i,for one am not fat & old.my girlfreind is 11 years younger than i,but she could have picked a richer one.

jeez,55k,call me a peasant,but im only paying 2000 baht per month,for a very large room with bathroom,in the center of a busy town.

good to hear about the lake fishing in bangkok.something different than the usual.

she probably though the young girls were with the fat old guys for one reason.

i went to a hospital in the north for a hiv test ,mainly because i have a new girlfreind,& the thought of passing anything like that on worried me.

anyway,the negative test results came back in 24hrs.

is this normal,such quick results,from a hospital?

should i get another test,as somebody posted,to be sure?

sometimes it's conforting to know that you can find somewhere in thailand where you can reside, without having to hear the same sh@te,you feel youve heard 1 million times before.

& yes,i know i'm a miserable git.

the ems service is pretty good in thailand,& you can track youre mail on the internet with it,& veiw the electronic signature of the receiver.

the only problem i have is that for small objects its quite expensive.

the small packet air service (up to 2kg,& 2 weeks) is a way round this.

i'm also looking for cheper door to door shipping.obviously fed ex do the same 10&25 kilo service.

think its round 3500 bht for the 10kg box,on their website.

you can get cheap air freight shipping as far as to the airport of your home country,quite cheaply.

ive had a quote for 140 baht per kilo to heathrow airport,not door to door.

my problem the moment is that my packages are large(long) ,but not to heavy,so they go by the volumetric weight.expensive.

i used to go & watch arsenal when liam brady,malcom mcdonald etc were playing & it seemed like there was more team spirit (& probably a lot of other spirits) in those days.it just seemed that football was a bit more wholesome in those days.

today it seems to feel a bit too much about money.

maybe its just that today,the press are just looking for the dirt & the story better than in those days.

mmmmmm,strong buisness acumen,that probably rules me out.but i can work on the healthy bit,& bullshit my way out of the morally decent bit.

ive seen a few road accidents here & i am a nervous motorcycle passenger in thailand.i am perfectly happy riding a bike by myself.

it always seems to me that thais seem a bit too laid back sometimes to be on the roads.

also they generally,when consuming whiskey dont have the one drink ,a generalisation maybe,but one that has a ring of truth.

mix the two together on national holidays.not a good combination.

having spent 9 months in new zealand,i agree that it is a great country,indeed a nation to be proud of.

the only thing it seems to lack is a supply of good looking women.

never seen so many ugly ducklings.

maybe they need to ship some cuties over from the east coast of australia.

i have nothing against americans,where would we be without their movies,writers etc.

however in my experience it has been best to avoid american gap year students when ive been on my travels.

when i hear them talk i feel like i want to dig myself a bunker & hide in it with a machine gun.

i just received my new passport (british) from the british embassy in bangkok, about 11 days ago.

i printed the c1 form off of the website,filled it in,with the address of where i wanted it posted back to (the north),2 photos,the fee= 91 qwid (by postal order,including the 50 baht ems postage fee,on top,of the pp fee),my old passport,sent to the brit embassy.

they have new electronic british passports now,so the processing time takes a bit longer (at the moment).

i got mine back after 15 days,on the day my 30 day visa expired (a lucky boy).

i phoned the embassy & they told me my passport was ready for collection,but i just got them to post it to me & it arrived the following day in the afternoon.

they advice you to give a months time.

i was given my very last 30 day stamps in my old passport,with 3/4 of a page left on the last page.

as far as getting the new 30 day visa in my new passport i just took my old & new passports to the border post,& the thai immigration guy got a large stamp out & stamped my first page,which took up 3/4 of a page & then he filled in my details,& then he gave me the regular 30 day stamps.no questions asked,so i presume its standard practice.

ps maybe photo copy the relevant side of your pp before sending it in.

i too am not a good sleeper.i used to be a real insomniac,but am now sleeping,but i am not a real deep sleeper.i think my cause started when i was an exersise fanatic & my body got used to being over tired,so drugs wouldnt really help me.

i think that has a lot to do with it,what your mind & body are used too,as far as sleep amounts go.

if you take sleeping pills or have a good few drinks,they say that the sleep quality is not so good as normal,& experts equate it as getting a kip in the back of a horse drawn cart on a bumpy track.so you really need to get an early one if sleeping with pills.

i sometimes quite like being overtired,a bit like being slightly drunk.

maybe,more like, which do you prefer,

number one on my list is obviously the womens intelligence.

i agree about the diving,or players making the most of nudges, getting on peoples tits.

if a brazilian player goes down to easily,shall we say,& it leads to a penalty/sending off,against a lesser team it can kill the game,& the veiwer feels a little cheated.

maybe a rapid type of video ref is the awnser.if you see the incident in slow motion you can easily tell if the player deserves an oscar or not.

it will be interesting to see how england perform against a good side like portugal.im hoping their game will open up bit & well see some fireworks.it seems like the last few games were strange to the england team as they were the favourites & had to break down teams,who got alot of men behind the ball.
