Once again, political correctness gone mad. Bring back Alf Garnett, Bernard Manning, Billy Connolly..........Then watch the namby pamby brigade get their knickers in a twist.......

I only ever found Billy Connolly from your list funny, but if you like thoughtful, far from politically correct and very dark comedy, I would suggest Anthony Jeselnik's first netflix special "thoughts and prayers".

I have read many of the remarks and would say that some of us are not tech savvy and often need advice on things that others consider to be simple. Me included.

I think there has been lots of advice given and no one minds helping out less tech savvy people. The problem is some of the "experts" don't give out great advice and it must be really confusing for less experienced people to figure out which advice to take. My opinion is that Eindhoven gave out great advice from the start, if that is of any help to you.

It depends on your specific social situation. You absolutely cannot make universal generalizations.

I have an example. I used to know a guy in one of the liberal towns in the USA. But he was blue collar and worked in a grocery store in a very homophobic work environment. He was miserable and felt like he needed to stay closeted.

It may well be that years later the situation in that store is much better. I do not know.

But its a big world where there are still scads of countries where being gay is illegal or even carries the death penalty.

Even in countries where gay marriage is legal there are still macho cultures where homophobia is rampant and deeply ingrained.

You can pass laws but you can't force people to change their attitudes.

I can only speak about my personal experiences and the places I have been(although many, the USA is not one of them). Yes, there will be small minded people(and guess what, the majority doesnt care about them too) but I still don't think there is any need to shout about it. Surely this would only cause those that do get offended by it to get even more angry and cause more problems for anyone who is gay. At the end of the day, like you say, you cant force people to change their attitudes and I am sorry to say, if a country carries the death penalty for being gay no ammount of coming out and being proud will change that. Me and everyone that I associate with, doesn't care what you do and pretty sure peoples feeling towards me are the same. If I think you are ok, we are good and if not, we can deal with each other only if we have to.

  4. Theres a German guy who has a pizza oven on wheels which used to be set up under a tent about 20 metres into the entrance to town in town off of soi Lad Prao 94. He did move onto Lad Prao 94 about a 100 metres from the old location but not been there for about 8 months. Really worth checking out if you are in that area and can find him.

Flagging yourself as a 'rainbow warrior' is entirely your prerogative and makes no difference to the point I thought I had raised.

I am in no way a 'rainbow warrior' and my comment about Morgan had zero to do with your post... I saw his name and that was it.

EDIT: thats why I didn't quote your whole post

Starred on TV with a puppet?

I'll have you know there was nothing wrong with Gordon the Gopher!

I don't care where he puts his wang aslong as its not near me! I find all this shouting from the rooftops about being "insert definition here" to be completely unnecessary as I am pretty sure nobody gives a toss about anyone elses sexuality.

Do any new computers come with a SSD installed or is it something you can only add? Not a techie so be tolerant.

A lot come with SSDs installed now ... I reckon the only ones that don't is because they are trying to get rid of old stock

EDIT: you should look out for the M2 SSDs ...as previously mentioned the samsung EVOs ... I have 2 970s but I do need performance so they maybe overkill for most. 8 series will be fine

  9. Whenever I buy a new laptop I format it, reinstall win10(or whatever it was at the time) turn off all the background junk and am good to go. Most Laptops if not all come with loads of bloatware you dont need or want, easier for me to format. I also do some hardware research before buying ????

Most posts bash every thing thai. It just depends on the thread subject.

I am not saying it does'nt happen and i've read a lot of things that make me cringe, but I think sometimes you are looking for the thai bashing in posts though. Again I still think most of the bashing seems to be directed at the media/government, but that is just my opinion

EDIT : I meant you in a broader sense

I'm sure I heard him say that the falang don't know if they are infected or not and just in case they should wear a mask to prevent further spreading the virus which seems fair enough I see his point. It was pretty tame language compared to the stuff I often spew forth and vitriol doesn't come close.

Yeah but to be fair you are not the australian health minister .... or are you ?

I tend to think he might be in for a promotion I'm sure he's been eyeing off the number one position since he was a kid,I don't think he would have made to many enemies on his side of the fence. He is a very crafty individual and wouldn't be at all surprised if he succeeds in his quest. He has already won the most toys (money) award for the administration.

haha ... you and your optimism :cheesy:
