Probably. But he'll also know he can trade some flattery for trillions in concessions from Trump. Or just outright buy him for not much money. Assuming Vlad approves.
All false absurdity

I read the entire article. What comes across to me Republicans worked closely with Biden in order to get legislation over the line to ensure revenue coming into Delaware. Personally I find the justification repulsive considering the consequences for those less well off. Where's your criticism of Republicans for supporting the legislation? We all know the Obama admin did some great. to curtail the excesses of the financial services industry, which as soon as he could, trump reversed.
I would imagine Biden can use the info below to great effect against trump.
As per his M.O. trump has now retweeted a call for Fauci's firing. i suppose trump supporters will now call Fauci a traitor.
It is my humble opinion, as a Trump supporting Conservative, that the best thing for the Republican party is that Biden does not resign from the race.
Nothing can be better for Trump then to face a candidate who is in a near constant state of confusion.
It is obvious to everyone including every American liberal Democrat posting here, and the entire Democrat leadership with absolutely no exceptions.
How Democrats choose to deal with this obvious fact, of course, is up to them

Sociopaths and bullies are running most of the countries in the world, and they always have. They have an insatiable desire for power and the ruthless determination to achieve it. Many people find this appealing. They want leaders to have simplistic solutions to complex problems, and the more unforgiving of transgressors the better.
Trump will almost certainly win, unless Biden picks someone smarter and more popular than him to take over - when his dementia sets in (Michelle Obama is the standout there, and the Dems would have it in the bag with her as VP).
Well Michelle did run the Nations school lunch program....the menu anyway...

Well, this is kind of a simplification and reduction to the absurd of all of history. And here I thought we were at the end of history and mostly Republics, and Parliamentary Democracies with elected Governments and all. I had no idea things were this bad.

I disagree on the debate premise trump will revert to schoolboy sandbox bulley as he does in all things imo he will refuse or weasel (no offense to the weasels) out of the debates facts and truth are his enemies ,slander lies Emotional dog whistles are his tools imo he’s toast
Sad for the Chinese but they will have another 4 years of Trump. There is virtually no one left in the USA that isn't acutely aware of Biden's failing mind. Even Xi knows that.

Indeed.
Of course Obama wasn't going to endorse anyone including Biden before a nominee was picked. If he had endorsed Biden earlier the tin foil 45 fans and Bernie bros extremists would have used that in their disinformation campaign that the Biden nomination was fixed by the establishment. Biden won because he got more votes resulting in more delegates. Period end of story.
Does anyone actually believe Obama won't endorse Biden at some point now that Biden's nomination is definite? What do they think? He will endorse 45? Stay neutral? What planet do such people live on?
As far as when he will do that and in what setting. That is very much complicated by the virus emergency. He could do it soon in an online media event but he may well wait until the convention hoping that by then it can be somewhat of a real convention. I don't know when he will do it. I wouldn't surprised if he doesn't either. These are not normal times. But don't fret, he will definitely do it and he will definitely forcefully campaign for Biden.
I believe Obama will endorse the nominee, and campaign so hard that it will look like he is the one running, and bring much needed energy to the Democrat party and nominee, BUT right now I expect a lot of pressure to be put on Biden to bow out. It is obvious to everyone that his mind is rapidly failing. For the sake of his party he needs to go. Or risk a national embarassment, which will stick to Obama as well.

Sorry, my post was made in response to the Democratic Party's only chance was in showing its positive response to Sanders (progressives) supporters. Without the party promoting the interests of the working middle class, I personally feel, we face the same disaffection faced in 2016 by far too many voters.
Your response is squarely inline with a traditional democrat sensibility, unfortunately the current choice of candidate is not. The race is doomed. Please do not tell me you think Biden is fine.

Flights to thailand will likely start again early/mid May, only from countries that are perceived to have some semblance of control over the virus.Mass gatherings(sports, concerts, movie theaters etc) will likely be banned for months.
Face masks and hand sanitizers will be standard required gear until there are effective therapeutics or a vaccine. Old people 60+ and those with risky health conditions will be told to take extra precautions or be locked-in. Restaurant seating may be cut in half due to distancing precautions for a few months longer.
New “Quick” virus tests may become standard boarding procedures at all airports.
Tourist numbers to Phuket willlikely be ok/good next high season as there will be allot of pent-up demand for holidays by then.
Phuket will definitely remain the top beach vacation destination In Asia once all is said and done.
Excellent post!

Talk is cheap. If you dare, put your money where your mouth is and start by getting rid of all your China made products and not buying any more. I fear that you may not even have a toilet bowl to sit on lol. It's already happening precisely for the reason you mention. A stark realization of the obvious, that lower prices are not worth the potential for supply chain disruptions that are detrimental to the health of a nation. A worry has already been put into the minds of the people of the USA, the US President, US business, and especially the US Congress....and for the latter....they DARE NOT ignore the obvious!

They no longer believe in the grand experiment nor the way everything is headed. There are many reasons for this, and Tainter describes them in Collapse of Complex Societies, but everyone can sense that things were better in the past, and that they are slowly getting worse.
It isn't that people don't know what Trump is. It is that he is the only candidate who offered genuine change, so they took it. Now, the Democrats have put up Biden, aka Hillary 2.0, as his competition. I'm at a loss for words. Trump's bungling is not the issue. If he wants to confuse a virus a bacteria that is not an unforgivable sin. The burning issue is the growing need to turn away from the global agenda. Only Trump offers even a hint that might be possible.
The question that remains though, is whether Trump's handling of this pandemic will be so unacceptable that he will beat himself in the upcoming election. Will the American people forgive him for causing so much economic destruction in the last few weeks? That is a question only November can answer.
Yes. The Democrat party is over ... nearly historical at this point. Check out Rudy on the Hannity show yesterday.

Seems to me that it’s Trump (and his supporters) that’s been the one spewing hatred the last few years. His biggest achievement - dividing America - will be recorded accordingly in the history books as the beginning of the end for America as the strongest superpower in the world. All empires ultimately fall and Trump will go down in history as the worst president there ever was.
For your sake.. hope you are wrong... you won't like the new Chinese world. But no worries. You are wrong! Whew you dodged a bullet there huh?!

Phuket has recovered from localised problems in the past, notably the 2004 tsunami, but this is a global problem and it doesnt matter whether Phuket is ready for guests for the next high season, its a case of whether the guests will be ready to come.
Personally I think it'll be a while before most tourists return, and many never will, but the Russians are an interesting case. There are still a few around and many saw it out right until the last minute before leaving, unlike other nationalities who left long before (sensibly!!!). I also had emails from Russians very disappointed that they were forced to cancel, and this was as recent as two weeks ago! I even took a Russian booking last week for November!
I gotta say... I don't hear Russians cry whinge and whine much about things... they seem to be a strong resilient people who can throw a great party. I need some more Russian friends... I like these people... everywhere I go.

I think Phuket will fair best out of all major tourist spots in Thailand. Its beautiful and has lots to offer. If planes get restarted, and its not to cumbersome to get a tourist visa, I think recovery will be swift.

Age 61, I love my wife, daughter, residence, food, the overall friendliness of people, the lack of rudeness, the absence of people arguing in public, or being terminally upset about everything or nothing, the prices, the beaches, the MRT, shopping, and love that I am fit healthy, no stress, no high blood pressure, no worries! In Thailand since 2016.
