So if asymptomatic carriers do not spread the virus in significant numbers the effective use of a mask is close to zero in terms of Covid19 prevention.

 

The gloating of this Thai doctor is clearly misplaced. He is wrong about wearing masks.

i said at the onset that the worlds politicians and ‘health experts’ would back peddle on the wearing of masks once it was clear that the medical facilities had adequate supplies.

I will say it again, but you have your own view which is fair enough.

Wearing a mask does help in stopping the spread of the virus if the wearer is infected. 
There will always be those who stick with the original findings of the health experts, those who are driven by political neccessity.

The common expression is sheep.

Twice now I've driven my bike to 7-eleven, only for the wind to blow the mask out of the compartment at the front, then not been able to enter the shop because they don't sell them

You could try wearing it on the way. It can also help with the pollution.

As far as I am aware, you can buy at 7-11, Family Mart and supermarkets to drink at home. No outside socialising.

I only moved into the condo in April! Thanks for the info. Just dropped lucky I guess. However, I did pay the full amount for the 251 units last month (957 Baht) Cheers

I did check my last bill. 251 units used and bill was 957 Baht. I couldn't see any discount and the rate is usually around 4.4 to 4.5 Baht per unit. So you could be correct ripstanley?

Yes not sure 4MyEgo but here is a copy and I did indeed only pay 182 Baht.

As I remember reading, the government announced a discount for people to help reduce the larger bills with being at home most of the time. They also stated the initial 9 units of water would be free but this must have been for houses because mine was the normal amount.

Just received my electric bill for the month in my Pratumnak Condo.

281 units used for the month.

I was expecting a bill for approx. 1,200 baht (4.5 Baht per unit)

Total bill = 182.72 Baht!
