  1. postie, from what i understood of it,i am with you sir!

    ,& in awnser to your questions;

1.carry on being a dosser,& not get a proper job.

    2. yes,very.

3.when i left my mind numbing, soul destroying job in the uk,& saw a little brown bum first thing in the morning.

ps .have you ever tried that drug yaa baa.

  2. i saw the film in bangkok awile back.i was looking forward to seing it as im a big tom hanks fan,

but it was dissapointment for me.i found it hard to be interested in the religous mumbo jumbo.it was like a cheap, made for tv movie.

it didnt really get the imagination going like a book maybe could.

im not sure tom hanks fitted the role of a nerdy proffessor.ian mcellan livened it up a bit.

im not particulary a tom cruise fan ,but mi3 was a good movie.

  3. i think the problem is that its difficult for people to think about a country, outside of your own experiences.

everybody developes predjudices.if your living in a greedy money pit for a length of time,it may affect your judgement.

even the words "why is thailand so backward",sound a bit bitter.

why not "why isnt thailand progressing more, from the unbelievable growth of the last ten years" (although it is a bit long)

  4. erg,sounds interesting.

has anybody read slithering south by steve van beek.true acount of a guy who builds himself a small wooden kayak & travels from very northern thailand to the mouth of the chao prae,or the sea.

i am a complete slob now,but cycle toured parts of se asia a few years back.

  5. yes,i have some karen/burmese freinds earning 90 baht a day who have hardly been out of karen state in burma, which obviously has its troubles, & theyre the nicest people you could meet.

if you stuck them in bangkok for ten years i'd worry that it would corrupt them.

theyre happier than most & understand the world & people better than most.

sure you could take all the latest technology into there village & i wouldnt argue that it may do them good.

whether theyd be better off spiritually though,i doubt it.

maybe the thread should be changed to,why is thailand getting so fckd up.

  6. when you say 4 bottles a day.is that big or small bottles?its just it makes me feel better when i hear people drinking more than i.

i heard that the thai breweries just put fameldahyde inside the bottle rim before they cap it so germs dont enter.maybe thats another wives tale.

  7. if people want to believe i have a problem with lady men,or want other people to believe i have a problem with them, thats up to them.

obviously it must take alot of guts to change your gender or personality & i understand that.

thats partly why i am interested in the subject, & what makes them tick.

heres to all the lady men!

  8. yes,im kinda with dumpster.

im in no way looking down on lady men,im just curious about them.

i think everybody is a lttle crazy or messed up in some way, thats what you have to come to terms with or try to deal with.

its just i dont think a lady man changes or wants to change his sexuality for sexual reasons.

i dont think a man wants to cut his todger off for sexual reasons.i think it goes a lttle deeper than that.(or not so deep if youve had the op)

im not gay so maybe you can enlighten me.

  9. mmmm round bottoms,i can picture them now.

not sure whether you give a ######,but i think woks are generally healthier, due to less cooking oil being needed.

  10. number 1= spice girls movie.

    too difficult to choose,but movies im thinking of at the moment;

    shawshank redemption

cool hand luke ,"im a shaking the tree boss"

    sideways

    deer hunter

most stuff by the coen brothers,

& not stuff that you feel like youve seen before ,where the bad guy dies at the end.

  11. as one great french philosopher said;

    "dethroned by a fart"

seriously, maybe your "serious" thread is a good idea, its just that it sounds like you want it to be too controlled.

if you wont let people use one liners or smileys, whats next,i wont be able to use the word fart.it could be a slippery, downward slope.

communism sounds like a good idea in theory, but not you get a few selfish, power minded people at the helm.

  12. hello,i have a family member whos interested in importing a vigo into the uk.

i would rather handle the shipping myself as i have been quoted already.

the problem is to get the de-registration needed for exporting a vehicle.

ive phoned toyota thailand,& japan, but toyota japan just told me that that they cannot provide these papers as the spec is different than the uk.

it just seems odd, if you buy a vigo here & own it for say 2 months & then decide to go back to the uk.are they saying that you cant take it home with you.

how do these export companies export vigos?

  13. obviously its a hard question to awnser as it depends on your age, what you are looking for, what frame of mind your in when you go.

also i would say that the beaches & sea fronts could have changed somewhat, since i last went on the west cost of phuket ,due to the tsunami.

i stayed in a first floor new air con apartment at kamala beach for 6000baht a month when the tsunami hit,& it changed the whole landscape of the beach.

kamala was/is very nice for me.not too touristy & not to far away from patong beach if you want to observe (or take part) in a bit of hedonism.its aqlso not far from surin beach & the nicer beaches up north.

kamala has quite a large muslim population,so its maybe not the place to go if your girlfreind wants to get her boobs out on the beach.there are also a few cheap local food places in kamala.

patong beach is a package holiday destination,& as much as i quite like the place for a few beers,i personally would not want to spend too long on that beach.its not a beach to chill out on.

there re more scenic beaches than kamala, like rawai etc,but the problem is transport.tuk tuks in phuket are probably the most expensive in thailand,so unless your in a group it can get pricey.

there a large songtaews that run around phuket during the day.

but if your just looking for a quiet scenic beach/area then maybe keep away from patong as tourism has seemed to spread out along the coast from there.

  14. i think most thai men generally dont have just the one when drinking.most of the whiskey bottle is usually drained.

i think its a good idea to keep off the roads of a night in thailand when theres national celebrations going on.especially if your on a motorbike.

new years eve i saw two guys on a stationary motorbike parked in a wide road get deliberately ploughed through by a 4x4.the 2 guys were obviously not in good shape afterwards.
