Foam, and more-so latex mattresses are much hotter to sleep on than a standard spring and wad/padding type. Yeah all mattresses have foam in the top layers but they are contour formed and layered to allow air to pass through the layers to help heat transfer. From experience I would not use any sort of foam, or latex as a top layer in the tropics like Thailand. This material as a raw layer under sheets or a mattress cover is just too hot and doesn't breathe as well as factory constructed built-in mattress top layers. We use Seally Posturepedic 'Crown Jewel' beds in our bedrooms - 'Soft' which has super-cool bamboo covers (reversible topper) ... The Soft rating really helps with my old injuries and we get very very restful sleep. Added to this is a 'Microcloud' high density mattress topper (1000 gsm). After a day of sporting activity and then a visit to our local magical massage ladies we sleep the rest of the gods on this cloud! You can achieve a really supportive bed and a downy feel along with it for less baht by using a really good quality topper to improve the mattress. This also improves cooling as the micro-beads in the topper let the air and perspiration pass through. HomePro (across LOS) sell a fairly decent range. If you have the money Central department stores sell a wide range of imported beds - Seally etc. Of course what suits one may not be for another as it's a matter of personal need. I went years ago to Captain Snooze in Australia and used their computer controlled testing/assessment bed (they can adjust the different zones of the bed via a PC), and was fitted for the first time in this way and boy oh boy was it a revelation! I was amazed to be advised to go for a soft 'plush' top mattress not a medium. No more turning at night as the mattress was so perfect for me as an athletically shaped (not much fat to cushion me) side-sleeper. I was told tossing and turning indicates a too-hard mattress for a side sleeper and I was turning because of the pressure/loss of circulation. Good luck in your hunt.

Everyone knows Biden is a 'figurehead president'
Tropposurfer replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Look at the alternatives within the GOP, and what appears will be again their candidate for the most powerful office in the world and his last tenure, running the USA and then ask yourself the honest slow question. Can the entire world, not just the myopic xenophobic, insular, self-delusion USA, afford, cope with, and risk a GOP candidate or God forbid the madman, sociopath that is Trump as President, or in fact a Party that has betrayed ever notion of the Constitution? If you think Trump is a good man, a decent man, a man who is mature, balanced enough to listen to sound advice, to make sound wise broad thinking and seasoned decisions, to serve his nation, that nations responsibility, and the power this nation wields, to understand and act in effective ways to minister to the balance in our world then you are seriously compromised as a critically thinking adult. Donald Trump; From the clinical opinions of 37 independent thinking US psychiatrists (not a cabal of deep-state jealous Trump hating communists) who say in measured, clinical, written opinions that Trump is not only unfit to hold this Office of President again but that he he needs to be hospitalised and foremost never allowed near such power ever again! If you think this literal clinical mass-opinion is somehow out of whack, wrong, a lie, an anti-Trump hater narrative, or some deep-state conspiracy then I suggest you are very unwell and need treatment.- 91 replies

Wall Street execs make first bets against Donald Trump in 2024
Tropposurfer replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I have listened to and watched Marianne Williamson a bit of late and doesn't she make sense! I haven't researched her background but she sounds suspiciously like an experienced and highly competent therapist to me (a good thing). She appears to be grounded, sane, critically thoughtful, neither a sociopath nor insane (which is always a good thing when hoping to govern). A completely different and rich offering compared to either the GOP, Trumpist, MAGA insane asylum, or the other equally barren wasteland of other sectors of US politics as it is today. -
Overcharging Phuket Motorbike Taxi Driver Attacks Foreign Tourist
Tropposurfer replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
How to slowly incrementally damage your own livelihood and national tourist industry. Thank God we never ever have to use these fools. I used to enjoy jumping on the back when in Krung Thep as a younger fella, negotiating with lots of joking and laughter the price in my poor Thai; Asking how much to Ekamai or wherever and then when the price was quoted exclaiming; "Oh my Buddha, Peng mak!" then laughing n asking how much to Hua Hin lol ???? or somewhere equally far far away ... always had a good laugh with the motocy rank guys then off we went. Phuket motocy taximan is indeed a different animal it seems. -
Hi sirin, Not for sale mate. We used it. As to TORO being sold here in LOS: Jebsen & Jessen Technology (T) ltd 23/110-117, Sorachai Bldg, 25th-29th Floor Soi Sukhumvit 63 (Ekamai) Wattana, Bangkok 10110 Thailand +66 2 787 8400 I imported my baby (she was almost new then) with my household belongings in our container (no import tax). I also brought a good supply of spares with us so servicing is easy, and with such great quality machines theres little to do especially if one doesn't bash n smash the machine about. I do my own services with a bit of our green-keepers help, blade sharpening/changing, inner tubes and tyres, wheel and other bearings. We wash her with a pressure-gernie after the engine has cooled down so she's nice n clean we have a dry, clean, closed garage for her to sit in. Gorgeous machines, turn on themselves, 48" deck, excellent quality cutting, very comfy riding position, very good safety features.

Trump the traitor spews forth once again. He's now under investigation for the highest crimes imaginable; Sedition, stochastic terrorism, treason, espionage, aiding a foreign adversary, and this leaves aside the severe civil matters regarding massive, prolonged, systematic, and deliberate tax fraud. of the American Government and therefore its People. A real piece of work is Trump. If you believe that this sick, sick unhinged man was good in any way for the USA or the world then you, yes you who is reading this needs to seek help because you have been groomed, seduced, and conditioned by a sociopath and his sociopathic evil cult of MAGA.

I've got a 48", 4 stroke, Toro 'Titan' central-deck rear steer. . Titan 48" rear steer The one above is in the XL series and good for smaller lawn areas like a large suburban lawn. My advice - never buy a cheap mower! Especially a ride on as the cheaper ones throw their drive belts very soon after purchase with little encouragement to do so e.g. slightly too high revs when engaging the blades, stretching of the belts so when you engage the drive the belt just throws straight off, moving into heavier cutting areas, and general usage. Putting these pesky belts back on is a total pain, and as an older fella makes them dangerous for bodily injuries when straining lying around on the ground to do so. Toro make 2 streams of mowers a USA made, and a Chinese copy made under license to Toro, the later are obviously cheaper, they look the same but are lighter in metal gauges, the engines not as well made, and not as tough as the US made. Toro do sell in LOS, and online in LOS (my mowers and garden tools came over with my house contents - free import). I haven't used anything but the 1st pic Toro above, and Honda self-propelled walk behind 22" deck 4 strokes because they are just so tough, powerful well balanced, made to last decades if cleaned a bit, blades sharpened and changed occasionally, and not smashed into concrete and over exposed tree roots they last for decades. I use a new generation battery powered US made Toro cylinder mower for my putting green and it cut like a pair of barber scissors every time ???????? I come from Aussie, where grass and space is (was) common with houses. Had the luxury of working as a young tacker in landscaping so I have many hours of both laying turf, and lawn, tending with good teachers and used both good and crap mowers in NSW. Owning decent land sized here too and demanding very good quality lawns (not just grass) made it a no brainer to bring my mowers. We have use them in the housing estate till now to mow the common areas, and the estate is buying them now too. Ouer lawns are a tropical cultivar of Zoysia (often used on tee and fairways here) and its gorgeous. Never grown Zoysia before and its really good, and tough too. No ugly monsoon 'Dokmai' grass for this bloke thank you ???????? Bermuda 'UltraDwarf' on my putting green ???? Happy mowing ????

Pickup Truck Crashes into Heroine Monument in Thalang

Yeah, I mean, its only about 40 metres in diameter hahaha ???? -
Yep it has always worked for me in both injury recovery and preventing lactic acid build-up (in concert with mild movement the day after heavy workouts) e.g swimming or walking or cycling mildly to move the acid out of the muscles. I use our jacuzzi to create my ice-baths a few days a week after my morning weight workouts. I have swum in Aussie sea water all year round too at pretty cold winter temps a few early mornings a week (not ice bath levels but blueingly cold) and I swear by the impact on injuries, sore muscles, and how it stimulates the immune system. I swim in Europe at times when no one does and people stop and watch, quite shocked at seeing me do so lol ???? I still swim a few times a week here in the sea just after dawn, except in monsoon season for safety reasons but sadly it is never chilling or cold as at home. I very rarely ever get a cold and haven't had seasonal flu for maybe 10 years or more. Which I partially attribute to da cold stuff????????

I have seen the nut and the leaves of the Betel eaten in many countries, both Pacific and Asian. Identified by the trademark orange to reddish stain in the mouth, gums, lips, and teeth. From what I was told by doctors and nurses I was working alongside in those places the practice of the combination of nut, leaves, and the lime or crushed limestone rock (coral in Pacific nations) thats eaten with the nut to aid in digestion and stop the reflex of vomiting destroys the teeth. The teeth simply corrode and then from food contact daily just rot, mainly because of the the abrasive and corrosive impact of the lime. It has a mild narcotic effect and in those who chew a lot ... they literally chew it all day, having a wad in the cheek from waking till sleep which they move and chew then replace as desired.

Nothing like a plate of irradiated sushi and Asahi beer to wash it down ... yummo !???????????????? I wouldn't worry about it. We are all eating micro plastics like there's no tomorrow ... in the meat fish and poultry we eat. Our fruit and vegetables are dosed to the nines with pesticides and herbicides. Most LOS food is heavily laced with MSG which is known to cause all sorts of problems for human and other animals that consume it. Just take the lid off another icy cold beer, lashing of wasabi n soy sauce on your next piece of slippery fresh (?) sushi and down the hatch and be d@mned with the poisons its laced in lol ????????????????

No wonder the army steps in all the time and runs the place. Not that I condone or promote junta rule. My point is that the nations politicians and elite are so driven by greed and power that they deny the People safe decent humane government because of their petty myopic agenda's (and I'm not say that Pita is an angel or saint either).

Close call: Young boys narrowly escape watery fate in Phuket
Tropposurfer replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
How shocking that folks are not taught CPR as a school first aid activity. All taxi drivers, bus drivers etc need to be well-versed in CPR and annually refresher trained. I know a certain falang who lives near Nai Thon who has saved 6 people from drowning on a few of the beaches of Phuket in the last year. No press for him.
