Very well done: 3 years overstay, congrats....

Some people will never learn. Waiting till the last days is they rule. Complaining is they second rule. Worst case: they refuse your extension and give you 7 days to leave the country. That is the result, provoked by yourself by waiting until the very last days.

It is very well known: at Koh Samui they also ask 3000THB, for a normal extension of Stay, even the official price, announced in the office, is only 1900THB. Koh Samui Immigration is the TOP of corruption, very well known. In case you don't pay the 3000THB, they make a small mark in your passport and, next time you go, you can be sure you will have a problem because one or other document will not be correct and only can be solved ( as they say) in the main office: Surat Thani... this means: you shall have to take the ferry, go to the main office.... lots of trouble........ TIT.

I think everybody should have to know: an insurance only covers when YOU ARE SICK. In case you really don't have to be in Thailand: stay home, you know the risk travelling under this conditions. How many topics are already on every blog? ..... MANY.

If you can calculate: calculate it yourself: how much do you pay in 1 year for electricity? How much will be the the price to install? Is this so difficult to do you have to ask it here? Don't forget, also solar panels need maintenance and take in account sometimes things shall have to be renewed during the time. In Thailand, with the prices of electricity, and I speak as professional engineer, it will be very hard to make benefit with solar panels.

It is always the same story: it is always the fault of somebody else. You are supposed to know the rules in case you travel to another country. You should have to know what are the ricks of travelling during a time like this. If you are to lazy, not clever enough to find it out yourself ..... take INFORMATION... there are now a days possibilities enough to do it. A travel compagnie is to transport people and not to learn them reading information about the rules of that country the passengers want to go to.

I did try the first OLD methode: was not working at all: REJECT without any reason why. Two weeks ago I did it again with the new method: I registered for login and password: two minutes later I got it. Made the 90d report, very easy to use and three days later I had the approval with slip and next date.... was really PIECE of CAKE. Note: I did it on a laptop and don't use Windows but Linux. I know people, using Windows, and it also works. The old version was only with Win working not with Linux ....Why ???

For me it is very clear: you are in another country, there are RULES. You just have to follow this rules. In case you don't, don't come to cry here, you are guilty.

I had a similar case some years ago. It was not with a bank but a Thai insurance Co. It was an endowment program over 8 years with NO EXCEPTIONAL high yield: 4.5%/yr. The agent stole all the money, was after 5 years I did find it out and it was already about 1 mil TBH. The insurance Co did pay me back, without the rente, as they never received the money. I could accept this. I didn't use a lower but negotiate with the Co myself. The fact is: the Co is the end responsabel of the actions done by they agents. This is also the low in Thailand. It is easy to say: FARANGS always loose .... that is NOT CORRECT.

This problem is the same as people waiting for the very last day to make an extension of stay to come to the conclusion they are missing a document. A clever person doesn't have only 800K but some more as 820K on his account for in case..... Don't give IMMI a chance to find something to refuse your request. Be more clever they are ....

There have never been an amnesty for 90d reporting. The first report you have to do in person, the next you can do online and now this is working perfect and very easy to use. Piece of cake.

There is not one in Cha Am but Cha Am is only 25km from Hua Hin, so no at the ende of the world. You even have one there at Blue Port Shopping Center.

In the future: make your 90d report online. It is working very well now as I did it yet. Real piece of cake. Only the very first 90d report you have to do yourself, next can be done online.

On the old website it didn't work for me. On the new website there was no problem.. Had my register code in a few seconds. My 90d report approved in three days. Chumphon immigration is my local office. I don't use Windows but Linux on a laptop. Works PERFECT, piece of cake.

At Makro, they have the brand : 'BINTJES' ... This are potatoes from Holland and most factories, making chips and fries, are using this kind of potatoes. Yes you will pay some more as for Thai or Chinese potatoes but you will have good fries, at least, if you know how to prepare. Lot depends on the kind of oil you are using. Also in Makro hey have oil to prepare fries. I am Belgian, from Flanders, so I know what I am talking about. If you want to know how to prepare fries, ask the question here.

Never ask why they ask this or they ask that en never say: the Law says.... Just just have to take in account: the Immi Officer is allowed to ask EVERY information and proofs he thinks to be important for HIM. In this case: the money has to be on the account 2 moths before application and has to stay till the day you receive the final stamp. With a little luck they even will not ask for your bankbook as in case of a 1 yr extention as married the approval is always done in Bangkok and not at your local Immigration office.... So just say nothing and hust see what happpens.

Easy to solve the 'problem'.... Thailand works with a line (L) and Neutral (N). Just have to change, (inverse) those two wires at the light and look you still have or not.

What has ll this stupid discussions about seks and all this replies to see with you question of this topic? Don't forget the majority of LONG STAY farangs in Thailand are not young men. Most are above 65 or more. I live for 20 years in Thailand, not in the middle of a rice field, not in the middle of a touristic place but in a small city countryside in the middle South. Thailand became my HOME, I speek the language, have very good contacts and understandings with the locals, so I don't want to leave at all. This guys, only can talk about seks... yes they like to talk about something what is only memories... they still have seks 3 times a day: one time talking about it one time to try it one time to come to the conclusion it doesn't work anymore The one time it works: with the help of enough BLUE PILLS.

Mister Koeler, The answer is very easy: for Non O-A: you must give the financial proof in your HOME country, This means: nothing says you have money in Thailand. In case you get sick and need a stay in a hospital.... where wille be the warranty you will be able to pay? In case a Non O: there is a warranty you have money in Thailand, 800k on a Thai account or enough income each month, also on a Thai account. In case you cannot or you don't pay a hospital bill, they easy can confiscate your Thai account, something they cannot do or will be much more difficult to do in another country. So easy is the answer, and it has nothing to see with discrimination.

It looks as being a mistake. The mistake will be they stamped also the permission of stay date, not the under consideration date as an under consideration stamp is a normal procedure. So, don't take any risk: go back on 29Nov (today). I suppose you are not living 1000km away from Immigration, so what is the problem? You only have to take your passport with you.

In case wearing a mask is your only concern, you better don't come. There are more important things te be worried about. What is your problem to wear a mask???? I am living here for many years and always wear a mask when I go out, just as the Thai people do around here.

A lot of people, even living for long in Thailand, still don't know the difference between a visa, an extension of stay, a police office, costumers, immigration.... so they mix all what makes a lot of confusion. An extension of stay only can be done by Immigration.

The TM6 has a number. You need this number to do the 90d report. IMMI wants a copy of the TM6 to see this number corresponds with what you wrote on your 90d form. In case you left the country and came back in, you will receive a new TM6 with an other number. So, that is the reason they want a copy of your TM6.
