I spent ages chatting with iviewHD about how to use the program on my laptop - finally the guy apologised and said you can only use it with an Android box connected to your TV. Grrr.

At the moment I'm back to Mobdro and stream2watch. They've both been working well for today's Premier League - the acid test will come in an hour's time, when Spurs play Liverpool

still keen if anyone has any other ideas, thanks!

Your problem is you want a service but only using a format that suits you.

Most services only use Android and perform best on a android box.

I showed you a service using windows but was too expensive for you.

I have been using services like this for 6 years now. If you want a reliable IPTV then use a android box and a TV.

I spent December in Thailand , Bangkok , Pattaya , Hua Hin and Phuket ( Karon ) and would concur with the OP.

Both my personal observations and chatting with local trades people suggest that business is extremely sluggish.

Since the New Year I have been in Southern Laos ( Pakse and the Boleven ) and it is striking how much cheaper day to day items are compared with Thailand.

This is confirmed by 2 Thai travelling companions who on a daily basis have been converting local prices into baht with a certain degree of astonishment.

Although the strong baht / weak western currencies have played a significant part , domestic inflation has also played a part in making Thailand relatively expensive.

One can make all sorts of excuses but frankly one of the kingdoms major selling points was that it was a bargain destination, not true anymore.

When one , in certain cases , is paying the same as in many parts of Europe or North America , something has gone very wrong.

How are day to day items cheaper than Thailand when almost everything is  imported from there?

I too just got over my worst case of chest congestion/cold/flu/fever bout of something of over 10 years living here. It was miserable, I actually thought about going to the hospital. I will say dont waste your money on amoxi here, thais and se asians have taken it for everything so long (like eating candy) I believe it is about useless for anything now, finally got my wife to quit buying it. Once my body is spitting things out it is telling me bacterial and time to get some azithromycin. Quinolones especially noro and cipro are life savers when you get food poisoning, i personally have never had any side effects from them.

Me also. Worse sickness since I've been here.

Aching body, fever, headache, sore throat and chest infection.

Antibiotics have worked a bit(I never take them).

The fever wasn't the thing that bothered me the most it was the constant headache.

The wife got me some 400mg probufen which has helped the most.

  4. The Vietnam/Thailand comparisons are interesting but it depends what the individual/party are looking for.

Vietnam has some good things going for it like lack of alcohol tax so you can enjoy wine, imported beers etc at a reasonable price rather than this p*ss Thailand has to offer.

Accomodation is on par. If we are talking about native food then Thailand wins although I'm partial to a Ban mee.

Locals are probably more friendly in Vietnam but that's normal as tourism in newer to them. Not so tourist tired.

If your coming for girls then it's Thailand .

Mainland beaches are probably more enjoyable in Vietnam but it can't touch Thailand for islands.

    Medical Thailand again.

If you want cheaper and less visa issues then Vietnam is for you but IMHO Thailand is better.....for now.
