Do NOT self medicate with antibiotics.

At any 7-11 you can get C-A-RBON and electrolyte packets.

If it continues more than a couple of days more, or if you develop fever or are unable to keep liquids down then trip to the hospital is necessary. In most cases home treatment will suffice.

I'd reckon Immodium for the diarrhea, usually available at most drug stores.

Take two capsules and wait. Great medicine from Germany.

       Drink a lot of water.

Why all this talk of cloning? Why transfer all the old crud that slowed it down in the first place? Just clean install Windows 10 Pro. Put the old HDD into a caddy.

First, i wanted to use my Macrium backup, but then I've somehow made a mistake by using the 32 version of W 10 Pro.

The notebook is made for the 64 bit version and to change that I'll have to start from the scratch.

You are right, putting the old HD in a case would also be okay, but I'd prefer to have all date in the machine without connecting it with old technology.

The transfer rate would be very slow. If take the DVD drive out and put the old HD in, what kind of adapter do I need?

Am I right that I need a 2.5 SSD? Thanks for your time and consideration.

Make sure the notebook works fine with just the new drive.

To do that remove the old disk after you clone it and before you start it the first time with the new disk.

Otherwise the system might use the boot sector from the old disk and then start the OS on the new disk.

That was one of my concerns. I need all my files on drive D, so I'm trying to delete the drive C with the OS on it.

I've got all backed up with Macrium, so I might not even need to clone it as that can take forever.

Important is that the SSD fits into the space for the drive. I think it must be a 2.5 right?

The problem on Lazada where Zi want to buy it is that  a lot of stuff is missing. The closing part is an easy exercise for me.

Once I've booted the notebook with the new SSD drive and then insert my old one into the DVD drive, a certain adaptor is needed.

i might go to Advice and seek some Advice. Thanks a lot.

Every Thai I know has registered even if they are not affected.

Do you believe that married to a foreigner excluded them?

To be honest, I'd have thought the number would be higher!

As long as they don't have a job, or a very low income, why not?

Wife, son, parents in law registred. And once we're back in the village we'll spread the word.

Many villagers do not know what to do. Will take my notebook to help some of them.

In Germany they are preparing for the Coronavirus by stocking up with sausage and cheese.

    That's the Wurst Kase scenario.

How is that funny? Some of my relatives do all to make it as safe as possible in Germany.

My niece works as a doctor and they do all to help others.

Can we have some more information on this updated marriage certificate.  Did your immigration office insist upon this? What was written on the certifcate?  This is the first ive heard of this requirement.

    What do you mean?

If you're talking about the two months visa for visiting your wife, it's working.

You need the original marriage certificate and a copy of it.

      And your Thai wife.

Once this crisis is over, if they want to be seen as a normal and welcoming business-friendly country, they'll either introduce a 'digital nomad' visa of some sort or retain the status quo.

Besides, there are probably millions of holidaymakers who come here every year, who check work emails and do little tasks for work back home. There is no way of enforcing or cracking down on that, lest Thailand's tourist industry collapses completely as a result. No other country I know of cares either.

Personally, despite the confusing and sometimes xenophobic rhetoric of the current government, I don't think they envision cracking down or upsetting digital nomads, otherwise the country will lose out on billions of dollars in revenue and will be regarded as a tropical North Korea, a country best avoided for any purpose altogether.

"Status Quo"? Business friendly country for people who do not pay taxes and often stay on ED visas?

A Digital Nomad Visa/ Try to get that in the US, or somewhere in Europe, please.

I have always been good alone. Of course most of the issue is psychological. Many people wishing they could do something they were not doing before anyway. Just like taking toys away from children.

my cats are worried :clap2: because when i leave i usually bring some type of food back to the house.

The pattern of me arriving home with bags of stuff that they have learned eventually leads to cat food and the remains of BBQ chicken carcasses or other goodies has been broken. So perhaps they are suffering in their cat brains.

If by the time this is over if you don't have every possible thing organized like all your photos, music, all media, taxes, paper files, tools sorted, motorcycle washed, shirts sorted by color in the closet, you have wasted a great opportunity.

I am making a spread sheet for my next next trip to some where in Thailand. Everything but the departure dates.

on another note, many expats I have talked to via LINE are not following the orders to stay home and are walking on the beach, riding bikes, walking and shopping for nonessential items for home improvement. But I guess they are making good use of the time.

Hanging out on the internet reading about a "state of emergency" and then going outside and expecting to see the apocalypse and seeing that nothing has changed here in Hua Hin except for reduced traffic and a few closed bars shows you the power of news media to influence your thinking.

Be honest how many of you now are jumping out of bed like Christmas morning to see what new catastrophic virus event is being announced today?

by the way, this happen to me before.

Thanks. A lot of bla bla. As usual. I know healthier 70 year olds than some 45 year olds are.

Did anybody else get so many visits from cops and IO in a short period of time?

It' also called harassment when some cars pull up and plenty of them show up at your place and always do the same things.

I personally don't care what the neighbors think, but it can be really nasty in a little village.

They must all think that he'd committed a crime.
