Get an ATM slip on the day too.
An ATM slip will not cut it CharlieH and you know it. A printout of the bank bank statement ( original, signed by the bank) for two full months with a fresh deposit on the day and the Bank letter is the requirement.
Then a photo copy of said bank book, front page and every other page with ink on it is the norm.
Never go to a gun fight armed only with a knife.

Thanks @sherwood we got a new Kor ror 2 in the amphur, immigration said it must be 30 days old. How about the photos with wife outside/inside the house, would they accept black/white print? I missed to ask these questions when I visit the immig.
Not black and white, colour is required at my IO (Korat). Outside the house with house number on 1 page then 2 photos on the second page, worked for me.

Kor ror 2 no longer than a couple of days old and bank letter on the day, just saves you a problem in the long run.
I use fresh PP photos each year, 4x6 cm with a blue background, shirt should have a collar and not light in colour.
Best of luck.

Well I got two RCs last month for zero baht at Korat office, I just had to wait a week to get them.
The cost for same day service was quoted as 1000 baht for two.
I said to the staff NO and all was ok.
I only needed the RC to renew my bike and car licence's.
It is a free service, unless you ask for extras. Love this place 555

Are these normal, timed traffic lights in the daytime that revert to flashing amber/red overnight? If so, these are supposed to have amber flashing in the direction of the main traffic (normally have right of way) with red flashing in the direction of traffic with a lower priority (normally give way)? If these are just 4-way flashing amber, they just made an already known accident black spot even more dangerous.
No. Just another half fulfilled and non-completed project. The lights have been in place for at least four weeks and just flash yellow. The system is there but not completed.
There is a Cassava Mill nearby and the TakTaks, slow moving, overloaded single cylinder trucks use this intersection regularly for U turns and also to drive on the wrong side of the road. Nightmare.
Add a well used rural road to the Highway equation and that is where the black spot comes into effect let alone Van drivers and Pickups meeting at midnight before a National holiday.
I use this section of highway every second day and cringe every time I approach this intersection.
Never mind, sure the boys will fix the poles and the syncing of the the traffic lights soon,

The traffic lights have been there for around four weeks and still flashing yellow today, of course two of the poles are almost out of the ground and listing at a 45 degree angle. This three way intersection ( Hwy 24 ) has "NO U TURN" signs covering it but TiT.
RIP and a speedy recovery to the injured.

Better them than me!
The doses should be fresh at least.

Get Lucky, all you need is a harp.
I like heaps of different music but I for one do not believe more is always better.
Enjoy a soft rendition of the Daft Punk number.

Like one that actually goes to uni and can speak good english.
Not one from Korat who dresses like a student.
I saw a little stunner at Korat immigration just last week, volunteer I would think, she had the shortest skirt I have seen on a uni girl for ages. Outside 90 day report room.
The wife elbowed me in the ribs, I think I may have been staring.

No problem at Korat for the past 2 years, filled in a TM47 once and after that no more forms, just hand over Passport.
Anyway the IO is very near Makro so I do some western shopping.
90 km round trip. Also I do not remember my address the wife wrote in Thai so I have steered away from the online report.

I live here but what a busted <deleted> country, fair dinkum.

No way is she making 400 baht a day, even if she is growing the veg herself. Good for her but by jebus, just no way.
Anyone else here sell veg direct from the farm gate?

Here in my little place in the world you would hardly know that the world is about to collapse.
I have an extension to comply with in a couple of weeks, hope that goes well but otherwise life seems very normal.
I live out in the sticks and thats it. Simple life for a simple expat.
Take that as you will.

So she doesn't need an allowance because you provide everything she asks you for ? looks to me like she gets a better allowance then most and the gravy train is still full steam ahead. Maybe that was your point?
In the UK 20% of children are still living at home between the ages of 25-40, not out of choice but necessity but are still better off then kids here
Thailand by it's very nature is much harder in every sense (minimum 6 day week, living in <deleted> conditions while working in Bangkok. sending money back to aging parents/grandparents leaving them with very little.
The kid is working his socks off (for very little income) trying to keep afloat and you seem to think that he needs to toughen up because your life was so much harder. It's possible that's true but highly unlikely
He had come to rely on the income sent to him as anyone else would regardless of where and how they live.
No the wife works 5 or 6 days a week, in a brick yard and I never ask her for money.
Sure I pay for 3BB, elect, school, bus to school and food. Sets me back around 7k baht a month all up.
I just think that to rely on someone else to pay your way is not the best way to manage your life.
My family has the infrastructure to develop, after my imput from a lifetime of working. It's now up to them to move ahead. I just stay home and do the housework.
Good luck mate

Riding a pushbike in Bangkok. No thankyou.

Never had pocket money as a kid. Was working and living away from home at the age of 17. Toughen up.
Wife has not worked for seven years and I have paid the bills for her and my daughter but the gravey train has left the station.
She has a house, farm land and two younger sisters ( which I helped through school ) to help with the family. When is enough, enough.
Never understood this allowence caper.

Today has been about the worst day I can remember as far as smoke haze goes ( rural Korat ) so everyone must have got the word yesterday.
We have only five rai of rice and I have this year brought in a bigger tractor to plow the stubble back into the dirt. An extra 200 baht.

Londoners protest after police officer charged with woman's murder
in World News
Posted
Police are not in the business of protection. Their roll in modern society is solely revenue collection.
I do not blame the Police force for this act only the individual. The girls can protest all they like but nutters will be nutters so if you are worried, stay home or carry a big stick.
Sorry if that sounds like I do not care but truth be known, I could care less. A very nasty world is out there just waiting.
