Make sure you buy a horn suited your battery and placed on a fuse that is suitable, or upgrade with another battery and a own fuse box as well. Im sure some here know this better than me, and can give you an better explanation.
Had a friend where the bike stopped every time he used the new horn because of a burnt fuse. Took awhile and checking before they figured that out as well.

So why post here, especially as your a young girl?
The majority of Men in their 50íes and older should know this problem and give her good advises.
At least she stayed on the topic and did not eloborate her whole life situation and issues, as most first time posters do. Brave I would say and clever

However a beautiful day out in the jungle

Just warmed her up for this destination. Been trying two times already, but there is so many trails up there, and not easy to find exactly the link to Phetchabun side.

Some here should read this article. Especially paying attention to this part:
You know it have turned in to religion, when people go by their guts and feelings and not science, and also claim science is part of the bigger plot. Im so tired of all this controverial discussion where people claim to know better than people who have studied the history, studied todays illnesses and diseases, who as said know the history are wrong, and they really trying hard to save us and the future.
Nobody knows what covid 19 would or could have turned in to if we did not try our best to stop it.
I really do hope we do not see the 30íes ever ever again, or at least in my lifetime.

It is a long read for most, but worth it, and also quite understandable backed up with experts. So whatever you think of washington post, it is worth it.
And Im still sure we should be happy to live today, and not back then. Just my two cent.

Only between 5 and 19 more years of lockdowns then? Mark it on your calender ???????????? celebrate good times come on!
It is smaller outbreaks, and not pandemendic outbreaks, thats a huge difference. The pandemendic lasted two years from what I can understand.

I doubt that covid will be eradicated in the short term but the threat can be reduced to a manageable level, just like the flu.
Deaths....dunno, I'm not comfortable with even one death but I may accept there is no real alternative.
Spanish flu took 2 years for the worst outbreak to loose intensity, 5 years to more or less dissapear, but oubreaks lasted 19 years, and Spanish flu is still with us today.

And you will find groups for snakes in Hua Hin, Bangkok, Phuket etc and any of this groups you can ask for id no matter where you live, but important is to mention your location for quicker id and less time wasted for them to give you excact specie, since the variations of snakes in colours and location can seperate a lethal one from a harmless one.

Please explain why California and New York are so badly affected when they went hard on lockdowns and other restrictions, compared to Florida, which apparently didn't.
Clima, vitamin D and K, ? Density of population?
In florida they drive their own car, In New york taxi or the underground, the lock down itself was not effective and done as it should.
We se in Norway where the new citizen, (poorer areas) who live in higher populated areas, have higher infection rates than in the neighbour districts.

that's a tough debate. Lock down or not. Save lives or not. No easy answers. But it would be extremely easy for us here in Thailand to end up like Brazil or India. Poor health care infrastructure that's been totally over run and falling apart.
For me? I was happy before this last wave as we could travel about with ease and really NO worry of getting the virus. That all changed a few weeks ago. The Thai government is doing a terrible job of managing this pandemic now. Terrible. With that being said, they've done better than many other countries!
Again, no easy answers. IMHO.
Again, same you, very happy to been in thailand during covid, and still we can travel as much we want if we just do not get close to Chonburi, Bangkok, Prachuap, Chiang Mai. This last wave just made us cancel a roadtrip to Chiang Khong to the music festival, sad but acceptable.
The reason they are not so trigger willing now, is because they know the vip´s and people from goverment will be accused of the last wave. ?
As said I believe closed borders is better than islolating a whole country from each other inside the borders. For there is no sense accepting the risk of imported virus, especially now we have the english, brasillian, Indian, SA, and more to come in the future.
And if need to travel, you will need to quarantine and it will need to be regulated and done in a proper way, and be fear to everyone as well.
Truck drivers who cross the borders in to Norway, do not even need to be tested. 100 truck drivers arrive Norway every day, and not being tested. Just one example.

Well depth?
in Isaan
9 minutes ago, ilikethai said:this is very important info! Thank you. So deeper is not always better right? I was told to drill during dry season so the driller will have to drill deeper to get to the water and maintain water through out the seasons? My Aussie friend and her Thai husband drilled 32meters down right next to the foot of a small mountain, about 20m away. Her water started coming out reddish brownish and when it rained it came out light muddy.
I was also told by a villager to stop drilling when water is found, check again, and drill extra 2 meters down then stop completely. Is this true? Does water table dry out during dry season?
That dependes on how the resoar are formed, the formation itself, how big the resoar are, and how many connected and how much pumped out from the resoar.
Not everywhere there is salt either, but this the drillers should know if they know or are familar with the area they are drilling.
Most likely the formation in thailand is sandstone and claystone. My guess in isan, but south more limestone. Again my best guess, so if any know the geological formations please let us know.

700 deaths in Norway. I'd say they did pretty good. Especially compared to the 2,200+ in Sweden.
Lock downs suck, but they saved lives. And has helped prevent the spread of this deadly virus.
My point is, we did not need lock down as much as they did, if they just controlled the borders better. Sweeden is a different chapter, and as said we (they since Im in Thailand) could lived free inside the borders since may last year, and saved many businesses and also prevented mental illness in a better way. Of course everything is not black and white, but as said, 5 million poeple living free inside a country have higher value than keeping the borders open, or almost open without quarantine.
Again, not against lock down if necessery, but the half hearted lock downs and half hearted quaratine is not good enough

You really need to do some research on this. You've left out South Korea, New Zealand, Norway, etc, etc, etc. Many countries 100% locked down. Even Canada closed it's borders and it's very difficult to get there even now.
Norway have only done it half hearted, and it is rediculous to vitness their stupidity. Those who had no purpose of travel have quarantine, and those who can prove they had valid purpose do not need? No forced strict quarantine before easter, and many more looholes repeted to many times. Norway could have been almost finished on a level like Thailand, but, nope.
We have to much import of virus. Norway only 5 million people and low density.

Are you required in Portugal to report every 90 days?
90 days is hard? Where I live, it is just a pass through the office before shopping in a 3 Week window. Havent bother to check if I can do it online yet. And I live 86km away from my immigration office. I really do not see the hassel to walk in, and get the stamp every 90. day.
However I have done the schengen family reunion and turist visa application for thai citizen, and it is far from hassel free. For retire visa, I have no clue, but I do not believe it will be any easier than Thailand. So far with help from my gf, everything have been easy from bying bikes and car, visa, 90 day, sell motorbike, yellow book,
but I really do not see they problem as long you have the papers they ask for.
-
Location is always important to give when you ask for id of snakes. 2. Thai visa do not have any active snake experts as far as I know.
If you need a quick id, search for the right group on fb. The mods of these groups will in most cases give you the right id in few minutes, and also give you instructions what to do, where to get antivenom, and also who can relocate the snake if necessery.
And you will after some few months learn how to reconize different snakes.

Well this isn't new or original at all and you might have zero interest in Mexico but I want to mention Merida because you mentioned that you prefer hot weather. Merida would be my top pick there if not for the weather.
Why?
Very hot and humid weather if you like that
About 30 miles to nice beach areas
Considered the safest city in Mexico
Surprisingly low rents in modern housing available
Charming architecture
Modern infrastructure, fancy shopping malls quality hospitals
Great restaurant scene with Yucatan, Mexican, and international food.
Lots of expats if you like that
Access to ancient pyramids and natural wonders like cenotes.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cenote
NOT close to Cancun which I consider a plus.
Merida is that typical South American style with armed guards where the expats living, and restricted areas you can walk safe after sunset? Thats pretty much how I experienced Brasil. At least those cities and tourist destinations I visited.

let me repeat that I want to buy a share in an existing bar, not run one by myself.
And I say I would take my chance in lottery, bitcoin or gold.
Gold in my eyes the best long term investment, bitcoin a gamble it will climb to new records in short time or in another two years, or at some point collaps, lottery I will rank the same as a bar investment, for one with no interest or knownledge in running a bar, with no interest in do the hard work to make it succesful, or with no network around you, that would help the bar.
If I run a succesful bar, why would I want you as an partner, except to milk your money out of you as long it last, and then trow you under the buss?
Think about it for a second

Well depth?

7 minutes ago, cooked said:.. probably depends on the area. Everybody in the village (6 households I think) paid ฿6 000 here, pump + various bits and pieces brought the cost to ฿12 - or 13 000. We found water at 27 metres.
We found water @30m but drilled to 60. Where you find water depends on the season you drilling, because the water table changes during the wet and dry season. Always better to drill deeper than the neighbour.
We paid 32 000,- for plug and play all included + one year warranty.

Need louder horn on Honda Wave
in Motorcycles in Thailand

I aggree with you when it comes to being aware whats around you, cope with the traffic, and so on, and realize that thailand have a <deleted>ty driving culture, but, coming here and say you never have someone coming at you once and awhile you do a shorter or longer drive, is utterly ..........
or you just got so used to it that it is what it is, or you really do not understand you where close.
As you say, always expect someone coming at you anytime, and they do no matter how good driver you are.
