My comment on the England performance against T and T - what a load of rubbish!!!!! I spent most of the game worrying about when T and T were finally going to get a goal...... and they looked far more likely to do most of the time than England did.......

A question for Chonabot............. as I predicted 2-0, and it was 2-0 after 90 minutes, that means that I get full points, doesnt it??? Your rules state at the end.........NOTE: All predictions are based on 90mins. Extra time, golden goals, penalties etc. do not count.

What do you say to that one??????

Just got back from watching the England game against T and T at the Brandenburg Gate........ and must say..............WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH!!!!!!! I read a few comments just now in related threads from one or two of you, who thought England´s performance was reasonable, hopeful and even good..............I´m no football expert .....but..........were we watching the same match????? That was an awful performance..... Crouch (...ouch!!!), Beckham moderate, Rooney....didn´t do much at all.....The Trinis put the fear of God into you with repeated counter attacks..... and never mind the missed opportunities on the English side...what about those of the Trinis??? I think I´ll go incognito to the next game...........

I´ve been reading that you lads in Thailand are having trouble watching the games on thai TV, because programmes on the Royal Family etc are being shown instead. My advice to you all is.............................. you should have taken a 4-week holiday in Europe!!!!!!!!

Well.....I´m just about to put on my England t-shirt and basecap and go on down to the Brandenburg Gate with my wife to watch the match on the huge screens they have set up there. Yesterday there were 250.000 at the German game................... there are a lot of Brits in Berlin at the moment...but I don´t expect there´ll be quite the same squeeze this evening..........I´m hoping for a 2-0 win to rocket me up the table............

Just a word of warning to everybody that - with it still standing at an unbelievable 0-0 with 82 minutes gone in the Germany-Poland game - I´ve submitted my new and improved revised predictions for the rest of the qualifying games. So sit back and watch me rocket up the league as of tomorrow..............

Just wanted to say a big word of thanks and appreciation to Chonabot for investing so much of your time in keeping us all up-to-date with the points table................. and I don´t care what everyone else is calling you behind your back (no...just a little joke...), you´re doing a great job (although it´s about time you learned to evaluate what I MEANT to predict and not be put off by what I actually wrote.............would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!).

Wooden spoons......knees-up at Jenny´s.......... it´s all very tempting....but on the other hand I think I´ll re-submit my score sheet for the next games... as of tomorrow. My "close-both-eyes- and-stick-a-pin-in-it" method doesn´t seem to be paying off................................. Can I do that, Chonabot????? Perhaps you´re being too harsh on the English, Germans and Dutch, Pyros...............so far the tournament has made good reading because of some unexpected results and quite a lot very interesting games. There has been virtually no hooliganism (so far......) in Germany. Perhaps it will rub off onto those following the games in other countries and you may yet be able to enjoy drink in the company of those fans you cursed...............on the other hand...........there are still over 3 weeks of the tournament to go.......

If Italy doesn´t win 3-0 it´ll be the rear-light position for me...........

As I live in Berlin (30 years now - but am nevertheless still British through and through.....), I´m a lot closer than probably any other of you to what is happening over here during the World Cup........... it hasn´t helped my with my predictions, mind you... haven´t got much more than zero myself...........BUT I am proud to report, that the English fans are behaving themselves superbly here........swilling down the beer and jovially entertaining the crowds...much to the delight of the locals. And even the kilt-wearing Scots - despite their refusal to support the English team and opt for Trinidad and Tobago instead (as half the team plays in Scottish divisions) - are behaving themselves here...!!!

Count me in too.............. as I´m a Brit, having lived in Berlin, Germany, now for the last 29 years, I can´t not take part!!!!! But I definitely WON`T be putting my money on Germany......................
