  1. Exactly what I, a fellow Brit was thinking 👍
  2. Well I'm pleased but doesn't it make a mockery of the whole ruling? Still, their country, their rules, not really our concern.
  3. So "Exceptions exist for international airport terminals, hotels, and entertainment venues in popular tourist areas....." Therefore I take it that places like Pattaya, Phuket, and parts of Bangkok won't even notice the day?
  4. Quite! It's the answer to HALF of all problems. Duct tape is for when stuff moves, that shouldn't. Now, when stuff doesn't move that should, you have WD40, being the other half. We professional engineers know these things 🙄
  5. That's just a load of old <deleted> 🙄😎
  6. Good! If any shop wants to charge me for visiting , it's simple.....i won't! I mean what sort of a business model is that? I know.....a sales prevention scheme 😳
  7. That's me😯 Anyone need a SCART lead, by any chance? 😏
  8. Not so! Many of we "normal tourists" come for 60 days...I've been doing it for many years, before I retired and since. Not everyone is constrained by some company telling us how to live our lives you know! Obviously I and others like me can simply get SETV (as I used to do) but why the continuous changes for no clear reasons except the whim of a government lackey? THAT'S what is so annoying 😡
  9. Just so. As I said earlier, I actually printed mine "just in case" but needed neither it nor the printed ticket, but a couple of sheets of paper aren't going to change my world, but might make life easier.
  10. For newbie, read untrained, unsupervised idiot! For what we pay for tickets, we deserve a higher level of professionalism. If we can learn the rules, so should they. I would have demanded to see the supervisor but i obviously got a good one and didn't have to.
  11. Will you please just keep it current or there'll be a reluctance to believe you.
  12. What a shocking response 😯
  13. Sometimes there airline staff can't be bothered to keep up to date with the changing rules....most annoying.
  14. How strange! I flew Emirates from Gatwick last week and they asked me if I'd done a TDAC but didn't ask to see it.
  15. indeed - notting for the Welsh Nationalists though 🙄 With these sorts of web forms, I'm used to scrolling rapidly down to United Kingdom or starting by typing UN, so shot straight past "GBR" at first. But as I said, "definitely no big deal". I didn't notice the Scottish option but I did go back and look at the first page again - there's certainly a very comprehensive list of Nationality/Citizenship options - guess they don't welcome Vulcans or Martians - I suppose flying saucers aren't allowed to land. 😂
