22. Correct. But any funds you transfer for living expenses etc WILL be assessable for tax next year.
  23. But of course, a bit more difficult to transport anywhere. Stop talking rubbish please Gamma.
