  1. Sorry for another TM30 question. I am from UK on 'extension based on marriage' visas.

I live with my wife and family in our house (owned by wife) in BKK.

My wife just got password etc today (only waited nearly 3 months!)

Anyway, we can now use the app.

Should I put all my details (ie, passport number etc) into the app straight away, ie, today?

If so, what is my check-in and check-out dates?

    Thanks for any knowledgeable responses!

    Cheers.

  2. Hello. Sorry if wrong forum.

I am trying to sell some secondhand watches.

I have a decent collection but don't have a clue where to sell them? Is there a shop/place that buys watches in Bangkok?

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Of course not. If the company believes you can do the job they will give it to you and apply for the work permit on your behalf once you get here.

Thank you. I am living here in Bangkok already. Would that create a problem.

Sorry, just trying to make sure I can foresee any potential pitfalls.

  4. Hello. I am from the UK. Aged 51. I am married with kids, and have been living here on marriage-based visa extensions for about 10 years.

There is a possibility I will be offered a job by a US company that has an subsidiary/office here in Bangkok. It will be a staff position and I will require a work permit.

Thing is, I don't have a degree. Will that be a problem in obtaining the work permit?

Thank you for any knowledgable posts.

  5. This is the OP... Think the Honda City is leading the race for me. Just ahead of the Jazz. I like the idea of a boot instead of a hatchback and it seems slightly bigger inside. Tomorrow checking out the Vios.

And thanks everyone for the comments. So helpful! I’d buy you all a beer...

  6. This is OP. Went to look at the Jazz and City at Honda today. Both look good but a little uninspiring. But as I've tried to explain to the wife: This is about money! It's a necessary move, 20K repayments on the SUV are just too much.

Of course, she's not best pleased. (I think she likes the 'face' of having a big car)

Anyway, two others I plan to look at before a decision: Yaris and Mazda 2.

  7. So with the horrid state of the UK pound the repayments on our SUV have gotten just too much. We need to downsize quite drastically.

Wife doesn't want a pick-up - so I think that will leave what she calls 'the small cars'. Question is, which to choose? There seems so many - Suziki Swift, Mazda 2, Honda City, Honda Jazz, Toyota Yaris etc

But does anyone have any experience with these cars? What's the best for taking kids to school, shopping, and occasional trips at weekend?

    Thank you for any advice!

    Cheers. J
