Even if this rule shouldn't apply for a media that has no longer any activity, I think Pita is stupid not to have got rid of these shares before the election. He knew it was a risk.
The army will keep the power against the will of the people, against democracy.????

- Book a flexible return-ticket and after arrival in Thailand change the return date from prior to the 30-days to the actual date you want to return.
I was worried about that last november since I entered Thailand on visa exempt then later asked for a Non-O visa then extension.
I had a flexible return-ticket but Air France told me that I did not need to change my return flight (which was 6 monts later) and that, in case there would be a problem when checking-in, I could easily ask for a change at check-in counter or just call Air France to have a change made immediately. This is what I did and I wasn't asked anything at departure airport.
I didn't want to change my return flight if not necessary.
Even if my ticket was flexible, there were fees to change 2 times.

When checking-in this morning, I told KLM staff that I had a Buddha in one of my suitcases with a license from Fine Arts Department.
They registered my baggage and I then brought them myself to the Oversize Baggage Check-in where they were scanned in front of me.
Had they ask me something, I would then have shown them the license.
They asked nothing.
Better to follow the rules, as I did.

Rather than find your thoughtful luggage note, glance at it, and just put it back and let it efficiently go into the aircraft hold. Nothing personal, it's just how they roll with everything here.
What do you mean ?

I intend to put it in my checked luggage.
I wonder if they might open it when scanning my luggage. I will leave a copy of the license inside, just in case !

I use Wise (formerly namedTransferwise) to make transfers from France to my Bangkok Bank Account in Bangkok.
My transfers are considered international If I select as Transfer Purpose: Funds for long term stay in Thailand or Purchase of Property
But I am a french resident, I don't know if it can help you.

Do not use Poi Pet under any circumstances.
If you have a visa eg METV on ME Non O or reentry permit. ....Maybe.
Even then avoid.
I never do border run but a laotian friend of mine does every month.
Even laotian should avoid it?
What are the problems there?

My experience might be useful to others.
I bought a 32 cms high and 20 cms wide Buddha statue at Tha Phra Chan Amulet market. The statue was new and made with resin.
I didn't want to have any problem when leaving Thailand with it since an export license is mandatory for any Buddha image larger than 12 cms and export is forbidden for those older than 5 years.
It was very easy to find the Fine Arts Department and to go there to get that license.

BangkokI only needed to bring the Buddha statue and my passport. I also brought an invoice which I asked the shop.
I got all information by mail ([email protected])
The inspection lasted then than 30 minutes. They took pictures. No queue, no one was waiting.
I filled in 2 forms and wrote that I bought it for respect and would place it at a dedicated place in my home.
They sealed a tag on my Buddha where I will have to mention the export permit once I have it.
I did it on Thursday and they said I would receive an email on Friday at 1 pm with the bill
I got the mail Friday at 2:30 pm. I scanned the barcode with my thai bank application in order to pay 100 bahts. I could have paid at any ATM too.
As they said, I got the export permit the following working day, this Monday at 14:53

Viktor Orban show himself in the current war against Ukraine as a Putin supporter. He will not join sanctions and now he might stop Ukraine from being a NATO allied. May be best to exclude Orban-Hungary from EU and NATO?
And Turkey as well

Don't forget letter from embassy, if your embassy provides one.
What about if you got your new passport in your country and not at your embassy in Bangkok ? I your country they will not give you any letter.

French inefficiency at issuing passports to their citizens is not the UK's problem. Maybe if they weren't all rioting over pensions it wouldn't take so long?
If they are only staying 2 nights it's no great loss. They can go to Estonia if it's so difficult to produce a passport.
It was just an explanation. After Covid-19 there was on rush on passports.
No need to get upset about it.And with comments like yours, do you think it makes one want to go to Great Britain? I have never been there and have no desire to go there. -

If our French friends have to save money by getting here on a ferry, they are probably not high value tourists anyway. Or possibly the type of "tourists" who never leave, in which case the fact they are put off coming is probably another benefit of Brexit.
Only 40% of french have a passport and it is very complicated now to get one (up to 6 months waiting). Most don't need it to travel all over Europe and won't take one just for 2 nights in UK.
Flight is not always the most convenient way to get there. There is Eurostar too.

Wouldn't call it a queue.
At DMK it's an office immediately other side of passport control.
Most times the office has zero people waiting.
BKK might have a couple.
Doesn't take long.
At BKK they even provide an optional service (fee 200b) and they do the paperwork and photo.
I was speaking of a second queue in case I buy a re-entry permit when I get a new extension. Not the same immigration officer, so I guess I would have to queue a second time for the re-entry permit or make 2 appointments both for extension and re-entry permit, planning plan enough time between both appointments

If you don't obtain one at time of extension then the airport is a winner.
Sure better, but in that case do we have to queue a second time?

Thanks to all of you, I will buy single reentry next time.

Hello,
Yesterday I bought a multiple re-entry permit at CW while reporting for the 90 days.
I was not sure whether I really needed a multiple one.
My question : Had I bought a single re-entry permit, would have it be possible to buy another one (single or multiple) after using it before the expiration of my current extension.
Up to now, I always bought mutliple but never needed more than a single one. I bought a multiple re-entry permit just in case.
If possible to buy a new re-entry permit when the current one has been used, then no need to buy a multiple one is you do not expect to need it more than 3 times (3800 bahts for a multiple re-entry permit and 1 000 for a single one)
Thanks

It should also be noted that the online 90 day reporting system can not be used if a foreigner is completing their first 90 day report, nor can it be used to complete the first 90 day report after receiving a new passport.
Hello when you leave Thailand then come back, is the report made 90 days after your entry considered also as a first 90 day report?
Is first report after new annual Extension considered as a first report too?
Thanks
