  1. I would advise Minburi to take that document I linked to and contact the nearest call centre for clarification.

    In Canada: 1 888 242‑2100 (8am - 4pm your local time)

From Thailand: (65) 6854-5946 (Immigration Section, Singapore)

Why would I need it? My wife and I have gone through the process and she is here now..BUt I guess I could call anyways.. :o

  2. I have nothing against those who try to ingrain themselves into a culture. But its grates when they go over board and look down at others who have not become so culturely atuned or as enlightened as they who has found the true path and then go about correcting their improper behaviour and such according to Thai Culture.

Those I have seen that have go totally native and I am with my wife she always asks, why as they are not Thai, and she wonders why they trying so hard and I really have no answer.

  3. I had a similar problem and in the end I found it to be the video card had overheated and soon as I replaced it my computer started working properly. I had to swap all the cards around and such to narrow it down what card it was by pulling one at a time but to me it sounds like something is over heating and been baked to me.

  4. They can't even predict El Nino, and it comes along pretty regularly. Meteorology is a science??? 50% chance of rain :D

Well there is a chance they will be right but then again there is a CHANCE they will be wrong..Thats pretty exact if you ask me :o

Remeber when the Thai goverenment fire their head meteoroligist(sp) for the tidal wave in Phuket like it was his fault.

  5. It is a sad state of affairs to be even asking about a divorce even before your married and shows mistrust right away on your side. How would you be feeling if she asked these questions of you. Will he take half my money and such. What if she wanted a prenup from you is the better question.

I dont need a moralizing sermon. And as I said before in this post she was the one who meationed the prenup minutes after she brought up marriage. Its just foolish to belive that two people are going to trust, respect and adore each other forever, sad but the truth. And Im also very sure two people can live together and love each other even if they made a prenup along with the marriage.

So please no more knights in shining armor.

    Oh please

Do you leave your house saying I am going to get in a car accident today? Or I am sure I will get robbed I know. With your positive out look on this relationship I am sure it will not work out anyway

as you are saying in many ways its going to fail. As for your opinion of a relationship and trust it comes across as some one from a broken home and family. So please do not tar and feather all that make it work with your negative and sad view on marriage and a family.

  6. It is a sad state of affairs to be even asking about a divorce even before your married and shows mistrust right away on your side. How would you be feeling if she asked these questions of you. Will he take half my money and such. What if she wanted a prenup from you is the better question.

  7. I also would send it as complete as then less chances of things going wrong. From my wifes interview to her visa to come to Canada by the way it it only took 2 months and she had 90 days if I recall right to then be in Canada before it expired.

A small note that when we went down to the Thai police for my wifes Police check the officer asked for a bit of Tea money to speed the process.

  8. Try talking to the doctors and specialists involved. Start with the surgeon, the anaesthesiologist, the OB-gyne, etc. etc. etc. You might get a good discount if they lower down their fees.

Do not worry about the bills. They really can't do much if you do not have money to pay them. Just don't sign anything. (Loads of people are in jail not because of debts. Most people are in jail because they break laws - including signing papers (for the debts).

    PJ,

A girl with a clip board and paper about 10AM that I HAD to sign. No choice as my baby was at stake I did it.

SO what did you name her? Is your wifes dad the Monk going to give her, her nickname? You just wait this will all seem like a distant nightmare and your little one will be walking and then talking and you will wonder where the time went.

As for your wife and the blues. Just be there for her and help as much you can.

    Give your baby a hug.

  9. I am saddened to hear all that is happening to you. Its not easy to start with but with the hospital hijacking you in your emotional state and the baby being born early life it sounds like a nightmare. This is never a easy time for anyone and you are doing great. This will work out. Just get your baby healthy and hold he/she? when they let you and when your with the baby just talk to yourself to the wall but most of all let the baby hear you.

    Hey BambinA

Your wrong its the new label from coca cola for Thai Coke clear. Only 99 baht :o

  11. Its pretty hard. A baby gets dyhrdyrated (sp) Pretty easy. The malls are safe with A.C but open beach and out in the sun is not good IMHO in regards to fluids.

Early Morn and at dusk when its cooler the beach and by the pool at your hotel are good bets and you can even go in with th baby if you feel the pool is not to clorinated. We took both our daughter in most pools one was good the other had a tough time with the chlorine as her skin is pretty sensitive.

There are a few ideas I hope they help.

  12. The beginnings are very simple...

Once a long time a go there was a girl band group called the spice girls. All the people in Thailand were afraid of this strange group of untalented creatures so they choose to ward off the music by placing dolls of the girls(Scarey spice was the most popular) under their cars to stop the spice girl movement their music and even some say a movie that they made. This is the humble beginnings of the dolls under cars tradition. :o

  13. I think the term Fag Hag is derogatory.

    hag:

    1: An ugly evil-looking woman.

2: Eellike cyclostome having a tongue with horny teeth in a round mouth surrounded by eight tentacles;feeds on dead or trapped fishes by boring into their bodies.

What part of that is derogatory?

  14. Police confiscated 796 kg of marihuana

The Border Patrol Police Company 245 in Nong Khai province seized 796 kilograms of dried marihuana worth more than 22 million baht.

The police confiscated the narcotics this morning after an undercover agent reported about the drug smuggling in Nong Khai. The police later had to wait for the drug smugglers to show up before catching them unaware. 23 sacks of dried marihuana were found during the arrest.

The drugs were wrapped up in a foil and are considered to be grade-A marihuana.

The culprits confessed that they attempted to sell them to the southern region of Thailand and foreign counties.

In Thailand, a kilogram of marihuana can be sold for 2,500 baht while the price would elevate to 28,000 baht per kilogram in foreign countries.

thats alot of dope, must have been a big truck, why not split it up and send it in different cars at different times ,wouldnt have lost it all that way :D

Or they could have found real jobs and not got arrested. :o

  15. A little trick I have found is to bring a small amount of Thai baht with that I have saved by exchanging at the exchange at the airport each paycheck.(yes the exchange rate is a pain but also it makes things easier on arrival IMHO) Then when I do travel to Thailand I will have some in my wallet/purse and will not have to worry about changing money the first few days till I am over the jet lag and such.

Also never ever exchange your money at the hotels in Thailand the rate is horrible.
