I think it’s to create light hearted fun.
However, TVF members will surely find it disgusting and degrading and...when are the bars open blah blah! ????

Is it really worth ruining society for a tiny percentage, if at all?
The rules will be in Thailand forever now, don't think they will change in your lifetime
Masks to be worn everywhere in this place and anybody without will be a pariah
If you think that's a positive thing then we will have to agree to disagree
You could just er....go away.
You have no respect for Thailand and even probably for your home country also.
ignorance is bliss.

The girl in the window of the mobile phone, in the above picture. Isn’t that the one who was accused of teaching bad English pronunciation?!

Misinformation. Another armchair COVID expert. I just spent 6 recent weeks in Pattaya. I'm in Northern California now (not the Bay Area). Restrictions were MUCH greater in Pattaya when I left. Not even close, on so many levels.
That is exactly what I am saying. Low Covid numbers here. Hence, I would rather be here (which I am) than in Europe and USA. Much better to have restrictions and the slow release of 5hose restrictions.
.Comprende?
I hope you are now safe in California.

And you believe those figures, you must be a bigger dipstick than the people spouting them. Well we all know the Thais are the most truthful superior beings on the planet ????????????
I agree, not a lot of testing but we would know by now via facebook etc if the numbers were huge. Plus judging by the whinging going on about apps, hand gel, masks, everything over the top blah blah. Hospitals are not busy (personal experience). So yes, I tend to agree that the numbers are a hell of a lot less than Europe and USA.
Yours Truly Dipstick.

Well done Thailand.
Wouldn’t want to be in Europe or USA at the moment.

I think you'd be surprised
Every expat and his brother would be out on the lash plus there are still quite a few people here "stranded"
Hence the reason to keep them closed!

But with the likes of this place gone and Phuket too, maybe young girls might have to find "real" work, might too encourage them in education. Also most of all the government to creat other employment.
I might be dreaming, but a massive brothel by the shhht infested seaside hardly creates pride and respect for the area. Speaking as a father of 2 mixed race kids.

I am guessing they would normally be sleeping on the beach?
Of course this is not allowed but it would be more comfortable that hard concrete.

There is only 1 type of person who would answer ‘No’ to any one of those questions...
....and that would be a dead person.

If markets can open and people are only inches apart then why can't beaches and bars open
If you can’t figure that out then I think you should remain at home for a few more weeks!

Probably because they do not know it is not required or just don't believe the info posted on the immigration website.
Hi Joe, I did know about the amnesty and my 90 day was due on 22 April. However, I decided to go to see how things were at Jomtiem IO on 6 May. No crowd, seen in 5 mins. Then the officer told me not to be late reporting next time. Go figure....??

I just turn up to any exchange booth and ask them to exchange Baht into whatever currency you want. If they don't have it, they should tell you another booth to go to, if it is a well known one.
I changed 70K+ in exchange for AUD$3000. I got quotes from 3 booths and ended up with a good rate. But you should have no problem if you want a small amount.
Have to admit though, at this difficult time they may not be holding a lot of foreign currency.

Does the motor cut out if you use the centre stand instead of the side stand?

Go to any exchange booth and change Baht for other currency.

Thats interesting. I saw this notice as my 90 day was due on 22nd April. I decided to go to Jomtien IO a couple of days ago. It was very quiet and my number was called after 5 mins. He put another slip of peper in my passport with the next reporting date and then said, "Don't be late with your reporting next time. This time we will not fine you".
So, not too sure where the amnesty bit comes in???

The east/west cultural difference will always be there.
For me, I think there is no harm in wearing masks and if Thailand want to insist on them being worn, then I shall wear one.
There are probably too many Thais who think that they have low CV19 numbers because of wearing masks.
The fact is that, compared to a lot of European countries, the numbers in the Kingdom is much lower. This is regardless of how, i.e. masks, not as much human to human contact, the much criticised restrictions.
It would be good to pinpoint the reason but, whatever, be thankful you are not in the midst if a coutry where thousands are losing their lives.

Its a very difficult time for lots of people. Especially for the older generation in Thailand. It’s not good to be couped up in your room which restricts your normal social day to day activities.
Some ideas.
1. contact the number at the top of most posts for someone to talk to.
2. Ensure you get out at least once a day for a good walk.
3. walk with a friend/s.
4. IMOH thinking positive can help with feeling low.
5. Stay in contact with family in your home country.
6. Change you daily routine.
7. get up off your chair/sofa at least once every hour.
8. Try to stay away from too much alcohol at home.
I was feeling anxious a couple of weeks ago and was prescribed Rivotril to help with an occasional panic attack. It did help but I try to limit what I take. Only 1 tab a week now.
If you are still feeling low, I am keen for anyone to join me in my daily walk in the Jomtien area. A good chat can do wonders. My email should be in my info.
Cheers and stay positive.
