  1. i thought england looked vulnerable on corners & crosses against sweden.it doesnt seem like they have the tall dominant defender who can stick his head on the ball, like tony adams used to.

maybe cambell coming back will help, but like owen he seems injury prone at the moment.

it seems john terry is more naturally vocal on the pitch, than beckham,& organises everybody.

  2. i think the idea of everybody owning a gun is a little worrying to say the least, considering that most people are slightly insane, have predjudices, hang ups, personal problems etc.

throw in mind changing drugs,& alcohol & you have a bit of a coctail.

you could say that youre not implying everybody should have one,but really by buying & owning one you are making a statement.

i often wonder whether people who say they want a gun, really want one because of some unconscious fantasy to be able to use it,rather than for protection, but then i suppose our culture teaches us this, the movies etc.

its a complicated issue & i agree that maybe its a good idea to have one if youve fallen out with the wrong kind of people, but if youre continually getting the wrong kind of reaction from people then maybe the problem is a little closer to home.

  3. yes,im not sure i want to name & slag off a resort resort, just because its famous for its wild drug taking.

as you know drug busts are common on that island.

the people who ran the place seemed nice enough, as were the people staying there, who mainly went there for one reason.

i was cycling up through thailand at the time,so i was in a different frame of mind (you could say a boring fart) ,so its just my opinion.(& for some a <deleted> one at that)

  4. i spent a bit of time on ko phan ngan a few years ago & i would say that i think it is important to pick the right resort where you stay.

there are certain resorts where the flow of substances is pretty constant & basically the people are constantly off theyre tits.

im in no way looking down on it ,but if you just want to chill out with the odd beer with the girlfreind then it can get a little weird.

  5. hello, you dont need any myanmar visas for the day trip into burma.you just get your entry stamp at the burmese immigration, have youre little day in the border town (obviously you cant travel deep into burma)& then just come back well before 5.30pm to get the exit stamp then walk across to the thai post for your thai entry stamp.& youre 30 days.

the burmese immigration posts take 500baht.& yes it is right that you get small entry & exit stamps.

the thai immigration now seem to be asking for youre phone numbers & address in thailand, but this is just a procedure (terrorism etc)& not a personal thing.

  6. oooerr, surely greed, corruption, & theivery isnt exclusive to thailand.more of a worldwide human nature thing,& always will be, me thinks.

i thought the bush family had been doing it for years (though probably not on theyre own doorstep).

i must admit i doubt i would buy property here, but for what im paying daily for my decent apartment i wouldnt be able to buy a bag of chips back home.

why do people want to buy property so much in thailand?

  7. whatever your opinion on beckham,i think he should be in the team for crosses & free kicks alone.

how many times has he created a goal for england with a cross or whipped in a long ball?

the problem with owen is that he needs the service,& when england arnt performing,he probably is not going to change a game like rooney can.

  8. i think its all very well owning a gun,but i think in thailand they dont really like face to face confrontation.

maybe if you upset the wrong people you are more likely to get shot or stabbed in the back.

i agree that the're are some real psycho's around, the type that need to be manipulating & hurting people just to feel alive.

  9. those 2 prong, electrical zappers look quite fun.

theyre about the size of a mobile phone.ive heard theyre quite cheap.

dangerous enough, but not enough for the victim to be seriously hurt,or you facing trial or jailed.

i keep dreaming of a motorcycle trip, heading knowhere,& id consider one.

  10. yes, those little red bastards infested my bathroom towl once,& i only found out after drying myself.

i had ants in parts, where you really dont want them.

i got my revenge by spraying that anti bug stuff, all around the likely entry spots.

  11. overated=bon jovi

has theyre music or hairstyles changed that much over the years?

    underated=the smiths

(eek!, im bracing myself for the response),good old morrisey!

you may laugh, but i just think johnny marr was/is, a bit of a break from the norm,& his guitar playing is distinctive.

"this charrrrming man",ahhhh i remember it well.

yes,the black crowes, good stuff,a sort of an up to date rolling stones.

  12. hello, ive been doing the 30 day visa run for years.the cheapest place to renew your 30 day visa is burma.either ranong, mae sot or mae sai.

    all are 500 baht.

in ranong you have to get a scheduled boat across, from a pier, just down from the thai immigration office.

in mae sot you can get a 10 baht sawntaew from the town center to the thai immigration post & then its a walk over the freindship bridge to burma.where you pay 500 baht for the 2 stamps (entry & exit) & also 5 baht for a photo copy of your passport.no photos are needed, & you can either spend the day in mywaddi or come straight back to the thai immigration for your thai entry stamp.

mae sai /tachilek is the same, you can spend a day in tachilek.

if your not interested in a 30 day visa, then the above could be of no use whatsoever, other than it gave me something to do.

  13. i spose it always sounds easier when its not actually your own problem, but my advice is go in there & keep questioning him until he gives you a reason to why he still has your bike, until HE HAS to admit that either,he doesnt know how to fix it or hes a rascal.& dont leave until you get an explanation,& not just the famous blank look.

if it looks like that he is indeed a bit dodgy, then maybe you can move onto more serious measures,& warn him about the police.

if that doesnt work, them maybe as suggested before,

run in there starsky & hutch style with the spare keys,& as your leaving with the bike pull a wheelie with one hand ,& look back & give him the finger, with the other.

  14. hello,i stayed in ko lanta for awile maybe 2 years ago so i dont have any upto date info.

i remember staying for a week at the beach at the very south western tip of ko lanta,as far as the road went.i stayed in a very basic beach hut (cheap cheap) down by the sea,but they had fairly upmarket accomodation down there aswell.lovely beach ,& most of the accomodation was sort of overlooking the sea,on a steep hill.they had a beach bar,& accomodation there called, the last resort.

really chilled out place for a drink, but maybe its all built up now.

when you get off the boat at ko lanta,it looks a bit grim & nothing special, but you feel better when you walk to the beach on that west coast.

  15. curios 2,i am very sorry if i caused offence,by implying that it was a windup.

my girlfreind actually knows a few lady/men,katoys & they're lovely girls.

if i was gay i'd ask one out myself.

i'll have a chat with her tonight.im sure she will be able to drag them in the internet cafe & you'll be able to get to know them better.

who knows we may get you married off yet!
