Reading upthread I think what all of you are missing is that to travel you'll be in some closed compartment with recirculating AC. We halted our songkran trip for this reason despite where we were headed very safe.
Just guess 6 to 8 months. I don't think the Thais will deal with this effectively and it will linger a very long time.
Sir, I travel on foot.

This will escalate quickly.

I would do mass testing then incinerate any positive cases. This would fix the issue quickly.

It sort of is in that the levels of cover are in many cases so low as to be useless.
Most people with COVID will not need hospitalization. Those who do, the bill may easily be in the millions. So these maximum 50k - 100k etc policies aren't worth it.
There are a few places offer cover of 1 million or more. For those who do not have other insurance cover, or who have only a travel policy that excludes epidemics, might be worth having.
Some policies are restricted to Thai nationals though.
What about this one? https://www.frank.co.th/en/corona-virus-insurance
100,000 for treatments and 1,000,000 for serious illnesses caused by COVID-19 at 850 baht.

Can anyone enlighten me?
I'm sure they meant African swine fever but COVID-19 is more trendy right now.

WHO and health authorities have known for years and years, that it was only at matter of time, until we would have a worldwide virus pandemic. But they simply not only failed to advice people to stock up on masks and hand sanitizer. They even failed to stock up on these items in hospitals and clinics.
Now WHO and health authorities are lying, by telling people that it is useless to use masks, just so they can have enough masks for themselves. Better use your common sense and do not believe everything your government tells you!Now the CDC is even advising medical personnel to use bandana or other homemade mask when they run out of mask.

So how will they decide who gets it? Will it be first come first serve? (as it should be)
Usually it's reserved to those who have the greatest chance of recovering.

I know that Kanchanaburi won't let you out if you can't come back since they only issue daypass.

Same where I live. They think it's only something happening fat far away in Bangkok (3 hours drive). They won't change their mind until the military is on the street or the village's elderly start dying and they can't assist to the cremation.

I'm thinking about doing an extension of stay.
I read that I don't need to wait 2 months after my 400K deposit if applying as a parent of a Thai child. Is that true? I'm also married to the mother before he was born if this matter.
What are the required documents?
Thanks!

I don't agree with you this time, symptoms are runny nose, cough, fever just like the cold or flu.
Runny nose is for about 4% of the cases. Young people also die from the virus btw. The good news is that since you will probably alone in Pattaya the risks are low!

Does make you wonder what he was suffering from a few weeks ago when he went into isolation. A very bad flu can weaken you but people usually put on condition when it's passed. Cancer? He's no spring chicken after all.
He know his time is counted. He won't have control over the pandemic and the economy is crashing. He will be replaced or the army will take over.

Start by checking her temperature. If she doesn't have fever, dry cough or any COVID-19 symptoms they won't test her. If they do the results will probably come back after a couple day unless they have one of the faster test (unlikely).

i thought this tracker was useful, but 2 cases of CN tourists that were shown in Phuket and Krabi (from Jan/Feb, of which i had not seen any news) a few days ago have disappeared and the Thong Lor cluster is also not shown any longer.
I have no idea of the accuracy of this map. How could it be when the official announcements lack details.

They don't seem to want to give out the particular location on these. They say the boxing place but where did the people go from there. It would be nice if there were a map by district or province for Thailand. Some nations seem to do that. Maybe there is but I haven't seen it. Just seems they aren't providing very good info.

But this virus has only been around 4 months. How could there be any evidence at all about 1 year out? Smh.
It's based on other coronavirus research.

That would explain the low price but it fits my profile. I will take the time to read the fineprints.
