Correct. They said he had arthritis in the spine before he came back. I also it and in the neck too. I would guess that a large percentage of Thais of his age also have it but they just can't afford treatment. So they just grin and bear it. What a total shamster!
The count has not got a spine.
He does however have the hide of a rhino.

My dad took me to see Blazing Saddles when I was a lad.
One of the most enjoyable moments of my early teenage years.
Imagine the horror these days.
Cool hero in that movie.

The best being the count dies sooner rather than later.

Is the governor general a Buddhist?
it’s weird for the Supreme Patriarch to host what is effectively a Head of State. Where’s all the Thai government officials?Nah, forget it

You should be writing detailed reviews on various platforms to support a place you loved eating at. There are so few. That's the foundation that creates a Michelin visit. People in my neighborhood are obsessive about Ging Grei and Tong Ten Toh. We root for them like they're Bon Jovi still playing in bars.
In the Nimman1 Mall, there's a couple of 2 star restaurants. They're not super-fancy, they're not super-great. They're a bit innovative and flawlessly executed. A Michelin star means just that: food people love the place and you'll see a new thing or two on the menu.
The diff between a C restaurant and a B is great. The diff between A- and an A is much greater. I've eaten a few hundred pad Thai's, but there's only one place where I ordered it 10 times. Food can be judged semi-objectively, like it is on cooking shows.
I bought the Northern Thai cook book mainly to read about the places. And I did pop into a few BBQ shacks in Phrae. Value for the money for reasonable food. I payed B prices to eat B food.
But it's eating, not dining. Great to dip in at some Khao Soi shrine off the highway, but people who went to cooking school will always make better noodles.
Haha, wtf is this post about?

Every year I submit a hand drawn map and every year they hand said map back to me and keep the Google copy, go figure. Korat.

The problem needs to be sorted at ground level.
Start with local administration, who are turning a blind eye to Oldmate doing his afternoon burn for a few bottles of grog.
Happens all to often in my Moo.
A local cane grower actually had his crop cut green, excellent, then proceeded to burn the residue which took days to complete. Just plain nuts.

Thai food, Issan, does nothing for me.
I eat some stir fry or a curry now and then but the rancid fish and crustation concoctions, no.

All in all, just another day in Thai politics.
Smoke and mirrors come to mind.
Lord Tony will be back to work next week and all will be made clear.

I live in Korat provence, wife and two young kids. No debt and the monthly spend is around 20k baht.
Sometimes I shell out a little extra but as for pocket money, no chance.
The whole salary concept eludes me.

There is no equality in Thailand, period.
You are poor or you are an entitled Elite. Two different worlds and the place is not about to change any time soon.
I'm in no man's land, being an expat and I have no allegiance to the gender debate, or politics in general but I do believe this govt is no better or worse than the previous bunch of clowns.

Tax, think I will just ignore the whole concept until I'm actually forced to make payment.
Sure I have to pay vat and service charges but that is ok, the rest is all a pipe dream.
In other words, <deleted> em.
Thanks

I quite like them but prefer a nice cotton sarong around the house.
Also elephants are not exclusive to Thailand so I think I might start a little print business depicting the African variety and see how that pans out.
How many people would actually know the difference.
Bah, just another convoluted nationalistic face saving beat up.

But I am back in the west now and every shopping centre has lifts and I know a lot of people don't like Thai Airways, but I will use them again since they have non-stop flights to BKK again starting after 31st of March.
Might be time to stay in the west or hire a bodyguard.
This ain't home Toto.

Someone has to do something about the daily massacres and possible genocide of Palestinians and the Houthis have found a great way of hurting Israel without killing. A win-win using capitalism against itself and driving insurance and shipping rates up.

Had my truck parked up for 10 months year before last and rats, mice moved in. Took months to get rid of the stench from the A/C.
They ate through the window washer pipes and used the bonnet liner for nesting material.

You can treat for rodents with an anti-rodent spray, about 100 thb. A bottle lasts quite awhile, does it work ??? Jury is still out.

Thanks for the replies.
Daughter has well balanced diet and I would rather the opinion of a doctor than a teacher so for the time being the pills will stay in the medicine cabinet.
Cheers
