It's all about tour operators who businesses were set up solely to accommodate Chinese tourists.
It's not like they have been slaving away for 20 years building a business.
Those who have are doing just fine now and Thailand is a much more enjoyable experience at the moment.

Both is true.
There ARE deserted places where business is chinese orientated. These are many.
But: The more western/russian related spots have business as usual imo.
For sure Pattaya is extremely less crowded at the moment.
If this means deserted, I love the desert.
Exactly! People who put all their eggs in one basket are hurting.
Everybody else is doing fine. Was in Pattaya two days ago. People in bars. Every restaurant I visited was doing well.
Harbor mall was empty but it always is 55

I don't see any difference in tourist numbers from last year to this year.
The only people who are suffering are the people who favoured Chinese customers over everybody else.

It's interesting to read how the tv users experiences differ to the professional reviews.

Fortuner and MUX drive like trucks. The Ford is definitely a nicer drive but the quality is just not there and Ford of Thailand have very poor customer service. Toyota is head and shoulders in front on quality, so even if the ride is inferior the Toyota is the better buy.
So Ford is the best drive! Toyota is better quality! What do you mean by "better quality?"

Didn't Egyptians use honey on cuts. Apparently bacteria can't survive in honey.
Bacteria can't survive in alcohol over 50 to 60 percent. Viruses can't survive in 90 percent alcohol.
Whiskey and honey seems a good mix.

Anybody own one? Better than Fortuner or Pajero? Thoughts please!

Wouldnt a power cut in the middle of the night be advantageous?
Can't shoot anybody if you can't see them.
No way to charge phones to see what was happening outside giving a advantage to the forces.
Just seen Farflung write the same. They would know what he took. Unlikely he planned for night vision equipment.

Hard to see this getting any better unless he shoots himself!

Handing out masks out of their packets with bare hands and he has the audacity to condemn other people.

Samet is busy the same as every year but the Chinese have dropped 90%.
Not a issue for those who didn't prioritize Chinese customers.
It's great here. No queue's in 7. No dodging them walking on the road while on your motorbike.
No having to remove them from talking up all your sunbeds or seats without buying anything.
Farang as far as the eye can see. It's like 10 years ago!

WiFi signals travel out and down so move the router to the second floor.

This a disease from foreigner. Is NOT a thai disease. NO tourist or Thai die in Thailand because this.
Shopkeepers are hoping the impact is shortlived, with one sign in a store window reading: "The Thai people pray for China and hope China will recover soon. China and Thailand are family!"
But Thais and Chinese are family 555

The cheaper option is the premix render is applied to a wall then handfuls of normal cement thrown on the wall and then run through with a wet trow in various directions.
This option is usually only used when it is a bare block/new build.
You can buy a mix in a tin called loft something but imho it isn't as nice.

Hmm, isnt it also TAT who says that
Chinese and Indian tourists are quality tourists that spend heavenly? If so, my question is, why should the rather small cost of a visa hold them back from coming?
And the offer of a voucher for somtam or Khao pad ain't gonna swing it.

Ive been living with a muslim girl for 4 years. She eats bacon, drinks, and she went and bought a dog.
Im raised catholic, i would have no problem changing religiin as it means nothing to me.
Im not an atheist though. Atheists must be so intelligent, they know for certain there is no god, but others only believe.
I think they just believe there is no god!

I'm in Da Nang right now and a beachside hotel with a Seaview room is costing me just 250 thb a night.
Beers is around 25-40 thb depending where you go.
Thailand is pricing itself out of the market and other alternatives are becoming more attractive
What's the name of the hotel?
Pattaya: Reports of resort’s demise greatly exaggerated, tourists still here, say beach vendors

Was in Pattaya Sunday night. Took a baht bus down Soi Bakaow, down 2nd road. Went in to Everest to order some food and went next door for a beer in Retox. All around 8-8.30.
Bars and Restaurants were packed!
