I think you are fine - as far as I know immigration does not make any mention of how the money coming into Thailand is to be spent. If you choose to spend it outside of Thailand that is your prerogative. I would imagine a cash withdrawal of 20'000 and then sent back in a different account would leave a paper trail but that would require so much effort immigration would not find it worth their while.
Got to be proven pension money, no,yes!

Rocket science?
I would rather take UJ advice about 2 months, not 3 as you claim.

It's more an obsession with gun ownership. I can partially understand it, because I used to be a gun owner myself. Killing and shooting is an unfortunate by-product of the system, as no nation can claim to have a 100% sane population.
What I do find weird is the way gun sales go up after every mass shooting in America. That's like trying to extinguish a fire with gasoline.
If the gasoline excluded the oxygen, then it would go out.

Are you a witness? Strange name for a rental company.

Your insurance may be declared null and void if you:
- Ride a motorcycle without a licence that is valid.
- Drive a car without a licence that is valid.
- Are a passenger in (or on) a vehicle that is being driven by an unlicenced person.
- Are under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs.
- Operate a rental vehicle in violation of the rental agreement.
- In any circumstance, admit that you are at fault, or offer to pay any money.
Onus is squarely on the hirer, how the insurance or third party is paid out on the hire motorcycle and damage to the mini van is an ethical question that requires greater control and policing,
No licence sorry, no can hire ! ( dream )
"without a licence that is valid. "

I certainly hope they dig a little deeper than that. For example, who stands to gain upon his demise? The couple had split up, but if they were still married, she (and any new partner she may have) stands to inherit his estate. By my count, that's at least one and maybe 2 suspects.
The evidence you have should be taken to the police.

Subsequent to the meeting some IOs (notably CM) started asking some US citizens for documentary backup to their income affidavits when presenting them for obtaining their visa extensions. AFAIAA, this practice was exclusively reserved for US citizens.
To have satisfied immigration, and prevent all this brew ha ha, all that was required, was for the Australian and US embassies to change their requirement for the issuance of income letters and ask their citizens for documentary evidence of income. They could actually still do this.
But no, 4 embassies decided to poke the sleeping tiger, for their own reasons, and we are where we are today.
Cheers!
Time for facts, not fiction . Oz embassy stopped issuing stat decs because they are not valid for proof of income and are not a legal document outside of Oz.

I've been all over Thailand drinking beer with poor, working class and a few rich alike they were all happy in their own way.
You don't need money be happy IMO you either have it or you don't.
It helps, Ive gone from having a few thousand in the bank, to being a billionaire to a millionaire. Admittedly, where I was living influenced my finances. Oz, Indo then LOS.

Ive been here a long time. When I first came, my financial position was low. I had to stay at 7 to 12K budget condos. They were miserable places , full of whingers, blaming the LOS for their financial position, relationships going ;bad, , inability to meet visa requirements. Everytime there was a road accident, the Thais fault, a fight, Thais fault, etc etc. Then my income stream kicked in due to careful planning during my working years, feathering my nest . Now I stay in a condo, 30k , monthly. The people I meet here in the bar, restaurant, have a completely different attitude. To them, life is good, glad to be alive, glad to be here. Money doesn't buy happiness, not saying that, but are the ones who are happy with life that way because they have money or is it because they made money because of their positive attitude to life? Just a thought while Im sitting on the dunny sculling a chang.

Have you seen the current hotel rates? Most 4 and 5 star resorts are over 8,000 baht a night online. OK, a lot are group travellers but not as many as last year. Of course there's pleanty of budget accommodation as well but averaging it out I don't see this figure as unreasonable.
Your spot on madmitch. But some people will take every opportunity to say negative stuff about LOS.

OP must be new to LOS. To take a coffin on wheels here is definitely a no no. Bus, safer, car even better.

I had a one year lease, told the agent i was moving out after 6 months, and did. I didnt worry about my security deposit. I could write dozens of lines about ,laws, what ifs, mabys, etc. Aint necessary. Just do it, simple as that.

Not correct re the RBA exchange rates if you're referring to Centrelink payments. Centrelink web site states this to be the case, but this has been proven to be incorrect. 3 years ago I queried the exchange rates with Centrelink, and sent them a spreadsheet showing the RBA exchange rates and the rate actually being received. All credit to Centrelink because they actually telephoned me to discuss. It turns out that Centrelink had a contract with Citibank to remit all overseas transactions and that the exchange rates being used were actually Citibank's, not the RBA's. So Citibank were skimming on the rate AND deducting fees too. I have noticed with my current pension payments into my Thai bank account that Citibank is no longer being used, as the deposit description now reads Baht Sense, and their rate, while still not fully aligned with the RBA's rate, is much closer. It would be most beneficial if Centrelink could remit in AUD, as the exchange rates I can get from my Thai bank, while not great, are better than those in OZ.
My pension is from Comsuper, not centrelink.

Because you lose a lot of money in exchange rates and fees doing this every month. It is not a good financial idea. Put the 800 k in a savings account, do the math, and you come out way ahead in profit.
If you keep using the same 65k, you are circumnavigation ( think that's the word) the law. Gives us all a bad name.

You all may know this, if not, DFRDB and DVA are two different departments. DFRDB comes under comsuper. So from what has been posted, my pension will have to be bank to bank. Two diff. govt depts, two different rules. TIA.
