How infectious is Covid 19?
Most of you have got plenty of time.
There's currently a free Covid 19 online course running where you can easily join in.
One of the videos, very informative. Always updated.
https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/covid19-novel-coronavirus
I hope that it's allowed to post it?
Mods, please feel free to delete it, should it be against any forum rules I do not know. Thank you.

Correct.
Settings works on Google Chrome.
Not on Firefox.
Presently in states Germany in the bottom left hand corner, and Google offered in: Deutsch
Then go to the right upper corner and press settings. Then go to advanced and scroll down. Then you can choose the language setting.

Then foreigners from more developed countries should stop spending their money here.

Immigration is ruining this country for tourism and retirement.
There are plenty of countries with more to offer than Thailand and welcome visitors and retirees...
Take your tons of paperwork to the bank and see how much it is worth...before long that is all you will have left as evidence that foreigners once came and supported your economy...
I've already told friends a year ago NOT to waste their money in Thailand.
Now with all the Farang hate news, foreigners would be inane to bring money to such a country with a dual price system.
The Chinese brought the virus and prostitutes helped a lot to spread it to foreigners here.
These on the other hand brought it back to their countries.
And now you can read more and more posts that Frarangs were the cause of Covid 19?
Most people in this country do not know that Thailand would be similar to Burma without the tourist $$$.
And that all happened to get a few baht out of Chinese people?
The government should be ashamed.

It's not insane. It's actually very good for children to experience different cultures and learn another language. There is no problem at all in Thailand with finding friends for kids. Plenty of kids from many countries.
There's no evidence they're drug addicts, Jesus Christ.
I didn't say that they are drug addicts. Unfortunately, are all druggies going to Ko Phangan.
And you really believe that growing up between all these people is good for kids?

irresponsible and selfish parents. sorry, have no sympathy for them
As already mentioned, taking two kids to a country where they can't even communicate, nor will they have any friends, is purely insane.
If they believe that they are in paradise because these guys had such a lovely and eventually drugged time on a holiday, they seem to have forgotten that living and holidaying in a country can't be the same.
Sorry, but Ko Phangan is well known for all sorts of drugs, and that would be the worst place for any kids to grow up.
I do not think that anybody on the island was looking for a dive instructor.Pretty weird in times where others are trying to leave, they flew to Thailand.

Some people even go a bit further. Here's a guy who uses GFM to make a holiday in Thailand.

They did the right thing. Being in the UK now would be a lot worse, more restrictions and greater risk of Covid19 for the kids.
Hopefully they will find a way to pull through. Not nice to see a whole family put in difficulties because of the lockdown of the world's economies.
No-fault of their own? Not having insurance with two kids, is asking for massive troubles.
“We don’t want to come back to the UK because we have nothing there now. We gave up everything"
I do not think that they had much back in the UK, and why they moved to a drug party island with only a few tourists makes not much sense.
Where have you read that he had a job before they arrived? There remain countless dive instructors who are jobless now.
Now the father cannot work because there are no customers who want a dive instructor.
The kids need to go to school, how do you think will they manage that on Ko Phangan? Selling drugs, or what?
Only certain types of tourists got to this island, because of one reason.

"Relocated"?
What does that mean?
Sold everything? Came with little kids?
My BS-dar is screaming WARNING!
Relocated means to move to Thailand without having a plan. I only feel sorry for the kids, to be honest.
These people do not look like they could homeschool them.

Thanks for bringing this up and i hope that others can shed some light on it.
Our landlord lives far away and it has to be the one who's mentioned on the electricity bill to claim any money.
I've seen some other documents, but it was more about the meter installation fees.
Please share your knowledge here.

I've been living here for 18 years now and have been working at schools for 15 years.
I have to do my yearly visa extension and work permit the same way as I just arrived in this country.
The tone at the Immigration got nasty and loud, no thanks.
I've had savings, bought plenty of stuff that kept Thais in jobs, but now I can't see any more of this Farang Xenophobia that's going on here.
Not only the Thai colleagues seem to dislike foreigners more and more, but the ordinary folks are also getting more impolite by the hour.
It was all different 18 years ago, but I'd never settle down here again. I wish I'd known that before.
I do not see any reasons to continue living here and will do what I consider best shortly.
If these idiots believe that more and more foreigners will come as tourists, it's time to open their eyes.

Effective propaganda—instead of blaming the Chinese for infecting Thailand (and the world) they single out western tourists.
Amazing Thailand.
This is true. Many of these uneducated people might believe that Italians, Germans, Brits, and Americans were the cause of the virus.
How many of them know about Wuhan?
It's a shame to blame those who thought this country would be a good place to live.
It turns out not to be the case.

15 OR 12? make your mind up,and who's to say the foreigners didn't catch it from Thai people, really lets be fair and stop pointing your finger at the farang all the time.
It's obvious that many foreigners got the virus from Thai prostitutes.
But they'd not report that.

How can something like this come as a surprise to any long-term Farang living in rural Thailand?
The laws and regulations issued by the "Government" in BKK, only serve as "recommendations" to "Local Authorities". It always has been like that. To be "on a good footing" with local Chieftains/Local Power Brokers is the best Insurance to avoid undue harassment by zealous "officials", looking for a victim with a fat wallet.
Otherwise, living in splendid isolation in a 4 mill mansion will inevitably invite uniform-wearing "officials" seeking financial opportunity these days (one way or the other).
Some 20 years ago, a "rich" Farang in rural Thailand was untouchable. Times have changed. The guy lives in an old shaggy house. Many thanks to his game and drug addicted wife.

I think you are totally wrong. What made you think you should have a seat in a German Government flight?
To contact the German Ambassador is a joke.
Your contact is the UK Govt.
So again with the wrong passport you have to queue until???
Good Luck.
I volunteer for a German organization that helps Germans in emergencies.
The German embassy is working with us, no matter what's happening.
Why would I, as a German, contact the UK government?
Where's the joke here?
I've received an answer to my questions from the German Ambassador a few hours ago.Germans have priority, but they do take anybody from an EU country on board of these Condor flights, and they'll expand them.
I was only trying to be helpful to the guys who were left stranded.
It's new to me that I've got the wrong passport.
Can you please elaborate on this one? -

Why is everyone wearing face masks anyway?? Face mask does <deleted> all. It’s not airborne. You catch it when an infected person touches and object and then you touch it within a few hours and proceed to touch your eyes, nose or mouth. You don’t breathe it in unless someone coughs in your face..but <deleted> anyway since it will be in your eyes. ????♂️
It's a face saving measure for fermented fish eating individuals.

Thanks, how's that work out for you, all good?
Wired straight from the battery i assume?
No matter, all you need is constant plus, or if you want it work when ignition is on, connect it to # 15.
I've also a faf lighter that you can use for a light, etc..that also has USB connectors.
But that must be directly connected to the battery with a seperate fuse.
