It's like a super tourist visa, still have to out / in at least once every year I think...with a limited concierge service tagged on.
The TM30 is the concern of hotels and landlords. The rest you read on this forum is confused people with poor paperwork spreading panic. Some times maliciously. In the last 4 years of travelling around Thailand and in and out of Thailand I have never seen a TM30. With your long term Elite Visa it wont be an issue and the is helpful

I own one of the few Left Hand Drive Cadillac Seville's and without specifically dating my boat, it is from the 80's. It sports an 8 Cylinder Detroit Engine with a cubic inch displacement that would make John Holmes jealous.
It has been known to attract attention where we go. And for a boat from the 80's, it gets fantastic mileage too!
What I do not understand, is how so many of the social justice warriors we have posting here on TV. Everyone seems to forget that I get a dual use from my bags. I love my plastic bags! I collect them! Double bag is my motto.
I am a double-bagger!
I am curious, how would you have me dispose of my cat crapola?
Down the toilet? Duh!

A micro amount of people actually use this site so any poll is not reflecting the actual full expat community.
Most I speak to love it here the ones that don't are the vocal minority of all things bad about Expats.
I never say we'll leave then as that's what there waiting for. Rather I say take stock of your situation you are in charge of your own destiny.
If you can't navigate around a few hurdles with ease look to another pastime.

I have seen some out there threads on TV.
This is up there.
1. Is incorrect. I'm over 50 on extensions no insurance.
2. Why would they not already be living here?
3. That word again IFFFFFF.
4. Take the scaremongering somewhere else.
Think this thread might last a limited time.
Not factual. Good topic for pub forum
Scare mongers function as an arm of the oppressive state. Falsehoods, lies, exaggerations, rumours .... scaremongering and tittle tattle

I think trousers on top of the pants might be a bit more appropriate.
Absolutely. Pants underpants, panties are worn under clothing.

Trousers not pants!

Sunday at 7 am was the sort of constructive suggestion I was hoping for.
One of the great things about cycling early on Sunday is the amount you don't spend on Saturday night.
Cheap Charlie on wheels. The kind of dull expat ruining this country. Give me a jolly drunk sexpat anyday!

Bicycles as transport are for children, poor people or eco zealots. Bicycles should not be on roads with traffic. Cyclist are selfish, lawless and entitled. But I like to think of them as organ donors on wheels!

A couple of years ago we were at the dam about 50 klicks north of Khon Kaen. Very nice lake with bamboo huts lining one shore, and many vendors selling food. We go there often, a couple of cold beers, Some Tom, shrimps, etc, while the kids play in the water
Nice place to visit when in the area. Nice an quiet, maybe some music from far away in the background, the sound of laughter from the kids.
Nice most of the time. One time this selfish idiot, and his family backed their pickup truck a few huts away and proceeded blasting music so loud that we had to shout to each other to talk.
Needles to say,the day was ruined, and we packed up an left.
Why the authorities or the vendors in the area would not say anything is beyond me.
Cozy beach is ruined by one of the speedboats banging out techno at full volume

You got lucky that they somehow missed it. Or the IO was just lazy to check it.
Nope. Not needed in Jomtien.

Whats your salary for how many contact hours?

Guess you're not in Jomtien. It's a must there for sure. As to the timeframe, usually 48-72 hours is ok to do a TM30.
I am in Jomtien. 4 years. Travelout if country and out of province often. Never been asked to report. When I did once voluntary they sent me away told me to come back in 90 days. You must have dodgy accommodation paperwork or a low level tourist visa. Jomtien IO does not require people to report within 24 hours of return. You are mistaken or have a wierd visa .

In 4 years i have never been asked to report. Once when I did visit the IO within 24 hours i was told not necessary come back in 90 days. I travel out of Thailand twice a year and out of province every two months.

If you are worried ask them. They told me not to bother but come back in 90 days.

Ancestry and 23andme do not ship to Thailand.
On another note, ethnicity changes as they get a larger database. All they are doing is comparing your DNA to everyone else who submitted a sample, so of course if the database changes, your ethnicity will change. Ancestry says "We recently added more ethnicity populations and communities. Based on this update, you might see changes to your results." So now I'm 100% Eastern Europe & Russia. My Thai husband is 45% Vietnam, 42% China, 8% Dai (they show it on a map as Burma, Laos and Thailand), and 5% Southeast Asia. My husband's mother had Chinese ancestry, while my husband's father came from Southern Thailand. Anyway, the interesting thing about DNA is not really the ethnicity, it's that it matches you with relatives. So many relatives! You wouldn't believe it. Thousands, for both me and my husband. We get a list of their names and sometimes their pictures and where they live, and we can message. And the list keeps growing as more people get DNA tests. To make it worthwhile you have to build your family tree and then you can see where you're related to all these distant relatives. The ethnicity part might not be reliable, but the relatives matching is. In the case of relatives, "DNA doesn't lie." People are finding out lots of things about their families that they never knew.
What if your deceased mother or father was an adopted orphan? Would the test stop at that generation?

Why would you recommend something that's pure bunkum? Might as well go to a local soothsayer or some other totally meaningless quack. Almost certainly cheaper, and every bit as reliable.
They are not all pure bunkum. They are the same tests done by authorities but are now cheaper and available to the public. They are very accurate
