  1. Hello Sheryl seems to have very good answers to this topic! My case: I had an epidural injection in the lower back in the Pattaya international hospital (Dr. Danai, Orthopedist) years ago and my backpain was completely gone for about 6 years. Now backpain is back (some days not so bad, some days painkillers needed) Also, I can no longer walk more than 50 meters, then need to sit and rest for 2 minutes. went back to see the doctor recently and he did a scan. He then said, "no epidural needed" and gave me some painkillers. getting worried that I might soon no longer be able to walk. may be Sheryl has some advice, where to see a doctor (preferably in Pattaya) thaisabai

  3. hi all any suggestions? single person, 77 years old, living alone, no relatives (only friends) have bank account in the US and in Thailand. when I pass would like to donate money (whatever is left) to some friends and/or charity. How can I set this up? at the moment I have no idea how to get my account from the US to Thailand (working on this) Account in Thailand, it is mainly about the 800.000 Baht that I deposited for my retirement visa. should I make a last will? if yes, any suggestions how to? where do I deposit my last will so that it will be found in case of sudden passing? How can the beneficiary claim the 800.000 in my account? so many questions. any advice is welcome, thank you.
  4. guess You have lots of money. It is hard enough for us retirees to maintain 800.000 in the bank with no interest whatsoever. thaisabai
  5. looking lately at condos in Pattaya I noticed that many of them advertise 1 bedroom. But when looking at pictures I see most of them have everything in one room, living room, kitchen and the bed. I always was under the impression, that the bedroom was a separate entity with a door.

  11. I have experienced Amazon to be expensive, both in shipping cost and customs fee to Thailand. Ebay has much better rates, is quick and hassle free. Just bought a new laptop at Ebay for 40$ shipping and less than 40$ customs fees. arrived within a week in Thailand thaisabai

  13. does anyone know a reasonable priced place for a single man, no major health issues, approaching the late 70ties ? looking up the internet, I can only find very remote and expensive retirement places. Budget around 15,000 baht/month (rental only, no meals). Convenience shop near by and swimming pool not a must, but preference. easy travel to nearby supermarkets. Internet present or to be installed. partial Seaview not a must but nice addendum. Longterm rent preferred. any suggestions welcome.
