    Win on what?

The popular vote that every registered elector has, or the non elected electoral college votes?

The EC has precedence over the popular vote, which IMHO should be abolished or only used for electing senators and congress persons.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Electoral_College

The Electoral College is a body of electors established by the United States Constitution, which forms every four years for the sole purpose of electing the president and vice president of the United States. The Electoral College consists of 538 electors, and an absolute majority of at least 270 electoral votes is required to win the election. According to Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 of the Constitution, each state legislature determines the manner by which its state's electors are chosen. Each state's number of electors is equal to the combined total of the state's membership in the Senate and House of Representatives; currently there are 100 senators and 435 representatives.

There is more information available for us non-US persons to plough through if your heart desires.

The Electoral College. I love it as much as I hate dirty rat communist operatives of the CCP hiding out all over this world. Amazing you included a wiki link explaining the EC. Must have been one hard find.

But yeah we call it freedom of speech. Just like this is.

Remember to embrace the concept at home. Billions of lives are at stake.

I was trying to avoid their stuff 20 years ago. It became nearly impossible as manufacturing shifted to the east. Blame the west.

You would have to slowly squeeze them over time denying them certain sectors or vertical markets. Begining with the highest of high tech, but that is happening a bit now and the west cant get onboard and a tremendous amount of blowback already. Takes massive political will.

Yes. Just like that. All you need to do is decide and right now it's easy as the world is reconfiguring it's supply chains anyway. Build a wall - or repurpose the one they got. This time to keep the CCP and it's followers in.

Alrighty then... well despite my extreme negative views on China, I don't see the world suddenly deciding to sanction China. The global economy is rather delicately intertwined with China at the moment.

I do see long term solutions for the USA to move certain strategicly valued trade sectors away from China, but would think it nearly impossible to concieve of any coordinated multinational effort in that regard to take place. Probably a decade long process even for the USA.

Perhaps you can be more specific? What do you mean by sanctions? Please be specific. What kind of sanctions?

i lived in taiwan and hk many yrs and have visited PRC often.the political system and culture in china is very aggressive.nationalist, usery .theres little respect for other peoples or cultures ,a sense of superiority based on propaganda.if we wish to put the genie back in the bottle its real simple, dont buy PRC products.inform the stores owners and managers why your not buying this product and by selling it they are supporting repression of chinese and racism, aggression ,expansionism and the bullying of other nations, problem will be solved very quickly especially in the west where the customer has some say,it will also be reflected on govt policy.the factories from eu,usa japan korea will move real quick.

There was such an outcry recently when the President of the United States took a minor moderate stance on applying pressure on China. I never heard so much crying in my life. Do you really think the world would get on board?

The solution is simple. Democratic countries must declare full sanctions against China, a new cold war. Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and Tibet must be assisted in becoming sovereign nations. CPP must be destroyed in the same manner CCCP was. The time to act is now.

Full sanctions? Is it really that simple? Just like that huh.

  6. If you price checked it, and it looks good. Yes, but don't buy anything now if its shipping from China. Try searching same item and drill down to LOCAL.

Maybe a couple bucks more fore same item but save some waiting aggrevation.

I always have good experience in general with Lazada.

Neither Trump nor Biden are particularly good candidates and I'm sure Wall Street and Silicon Valley were thinking anyone but Sanders. Biden was a good Vice President (like Pence) and that entails saying little whilst standing in the background and clapping at the right moment but, at 78, and Trump is knocking-on too, they are both getting a bit old and crusty. Biden barely even knows where he is or what he's doing and Trump isn't exactly swelling with emotional intelligence. Surely between both parties they can do better than this.

    Knocking-on

    Old and crusty

Hmmmmm.......I agree too old.... not just the terms -

sound like something from the CCP school of American slang...

but Trump still seems aware of his surroundings and self aware. Must be easy for Xi though. Just get named President for life and problem solved.

I am wondering how the future will be in around 3-4 month, when the first wave is close to an end and the world is waiting for the second wave of Covid.

There is probaly still no vaccine against Covid.

I think we will still need to do social distancing, maybe we still have to use facemask.

And about covid and social distancing, how you can fill up a flight, a bus or a train if you must respect social distancing ?

No tourist will come to Thailand or other places, to go to 2 weeks quarantine at the vacation location or in a military camp or whatever. Maybe time to do some very special 2 weeks qurantane massage vacation LOL.

Or tourist maybe should go in 2 weeks quarantine before the travel, to get the thai healt certificate to board the plane, and 2 weeks qurantine in Thailand and then 2 weeks qurantine when they return to their homes.

It looks to be a "great" summer for the tourist industry.

To be honest, I don't think the emphasis here is on tourists. I think foreigners still need to enter Thailand for various purposes and those people will be willing to stay put for two weeks. Tourists a bit further out on the horizon.

For example, if I had to visit States and return to Thailand I would be willing to lockdown 14 days. All part of the situation.

  9. He is right until good testing can be done preflight then 14 day lockdown has to be.

....but I think a test will come soon.... Thailand needs tourists.... that need will begin to take on an urgency of its own soon enough.

I cant fault anything I just read.

Events will change what happens as they unfold...as it has...
