If you have previously used an agent to get around the 800,000 bit but now have the required 800,000 then you will probably have to use an agent one more time to get around Immigration checking that you fulfilled the previous years rules. The agent will charge you 8,000 to arange your retirement extension if you have the required 800,000 in the bank.

Thailand has ”all of March” to avoid new Covid restrictions
Kenchamp replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I have had two vaccine shots and will not be rushing to get a booster. There is nothing that i see from this Omricon variant that concerns me. Other more vunerable people may think differently than me but nobody can really know what long term effects there might be by injecting all these vaccines into your system over a short period of time- 62 replies

Since his little set to with that embarrassing guy from the bar i have been watching some of his blogs and have found them really quite entertaining Not really that much content in them but just everyday rough and ready stuff in Thailand, i liked the ones he did from Koh Chang, some of us can relate to it

MRNA booster better for those with two AstraZeneca jabs
Kenchamp replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I don't know one person in Thailand who has got seriously ill with covid after being vaccinated twice, in fact everybidy has reported mild, cold like symptoms. For me the two jabs of AZ i have had is enough the way things stand. -
What a fat drunken slob that "bar owner" is . He was acting the tough guy trying to impress somebody but got found out. From what i saw the camera was only pointed at him when he became aggressive.

Skin or muscle? The choice facing COVID booster recipients in Thailand
Kenchamp replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'm not rushing into getting the booster jab either. The only way i will quickly reconsider is if a more deadly variant appears or if it becomes difficult to go anywhere without having the third dose. -
They need to at least cut out the fifth day test. The first one i can sort of understand but even with that you would be open to dodgy testing and or a scam

Thailand’s eateries under close watch as alcohol rules relaxed
Kenchamp replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So you're more likely to spread covid if you drink after 11pm ? -
I feel the worst is over, sure there are still people getting mildly sick but with not much more than cold like symptoms. Time to move on and get our lives back to normal again.

Is Thailand rushing to categorize COVID-19 an endemic disease?
Kenchamp replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I know a few people here in the Pattaya area who have or have had this Omricon variant and ALL of them report mild symptoms. They have all been vaccinated.- 119 replies

Koh Chang: Huge tailbacks as 20,000 people go home after long weekend

Phuket was the same then. Now look at it. -
You have to ask yourself what really attracts these people to volunteer for the Thai tourist police. I don't think the majority do it to help out tourists but more for a feeling of self importance

Villa also sell bags of frozen Iceland British made sausages for what works out to be reasonable prices. They taste good but a bit too much fat seeps out during cooking for my liking

Mother still seeking justice for her son after 7 years
Kenchamp replied to webfact's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am News
Why do you think so many people arrested, in Thailand confess to whatever crimes they are accused of? At the very least expect to get roughed up if arrested -
Can't see much benefit in vaccinating healthy teenagers unless they are the one in a million who could get seriously ill with covid. The only other benefit i can see is to stop them spreading the virus to more vunerable people, but hang on a minute, shouldn't those more vunerable people be vaccinated first, and in any case, vaccination doesn't prevent covid or spreading the virus it just limits symptoms.
