  1. Putin has terrorised his people for years. People are afraid to speak openly and if ya watch independent news casters and volggers who talk to Russian citizens you see this terrorisation crystal clear. My question to you IAMHERE is where have you been? Putins Secret Police bash people in the streets for - protesting is illegal in Russia, homosexuality is a crime, any street protests like for LGBTQI - womens - abortion etc. has and is met with billy-clubs and tasers and gulag imprisonment with no trials. People (thousands and thousands) have been disappeared from their homes in the dead of night because they have been in formed on for anti-Putin speech. NO CRITICISM WHATSOEVER IS ALLOWED under immediate persecution by the Putin secret police goons. There is NO free press whatsoever in Russia at the direct hand of Putin (this from 4 journalists I know personally and who since about 2015 periodically been imprisoned without any trial for writing critically of the regime beaten, starved and slow poisoning in prison. All of them now thankfully fled between another arrest and imprisonment and endure the most horrific exodus in the dead of night's literally ala the days of the Iron Curtain. If you think Russia is a free place and Putin is not persecuting and bleeding his own nation, and that the insane, truly insane propaganda spoken on State tv (that is all there is) is somehow rational peaceful sane and humane then I suggest you go look at 'RT TV' and see what is happening there with your own eyes. There have been around 350,000 (that is said to be a soft number not near the actual) men who have fled Russia because of the conscription or rather press-ganging of the populace to fight a war most (except for the ultra- nationalist Ruskies) who love this idea of a neo-USSR, Neo-Stalinist rule under Putin. It appears fellow A.N. member that you are not here at all, but live in some other parallel reality.
  2. We had one of these at Manus Island to house the detention camp staff.
  3. "Keep trying"? What? To kill Zelensky? Who other than an insane, ultra-nationalist, fascist, anti-semite (Zelensky being Jewish) would wish him dead? Zelensky's trying to protect his nation from a brutal despot who murders, assassinates, and terrorises his own people as well as Ukrainians.
  4. If all of us rich (relatively to most Thais) took a garbage bag with us to the beach and collected a bagful every week or a few times a week when we went for a swim imagine what this might do to help keep our beaches cleaner?! Get up, set and example, do something no matter how large and endless the problem may seem and see what happens.
  5. Poorly installed or non existent damp coursing? ... plus, maybe, no waterproofing in outside render? Page 1 of decent building practices.
  6. Another falang working illegally has been clipped
  7. Snout nosed dogs all suffer in hot climates. Dogs with floppy ears will suffer from ear canker in the Thai humidity. Cold climate breeds ... best to leave for cold climates. Long haired dogs I wouldn't own here. We did contemplate Labradoodles or some such poodle cross as another pair to go with our Dallies but decided on the Italian greyhounds as they are so gentle, sweet, and yes quiet animals, and really great house dogs but love activity too, so a perfect balance. I love breeds like Labrador and Retrievers but the longer haired breeds form traditionally cold climes I would not own here unless clipping throughout the year to a short coat. We have Dalmatians and Italian greyhounds (bred in and brought from Queensland climes). Dallies were bred in KL Malaysia so generationally acclimatised, they are happy as Larry and have nice cool places to hang out all over the house and pool area. They're so spoilt they have their own kiddies pool to lie in as long as they like ???? Neither suffer from the heat and humidity. We use headbands on the dogs for sleeping during the wet season to hold their ears up and open and they don't get issues there. Their short coats are easy to manage (ticks etc) and as all Dallies shed we, or the staff brush every day. The dogs truly adore brush time and literally bring their brushes to us lol ???? Being active dogs we run and play time them every day. They swim like fish in both pool and sea by the way.
  8. Maybe give Gag a call. Patong school I attended for a few years. Good teachers. They seems to have solid connection with Phuket Town I.O. people and solve 'problems' well. https://www.phuketbkk.co/phuket-bkk-our-team.html
  9. Thank God I an not a Yank. My home country has much to be ashamed of but by comparison to the murderous, racially vile, treasonous nation that is the USA we are choir boys by comparison.
  10. The lack of judicial action proves just how rotten and farcical the US judicial system is that the traitor Trump has not been immediately arrested and jailed for this action.
  11. Ahh ... I think we might call such a person a coward and a moral weakling
  12. As the years and decades pass, and the planet warms there will be increasingly no places on the planet that will be 'safe'. Nowhere free of mega-fires, no amount of money that will insulate people, torrential rains, flooding, deforestation through whole tree species dying out due to increased summer temperatures and their inability to adapt to these fast enough, mass human migrations that make whats happening now look like weekend increases by tourists, crop failures et large. Whole areas of the earths food producing areas laid waste. Wars over potable water. Nice legacy to leave our kids, theirs, and theirs after them (if you are inclined to believe that man has markedly contributed to the earths warming). Enjoy your day.
  13. Its difficult to do so in a nation that is controlled entirely by Putins goons and FSB. Those who don't believe in the cult of Putin and his nihilistic, hateful, murderous plans are afraid, deathly afraid for thei=r lives if they oppose him.
  14. Seems your hypothesis might see some challenges given what has transpired in the USA and the level of extreme right wing powerbrokers in that country. Given the influence of the USA on world power balances German fascist parties draw great impetus and fuel from the rise of neo-Nazism in the US. Those mega-funders and promoters of fascism there are very powerful, highly motivated, persistent, and dedicated to destroying democracy and will not stop. Putin sure seems to have seduced, brainwashed, subjugated, and taken complete control of his nation in pursuit of a neo-Czarist fascistic autocracy and already begun the expansion of this evil westward.
  15. Why not get a suit n hood, smoke puffer, a large wooden box with a lid and small holes drilled for ventilation all over the box and lid. Collect the hive piece by piece, gently put in box, take to a forrest area, smoke the box again, remove the cover then open the box and leave it there. What a cool and kind thing to do for the bees and their work in the ecosystem.
  16. Its a crazy crazy place but damn its fun ????????
  17. Dummy Donny still can't seem to understand the difference between prosecution and persecution. I watched a few bits form Fox on Utube yesterday about his being charged, processed and arraigned for trial and they totally lost their sh!t about it lol ???????? It was both hilarious for me (as an intelligent well red and critically thinking adult with both reason and sanity), and a tragedy for the American people who watch and believe their unadulterated lies and rubbish. Donny the fake-tanned traitor is in deep deep trouble.
  18. Glad he didn't do a final swan-dive. Not so nice being temporarily 'scheduled' and taken to the psych ward. Hope nurse Ratchet was in a good mood that day.
  19. Yep the victim blaming in DV is truly vile and repulsive Richard.
  20. Wash your mouth out! Fashion, and social icons Kath n Kim. 'Looook at mee, loook at mee!!!'
  21. Swimming outside the flags is an added risk for safe water activity for sure. Rips can appear anywhere though Richard. I've seen and had to effect with our SLAA patrols rescues in Oz many times where a rip has developed within 1 minute AND right between flags. The prime thing to remember is to not enter the water if you are a weak swimmer, or conditions are challenging and or (even if reasonably competent) the surf is running high and hard. At best if a weak or non swimmer then to stay right at the waters edge and sit down and enjoy the cooling water as it flushed up on the beach. Even this can be dangerous if your a lightweight person, and or the water is draining powerfully of the sand. Even standing at waist height can see, you knocked off your feet and with the receding wave drawn out past standing depth in a second or two, or have the bottom sucked right out from under you and before you know it theres no bottom to stand on. You add no knowledge on how to dive through waves safely and effectively and seeing people being knocked too and from by the waves and dragged and turned topsy-turvy and you get drownings.
  22. If you come from still-water swimming experience only, be extremely careful when swimming in moving ocean waters. Many (Thais because they often don't know how to swim at all, and Europeans especially it seems) who come from land locked places know only calm, almost motionless or weak flowing lake, river swimming and have zero understanding of how ocean waters move. They simply cannot identify places where dangerous or developing dangerous water exists. When submerged in the water and being surprised and have no experience with rips and undertows is far too late in the day for self-preservation. By far the proportion of drownings are with males. Alcohol (and some other types of drugs) is a prime accelerator of drownings as it sedates, along with other cerebral regions, the reasoning parts of the brain, add to that the male oft-need to deny self-care and abandon prudence and there's a recipe for catastrophic events such as this. NEVER swim alone unless you are a very strong and experienced swimmer, and know the beach at which you are swimming very well. NEVER assume that you will be able to stay in shallow water (if you are a non or weak swimmer) and always stand on firm sand when in the surf as sandbanks can shift/collapse rapidly from under foot with strong undertows. NEVER swim with alcohol in your system or the day after a heavy nights drinking. NEVER swim after a large heavy meal - cramping. NEVER dive into water unless you can see clearly, and, that you are sure of the depth of that water when it is clear. NEVER be macho and swim outside of flagged areas because your TOO TOUGH for that.
  23. Ahh the old blue bottle ... Many a sting in Sydney northern beach waters when the north easterly swells came in. Peel tentacles off (NEVER RUB with sand or anything), peel/removing tentacles, pour vinegar or urine if no vinegar over area (these two things neutralise the tiny, tiny stinging barbs lodged in the skin, and ice afterwards helps a lot ???????? I got quite used to them after years of being stung. The worst was duck diving with my board under a wave and being lashed right across the face by one ... ouch! In comparison to irukandji (box) jelly fish the old bluey sting is mild.
  24. Yep they do look after us very nicely every time in exactly the same way as this gal.
  25. Smiling uses energy, AND! strains my face muscles. I'm an energy miser, total energy Scrooge ... no smiling !!!!!! lol ????
