The dollar collapse is a big myth. An alternative to dollar by BRIC will take years to have any impact on the dollar. A dollar collapse means collapse of UK pounds, Euro and Japanese Yen also but that will never happen in our lifetime. BRIC is trying to set up a system to prevent the impact of economic embargo by US and Western countries and I really applaud for them for that. For the true competition to emerge, there must by multiple options.

You're correct it was a target but must be based on some sort of prediction, right? -

In January, they predicted 30 million for 2023. You can always google and find out. My prediction is 20-30 million. So average is 25 mil. Not bad estimate. -

People who have a voice do publish their own prediction but forum members don't have any voice. Their only voice is this forum. How long it will take to realize this? -
Visa from the UK

How can a passport verify your residency? I uploaded my US driver's license that shows my permanent US address aligning with the US consulate where I applied. -
Foreign financial accounts include bank accounts, securities accounts, and certain foreign retirement arrangements. Accounts located outside of the 50 states, D.C., the U.S. possessions, and tribal territory are considered “foreign” accounts.

Visa Retirement vs Marriage

Hmm. Simple. "Wify visa" needs a wife but no requirement for age. The Retirement visa does not need a wife but there is age restrictions. -

Staying in hotels of dubious nature or staying with GF whose son has trashed the only room is the new norm of quality tourists who want to extend their stays. -
Would the next government be kinder to migrants and refugees?
CartagenaWarlock replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thai government in very generous to the destitute foreigners rejected by women of their own kind in finding a bride and live on "wify visa" and start a new life for the rejects. As far tourists seeking sex orgy that they could not afford in their native lands because Arabs are paying more money, Thailand is a heaven. -
You may not be a liar but you are just saying from your extremely limited experience. This happens thousands of time. While somebody would say I have never submitted TM30 and got multiple extension and others will say it is not possible. Just like immigration officer, a bank manager can say no and ask for additional documents or pur barrier that can only be resolved by a lawyer.

Intolerant individuals. A bunch of glory-hole loving clan members. It's enough; I can't take any more. It's no surprise he had trouble dating within his own tribe. Now he's found a cheaper tribe whose members, despite being 20 years younger than them, are willing to unlock her treasure in exchange for his money.

Thai banks unaffected by two recent US bank failures
CartagenaWarlock replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
My question is why do they hold long term treasury bonds? I hold short term treasury bonds laddered. So every three months some portion matures and roll over to the next ladder automatically. If interest rates start falling, I can exit slowly. And if it increases I catch up slowly. -
Thai banks unaffected by two recent US bank failures
CartagenaWarlock replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
A married couple can keep upto 2 million US dollar in different types of accounts in one FDIC insured banks. While I am not much concerned about the failures of these two banks but the effects on small businesses/start ups can be devastating. Their venture funds will disappear and it will be difficult to pay salaries and to vendors. I can see a few startups are already complaining in FB that could not pay salaries to the employees. Hope the Federal government can step in and do something about this. They have not yet found a new buyer. Some are suggesting Fed to take over the bank. The CEO was also instrumental in weakening Dodd Frank stress tests and liquidity requirements. -

It is you. Because CAAT does not care what you think or post in this forum. You should be thankful to Thai authorities to allow you to live in Thailand. If you think you have voice, go and challenge CAAT and then I will know your standing in the society that has given you a second chance to live.- 34 replies

So, basically any random person sitting in a brothel or walking in the mall or even a homeless person on the street can sign it. I bet one can find such a person for 100 baht. What is the point of the signature?

They can't lend money. So they don't have to be FDIC insured. Now many and more FinTech companies have sprung up and they do offer routing/account number. If a bank does not lend money, their deposit are not FDIC insured. If they want FDIC insured, they have to keep their money in a custodial bank and have to tell customers details of that custodial bank.
