I also don't believe in educating a child in a first class country. Have seen thousands Indian coming from humble backgrounds and educated in India become CEOs, board directors, doctors, lawyers, etc in the US so much so that their median income is double the native Caucasians educated in the US. Take the example of most farangs in Thailand. All educated in first class countries but have to come to Thailand, rely on their visas from wife, and live on measly income of 40K/month.

I would prefer boarding schools in India, Singapore, or may be in Malaysia. But it will be up to the mother to decide. I can only lay the economic foundation and give suggestions.

Wow - you sound like Michael Jackson wealthy.  Interesting take on Fatherhood you have (not) .  A surrogate mother would have been cheaper and able to educate your "child" in a first class country.  Not sure how you believe this 19 year old will not have other children by other men in the future.  The money you spend may be divided up amongst countless others.

You don't have to be Michael Jackson wealthy. With three million US dollar that made 600K USD last year only from US stock market, I feel I have adequate money at the age of 58 and most probably on the top 1% in the World. What percentage of farangs in Thailand have USD 3 mllion and an income of 600K USD?

Surrogate mothers won't give the same feeling of a exquisitely beautiful model girl with a moist succulent heaven and a warm perfectly shaped body.

I don't want to take the responsibility (non-financial) of raising a child and most probably I cant. I will give her US citizenship as soon as she is born. Not sure if possible to give Spain citizenship or not, though I got it from my mother. She can go to the US and get her self educated if she had the money. I, born in Trinidad and Tobago, in a middle class family got an education in the US without anybody's help and using only scholarships. I have seen thousands of poor people from India come to US and get educated and become respected members in their community without any US citizenship. If she had the money and smartness, she would be able to do that. Otherwise, she can live comfortably in Thailand.

Most people look for cheap alternative and a few look for comfortable and pleasurable alternative - same as most travel in Economy but a few like Business/First Class, most buy Honda civics and a few buy BMW. You get the idea. Not that anything is wrong with that. People like to optimize what they value the most - for some it's  money and for others it can be pleasure and comfort.

I don't care if she has another child form another man in the future but my child must be the first one for me to support anybody for life. If my money is divided among countless others, I am glad it helped the family. But I cannot help a girl for perpetuity who has already taken somebody's seed. I help her now whenever I feel horny. It is in my control. Not in her control.

Many wrong asumptions by you. You say you doubt the foreiners name is on the Thai birth certificate unless they were married. Why ?  There have been literally hundreds of posts asking how  a farang can get a visa to visit his child  if he was not married to mother but his name is on the birth certificate. Also how to legetimise their child to get foreign passport is not married but their name is on the Thai birth certificate---it's very easy to have the name on birth certificate . Can type in search bar and see many posts.

Also the DNA test can be done here and is not too expensive , he may have orderedit to prove he wasn't the dad and then ran when he found out he was.

That's what exactly happened. He supported her for two years but she was pressing her to register the child as a British, But he never did. After two years he went back to England and then sent money for a few months and stopped sending money, blocked her in line but unknown to him, she is still  fer Facebook friend.  All attempt to try to contact him through Facebook has failed and now he has blocked her in Facebook also.

I met her in a disco. She speaks good English. So we became friends. But I don't want to support her for life because the child is not mine.  I have taken the same stance for my rented sugar babies in Europe and the USA.

I fled to Thailand last year (my first visit to an Asian country) to hide my whereabouts from some unsavory characters. I have already impregnated (confirmed by fetal DNA test) a 19-year model from Poseidon. I support her now with 40K/month cash, 30K/month credit card, unlimited maternity care at Bumrungrad, and a rental condo. These are chump changes for me. I promised her I would give her two million baht when the child is born and buy her a house and a car and continue giving money every month still I die. Only thing she has to do is not damage the child  before the child is born. I want her child to carry my DNA and my last name to continue my DNA in the future generations.

I don't want to impregnate another lady who had a child from another person just to support her financially for life but want to help her non-financially if possible, if not it is not my headache. I'm not looking for a wife or a marriage visa. I already have a 20-year EV, passports from US, Spain, Trinidad and Tobaco, and Antigua and Barbuda.

  4. My rented girl friend has a girl from a British man. The biological father is in the birth certificate and confirmed by a DNA test. After the DNA test, he fled. The mother has a copy of his passport. Can she claim child support in the UK embassy? If so, what is the process? She is also interested in registering the child as a British citizen. Can she do that without father's cooperation and present whereabouts except facebook profile.

  5. I've a 20-year elite and I don't like to bother with 90-day or TM30 as long as the Immigration has my correct address. Elite office will 90-day but I am not sure if any 90-day from Elite office was rejected due to non filing of TM30? Can some elite member confirm this? If they are rejecting 90-day report from elite office for not filing TM30, I would fly to Singapore or Tokyo before 90-day is due which is next week.  I don't have any need to visit immigration in near future.

  6. I don't understand why people are so freaked out about TM30 or 90-day report. I see dozen of posts everyday about TM30. I have decided not to report TM30 or 90-day and pay the fine if needed. The fine is only 1600 BHT and not cumulative. For people who need any immigration help, it may be a hassle. As I have a 20-year TE visa, I don't need any immigration help (Probably in my life time). I can get out and come back once a year instead of renewing it in the CW office every year. If caught in the immigration raid (extremely low probability) , I will just pay the fine 1600 BHT. It is not a big deal. Why should I subject myself to Nazi era reporting in 21st century? Good luck to all who are reluctant to pay the fine or need yearly immigration office visit. I could have gotten a retirement visa (as I am 58 years old) but preferred 20-year TE for its flexibility and hassle free feature for permanent stay in Thailand. Now back to condo hunt for a condo purchase.

first you say that the TE office does your 90 day reports

It is not automatic. I have to go to their office and leave my passport with them. What happens if I forget or don't want to go to their office every 90-day? I have to also time the visit. This is all bothersome for me.

    45 minutes ago, Peterw42 said:

fine for not doing a 90 day is 2,000 baht and for not doing a TM30 is usually 1600 baht

Is it cumulative (2000x number of  90-day skipped) or one time when caught?

Any report of people being caught for skipped 90-day and TM30 in an immigration raid?

What is the chance of immigration raid in a condo and while traveling? I live in Q condo, Sukumvit, Bangkok. Mostly use grab or BTS and MRT. I don't go to Nana or Soi Cowboy at night.

  8. I have a 20-year TE visa. The TE office does my 90-day report in Bangkok. What happens if I don't do 90-day report? I can leave and come back to Thailand anytime I want to. There are no checks for 90-day report or TM30 report during exit. I often go to Portugal/Singapore/Japan for a few weeks. To avoid 90-day report, I have to time it. Was wondering what happens if I don't do any 90-day report or TM30 report. Just come and go. If caught in a immigration raid, I can pay the fine. Money is not a problem. What is the best solution for me? Please don't post about app, online, mail, how easy it is, etc. Just need to know the penalty. Is it a criminal  offense or a civil offense?

  9. It is confirmed. She is pregnant. But I have to wait for fetus DNA test. Doctors in Banglamung suggest to wait at least 10 weeks. She stays with me now in Q condo. I give her 30K/month and a credit card with 20K limit, unlimited medical check up at Banglamung. If the paternity is confirmed I told her I would immediately transfer 100K to her, after the child is born, another 200K. She will get a house, car, and an allowance of 30K/month for her entire life. I wll be the child's father in the birth certificate and the child will take my last name.

t says you have the right to get the visa affixed at any Thai embassy or consulate. Doesn't Thailand Elite say this is only possible in Thailand, for example when arriving an the airport?

When I talked to the sales lady before I got my 20-year TE, she told me I could get the visa stamped in the US embassy (I was in US when I applied) or inside Thailand in Bangkok if I am already in Bangkok. Of course to be in Bangkok I need to enter Thailand using a Tourist visa (the passport I used for TE visa does not allow visa exempt entry) which I obtained in Singapore.

Will you consulting a lawyer(child expert one) about your legal rights to any offspring,

Can you please elaborate on this? What I need to do? If it is confirmed by DNA test that the baby is mine and in the birth certificate the mother says I am the father, are not these two evidences sufficient for me to register the baby as a US citizen with the embassy? If not what is the procedure. I want to register the baby, if mine confirmed by DNA test, as a foreign born to a US citizen.

Sorry, but if you read a few of the threads about farangs getting taken to the cleaners by Thai girls you would understand why.

Of course you could be the lucky lottery winner, so good luck, and be careful out there.

Why only Thai girls? Girls throughout the World do the same thing? In the West they use the legal means of divorce and here they take it for a ride and dump you. That's OK if someone gives  advise abut how to protect from such disaster. But most of the comments are cynical which I ignored completely. My questions are still unanswered. To repeat
    a) How soon can I get a pregnancy test after the period stops.
    b) Can a fetal DNA test be done to determine the father and how soon it must be done. As I have promised her that I will give her 300K BHT if she becomes pregnant. I want to honor that promise. She was almost with me three weeks prior to her period stops. So I most the baby is mine but I want to ascertain it.
    c) Any suggestions to prevent her aborting the baby after she gets the money? She promised me she would stay with me still the baby is born.
    d) Any other medical advise?

I don't mind constructive criticism but I would ignore cynical comments

She missed her period yesterday. How soon can she do a pregnancy test to confirm the pregnancy and when can we do a DNA test to confirm it is my baby. Any recommended place for fetus DNA test? She is now staying with me in Q condo, Sukumvit. Also, I want her to set up with a gynecologist at Bumrungrad hospital for regular check up if she is indeed pregnant

Thanks for all your cynical comments. I'm still waiting for my some constructive comments with suggestions to my original questions that I re-quoted above. Also, I have a life,  I cannot come to the forum everyday to check it out.

I suggest hiding as much money as possible, so when it's over the OP doesn't have to fly in Pattaya.

It is pretty much hidden in half a dozen Antigua banks. She has only seen close to a million baht in one of my account. I once gave her my ATM card to withdraw 20K baht.

  15. I convinced here to spend a weak with me in Phuket. We are in Phuket now. She is asking for 300K in advance for having sex without condom. She says she had to protect her if she becomes pregnant. I gave her 50K in advance and a Capital One business card with a limit of 30K/month and told her I would give her 300K if she becomes pregnant.

  16. Also got my approval letter (email) today. It took almost 2 months. I will call them tomorrow to arrange for payments. As I am in Thailand now with a tourist visa, I will go to their office to make arrangements for the visa.

I opted to pay in Thai Baht with my Chase credit card (where the small print said no rate would be guaranteed and it would be final) and the exchange rate was 31.45 baht to USD.  That amount makes a difference when sending 1,000,000 baht.

Great tips. Always pay in local currency to get the best rate. Never pay in you home country's country.

I noticed lots of brouhaha about health insurance. Does it apply to anybody over 50, like TE card holders? I checked the rates and they are not bad (only 2K USD per year but coverage is paltry). I already have a catastrophic health plan from United Health (the largest health insurance company in the World) for up to one million USD anywhere in the World with a max out of pocket 10K USD and a 20:80 co-insurance. I also have a tax free HSA account accumulating 3K per year for 10 years. I don't want to buy any additional insurance if I could avoid it. If forced, I have to buy a worthless insurance, I guess.

  17. I called their official phone number and the rep said the same. It may take up to 4 months. And if somebody does not have any history in Thailand (like me), it takes a little longer but never more than four months. I also asked for any express service to speed up the process but she said they don't have express service. Oh well, if need be, I can always go to Singapore and get a new tourist visa or may be go and stay in Macao for a few months.
