Back to paying some of your flight with a Credit Card in order to take advantage of Section 75, I do not know of any airline who gives you the option of doing that eg GBP 10 on CC and the balance on a Debit Card or Bank Transfer. I guess you could pay it all on your CC if you have the limit, and then immediately do a Bank Transfer to the CC. Same applies I guess to hotels et al.

This makes booking hotel rooms, car hire and flights through booking.com or the others very undesireable. But so many hotels will not book directly.

Last month I flew BKK to LHR stopping off in DXB for a few days. The price was the same with or without the stop-over both ways.
