Uff, I finally did it yesterday but very long day guys. Thankfully the officer I spoke to at CM immigration was very nice and she helped us a lot.

I got there at 7 AM and got number 60, at 10 AM I got the real queue number L50 or something. At 1 PM we got to the desk but there were a few problems. My company didn't terminate my work extension last year and even if I got out of the country on May I had to visit the immigration to cancel the extension first... Luckily I got a letter from my company in no time and they terminated my visa.

Afterwards they wanted a copy for any single page of my bank book. One page one sheet of paper and only on the front (I did front back copies). So back to the copy shop once again.

Finished at 3 PM and they will come to visit me in the next 10 days... what kind of questions are they gonna ask? Also during the interview they asked about my income and my wife's but I applied using 400.000 baht in the bank so I don't really understand the meaning of this question...

I had the same run around cancelling my work permit with BOI at sam yan... I was lucky had 15 days left to get it all sorted.

I never had the "visit" and we applied with 400 000 but we had already been married 6 years. I don't think it is anything to worry about though. They are just checking you are a legitimate couple.

EDIT : I hate that L queue! they stuck me in that one to change my stamp into a new passport aswell...which of course I was over the moon about.

Set up a 51/49% partnership and register it with 1 million baht of capital. Then get the work permit and bill your customers  in the name of the partnership.

thanks Joe ... will definately look more into this! Does setting up a partnership still mean you have to pay a salary? Or is it different to setting up a company? We are fairly okay financially, so if I was to freelance it would'nt be a monthly income just a few times a year.

  3. I have lived here for around 17 years and up until a year ago I worked legally for thai companies as 3d technical artist. I have been offered a lot of freelance work but have never taken any of it due to legality. I am now on a marriage visa and allowed to work with a work permit. Can't get a work permit as a freelancer though. It seems rather silly to me that they don't issue work permits for freelancing as I am sure many would be happy to pay tax and I am also sure there are many working with offshore accounts to avoid this issue.

As for iglu it just seems like a massive rip off to me.

I live in hope of doing the sea of green method one day here and am hanging out for the new laws hopefully to be passed next month maybe with expedited amendments to stimulate the flagging economy.

I can't see it happening but you never know ... It's been a long time since I smoked or grew and I'm not holding breath about anything changing anytime soon. ????

I recently read the Cannabis Ruderalis was used to create the Auto Flowering strains that have become very popular recently.I'm still learning things about this plant that your learned friend seems to know so much about!

Even a lot of strains back in the 90s were crossed with ruderalis for their fast growth

Does Your friend know about "hops latent viroid"?An affliction not uncommon but not well known and understood by growers. It causes stunted growth, something I suspect my brain to be afflicted by.

back in the day mine never had a chance to grow .... a bud on a stick
