Rent savings are based on rent paid in capital cities like Melb/Syd.
Suggest searching realestate.com.au to confirm if you’re having trouble believing Australian exorbitant rental costs.
Travel insurance whilst in Thailand costs me nothing. It’s included in credit cards.
Next!
No worries but you only answered half my questions , now why is that?
moving on what credit card company and what spend to give you 10 million baht cover for free

That EXTRA 35K every month sure does buy lots of beer....and other enjoyment....to enable me to live the dream in the land of smiles. God Bless you Thailand

So every thai woman that can speak some English is a prostitute ? All the professors/teachers/engineers/designers - all prostitutes ? Have you any idea how ridiculous that is ?
I remember reading somewhere that slurs are not permitted - can't recall a better example than this
'I would go as far to say that any Thai woman who speaks even a moderate amount of English in a farang-dominated area"
Dont be a drama queen. You know exactly what he is saying here

I think most failed relationships stem from people expecting the other person to fulfill some need or desire. IMHO, success, in a relationship, comes from giving, not taking. It comes from talking. Who are farang marrying? uni graduates..general's daughters or ex slappers with close to no education ..Not much talking going on there apart from what you want eat hon?

What amazes me is how many Americans get on a plane and leave the security of their own country and do not understand how the American Embassy and State Department operates. I have been traveling for work or pleasure this planet for 40 years, and as long as I can remember, the rule is, "You are on your own". The American Embassy will not help except under very limited circumstances.
It does not matter if he is guilty or innocent. It is that he is stupid! Period.
His family better get ready to sell their home and take every penny they have to get his freedom, and that may not be enough.
Every one of us on TV run the risk that our opinions about politics and such could be deemed "subversive " and we end up in jail. Most of us understand the limitations of what we can say, and censor ourselves.
Bottom line, and this is not just Thailand. Keep a low profile, don't get drunk in public, don't dare get in an argument with a local and for d*mn sure, don't use drugs. And remember in almost all none western countries. You are guilty until proven innocent.

Spoken by an American.
Nonsense , doubt you have travelled past your parents basement. Have had 2 friends that were having serious problems and the US embassy stepped in and both are back on home soil. ( Im not US)

I think the question, though, was whether CW has been handing out fines to people who HAVE filed their TM30, but just not within the 24 hour period after arrival into the country.
My first/most recent mailed-in TM30 to BKK CW was mailed in more than 24 hours after my most recent arrival into Thailand (mainly because the requirement wasn't even really known back then). And I received my TM30 reporting slip back in the mail nonetheless...
Now, I haven't had to go to transact any business at CW since then... So whether there's a fine waiting for me the next time I have to go there, I don't know... But I do have my TM30 official reporting receipt. So I'm guessing NOT....
I would imagine most of those queuing up at the TM30 desk at CW and being fined are being sent there because they have NOT filed any TM30 at all .... and not because they were beyond the 24 hour window in having done their reporting.
You are right. I have filed many TM30 for tenants via airbnb and always late sometimes by a few weeks via the post and never got fined

Understood.
Once a TM30 is filed, unless you change permanent address, or leave and re-enter the Country, then a further TM30 shouldn't be required.
No not only permanent but also temporary. I happened to be in Pattaya where I lodged a 90 day report. I Then did my next 90 day report in person at BKK where I live and had to file a new TM30

My last extension a few weeks back had a bit of a standoff re the TM 30. The officer pushed it towards me while she was multi tasking , on the phone and taking questions from junior staff. I said I didn't need to do it as I haven't moved from condo (owner) but she wasn't listening. After a while when she refocused I asked her to check her PC which she did, asked me if that was my address and then said no need.

A modest 2 bedroom terrace house not far from Bondi will set you back about $850,000 plus
To rent it will be $950 A WEEK
I'm just happy to be here
Why are you comparing a first world off the planet popular inner city beachfront in sydney to the shithole fan room you live in here?

The place that has maintained a good exchange is Philippines.
1000 pesos ( which is pretty much the average for one hour female company in AC, not Gogo) about 19 US dollars.
They are a dime a dozen in pattaya non go go. Just park your ass crack in soi Buhakoa or beach rd for an hour

I bet when the aud tests 15 baht a historical low there will still be the same crowd gushing how much cheaper it is, well I guess if living on boiled rice and sucking on a tall archer at home in a fan room in the jungle somewhere then that may be the case right up untill your appendix burst and your screaming on the floor not in pain but telling anyone listening NOT to take you to a hospital.
Famous last words "but but didn't think it would happen to me...-

I am curious what you Brits plan to do.
When it gets below 30 then what?
Seems many may be better off in the UK.
What you think?
The smart ones will leave and go back to where a pound is worth a 100% pound. The desperate will continue watching there money being ripped to shreds and forced to continue downgrading their lifestyle here
