  1. It will never happen in my lifetime, Not jus roads here where I live there is no pavements so you are in the road, as for hotels, and other accommodation also villas there would have to be major alterations to door ways and bathrooms, simple things like taking a shower or a bath and the property all being on one level, none of these stupid little steps everywhere, Not a chance. Last couple of weeks I have had my family here with a little one it was bad enough with a buggy. We went to a few restaurants and there you notice how difficult it would be with a wheel chair, one place we went to the ramp was so steep it was easier to carry the buggy up the steps as for the toilet forget it, it's up the side of the hill but at least they had a handrail. There is no industry standards and regulations here, as for fire regulations how would you be able to evacuate in a wheelchair, We have an apartment and one glaring problem is the fire doors open in, that's just a start with. I did read an article a while ago and catering for people with disabilities in the hospitality industry is huge, not happening in Thailand.
  2. Did she work for the bank? or had worked there,
  3. I don't know about you guys but Im wearing a mask when I go out, We had to do a some shopping on Sunday, Makro and Central albeit in the morning not over busy but everyone was masked up staff everywhere

  5. Overstay stamp in her British passport I guess
  6. One of them I knew was only here for 3 weeks holiday it was just easier on a British passport,
  7. I have met a few over the years who come in on their British passports and dont use their Thai ones, going back to the UK is the problem on a Thai passport they need to apply for a visa, also some kind of status symbol having a British passport they certainly let you know they have one, in our case,
  8. I came across something similar some years ago, Poo Ying landed here on a British passport who thought she was exempt from the visa rules because she was Thai I had to put her straight as 30 days were up, I was trying to explain the date on her stamp was the day she has to leave on her British passport Im afraid it wasn't sinking in, so I told her call the immigration, they confirmed what I had told her, none to happy she had to go down there to extend her stay and that I was right, arrogant piece of <deleted>
  9. You need to find yourself another hobby, Try flower arranging

  11. touched down in Oslo on a flight from Paris with a false name and passport
  12. Maybe it wasn't a false passport, In the UK you can change your name and get a new passport, Maybe Norway has similar rules,
  13. I think they should let all the Bar Girls and Ladyboys vote
  14. They go round in the loop up Viset road turn left onto Sai Yuan, left down towards the beach then left again to Rawai, back up Viset Road, I can hear them in the night if Im sat outside under the moonlight,
  15. From the video I cant really tell exactly where he is, was he going up and down and doing it many times? I could make 10 video's like that, It does seem like targeting certain nationalities, Whether you like the Russians or not they are spending a lot of money in the area and there is lots here in Rawai, A couple of months back the restaurants were full of them and they are paying the inflated rents, I would say dont pi$$ them of to much, Low season is upon us, still many here, They spend more money than the Chinese in my experience,
  16. Thai's also if they can, We were in BKK one night with my wife and here friend, it wasn't late we could not get a taxi, about the 5th one would take us,
  17. I will agree with you here in Phuket BOLT have been superb, I had family here who were staying in Karon and I live in Rawai so I have used a few times and all decent cars, one day was a brand new MG SUV, then another day was a Fortuna, Taxi's from the hotel where my daughter was staying wanted 450 Baht, That was 200 baht more than BOLT, The hotels are just as bad, for an airport drop off they wanted 2000 Baht normally a 1000 baht
  18. There was one years ago in Chalong got away never to be seen again, Im not mentioning any names here
