  1. Another thing you can try which I did for a friend some years ago, He had 4 bungalows for rent and it was the same story, We put a master switch outside the door so everything went off except the fridge, Make sure you tell the guest what it's for, it did help,
  2. Thats what I thought, my deposit was paid 1 month after,
  3. I'm aware of them but you have to have one that is compatible with the door lock, with that one they can leave it in and go out, The other thing I did see was door sensors that sound off an alarm when left open how good they are I don't know.
  4. There is only one sure fire way and that is to charge extra for electric, You watch the guest turn it off then, Tourist just don't get it they will have the A/C running with all the windows and doors open, I even tell them the garden doesn't need cooling down they are tropical plants. Also getting them to turn it off when they go out is another problem that is just complete waste, there is a few things you can do, install a keycard system so when they take the card out the electric goes off. These multi billion dollar A/C companies could help by designing a motion detector if no movement it goes of after 15 minutes, I did write to LG about it, No they don't have, Maintenance of the A/C unit is important but Im afraid it's not high on the agenda with Thai's as long as it's still running that's ok, Certain nationalities which I've noticed have the place like a fridge.
  5. On airbnb you do have the option to cancel within 48 hours,
  6. Airbnb dont give you the exact location until you have booked,
  7. It's hot here in the south of Phuket
  8. That doesn't happen with Airbnb the guest has paid in full before arrival, When I lived in Bangkok I got my deposit back, no problem
  9. A couple staying at an Airbnb in South Korea got their own back after their host allegedly refused to cancel the booking – having left taps running and the gas on for almost a month, in turn racking up HUGE bills. The unnamed couple had booked the house in Seoul for 25 days and paid in full beforehand. However, they hadn’t checked where the property was located, and instantly got buyers’ regret. https://bit.ly/3KMM5d6
  10. How much would it cost to put a GPS tracker on your bag? Guess you could buy them on Lazada
  11. It's crazy how it all works, My daughter wanted to book flights from the UK for her and Husband and a baby was 5500 pounds, I told her to check the travel agent TUI, She ended up getting 14 nights in a 5 star hotel in Karon including breakfast and airport transfer for 3500 pounds, with the same airline,
  12. Seems like every block of shops here in Phuket a new joint is opened
  13. Them were the days
  14. If Thailand is worried about unpaid medical bills from Farang, then why not offer some kind of Travel insurance to cover emergencies
  15. All cat owners think everybody should love their cats, I once had a neighbour who said one day how you dont see and dog or cat <deleted>, I said to him you should come in my garden and see it, He had 5 dogs and we lived in a moo baan that was all open plan, no garden walls or fences,

  20. I've done a few trips to different islands over the years, so there is plenty of choice, Similan that was a long day and was so crowded I wouldn't go again, another time I went to Rok island at that time was really deserted and we had a buffet lunch on the beach, or you could stay local go to Rawai beach and get a long tail boat to Coral island, Go to this web site see many trips, https://bit.ly/3GQiYUT
