I went for an average cleaning at Elite smile and afterwards i asked the dentist about the possibility of seeing the orthodontist for a consultation. After a quick discussion with her assistant i was told that he doesnt service farangs as he doesnt speak English well. Her actual words were "he doesnt like speaking to farangs" i just assumed it was because of the language barrier. I found this a little strange seeing all the prices at reception were also listed in USD. I wont be going again.

Not sure which channels those are but I have a problem with most of the GMM channels on cth like football plus, club channel etc. Picture is awful even when smooth but also it breaks up very frequently. I am fairly sure it's not a problem on my end because most of the other channels are fine.

^^^ Commerce, what you describe is not unusual for tollways around the city. When the Eastern Seaboard expressway was being built 15 years ago, several cars went off the unfinished end - resulting in deaths - because there were either no barriers or inadequate signs and lights. The usual vows of cleaning up their act were made, but nothing was really done. In one instance I recall, a project engineer and a couple of workers were arrested and charged. Their bosses weren't.

I almost did this myself on the road you are talking about. Just managed to skid to a halt, will never forget it for the rest of my life. Very little consideration here for road safety unfortunately.

They are just lulling them into a false sense of security - there will be a lorry around later to take them for a nice trip to Vietnam with a bit of luck.

Also, who on earth wants to buy fresh food from a store riddled with those pox infected creatures?

I am looking for a GOOD orthodontist in BKK (ideally having trained in USA). Sorry to hijack the thread, I have used the search function and also tried to find one in CM without success. If someone could oblige i would be very grateful.

i have no problems with not allowing back to back tourist visas and VOA's if that's what they choose to do but my issue is with people being denied at borders. This is what creates the unecessary confusion. The decision on whether someone is a visa runner should be made by the embassy when they apply for a visa and not at a border.

I have just got back from London with a new triple entry tourist visa (GBP 75). I have a passport full of tourist visas/VOAs and non-immigrant visas. I have purchased future tickets from Thailand etc based on my being able to stay during the time printed on my visa and also made various plans for trips with friends in Thailand. Now i am in a situation where i don't know if i will be able to return for my second or third entry. If they had denied my visa application at the embassy then i would simply not have travelled to Thailand in the first place.

Good post op i agree with pretty much all of it. Things have changed here in the last 10 years and i do miss the old Thailand.

I'm talking about places under curfew. If the curfew has been lifted then that is another matter altogether.

Also, if you want me to be specific about CM i know of some places here which continue to operate 24 hours a day with the full knowledge of the authorities but others are not allowed to.

I don't understand why you have a difficulty in meeting a lady. I can't even go to the shops without being informed that someones sister, aunt, cousin ETC is single and looking for a nice farang and do i want her number. I'm in my early 50's but i get offered ladies of all ages.

Yes, but if girls are looking specifically for a farang and of a certain age then alarm bells should be ringing.The OP has stated that he doesn't want to be an ATM for such girls.

You should not a have a problem getting the visa.

You can only apply by post to the embassy in London. You can only apply at the consulates in person now.

I am going to apply for a triple entry in person in London on Monday (i have a lot of stamps over many years). Where did you hear you must apply by post?

This is the link to the Thai embassy in London and it states you can apply in person and the visa will take 1 working day. If this is not possible i am going to have a problem because i am only in the UK for a few days.

This is correct. I have them all because i like all football especially EPL. If you dont, then True is best.
