  1. Um hmm, worked for me without giving me a Heart attack or Myocarditits, or a stroke, or even an embolism.
  2. I had a Chinese one last year. It worked great until one day it was totally dead. Less than 12 months of use (more like 6). I looked for something that would hold up better, the Japanese ones are excellent, but spendy. I ended up getting a Hatari on Lazada. I like Hatari because it is a Thai company and you don't have to pay extra for importing it from elsewhere. We have Hatari fans in the house and they have worked very well. This one is silent, has a hepa filter, and is robust enough to clean the air in our 400 sq ft space quickly. definitely appreciate having it now that the air is nasty and unhealthy.
  3. Thought you folks might be interested in this report.
  4. Well, take it how you wish, but when the President of the USA says that the NS2 will be taken out, that might lend some credibility to the reporters story. How does the story being from a later point in the writers career take away from the credibility? Seriously, I would think that it only lend more credibility, not take it away.
  5. He was awarded The Pulitzer. His reporting also disclosed the atrocities of the My Lai Massacre and of Abu Ghraib prison.
  6. Here is a detailed rundown of how the CIA and the US Navy did the pipeline job with the help of Norway. https://seymourhersh.substack.com/p/how-america-took-out-the-nord-stream
  7. We have a bunch of seafood processing plants here in Samut Sakhon. Along side of the plants, Mountains of styrofoam containers accumulate throughout the month (s) only to be burned spewing black clouds of toxic smoke into the air. ONCE IN A WHILE, YOU WILL SEE A BLACK PLUMe erupt from the horizon, and it is usually the styrofoam piles being torched.
  8. the sample area of the study doesn't make any difference. What matters is the particulate numbers per unit surveyed.
  9. It isn't just farmers burning their fields. It is a multitude of cook over fire type food stands, and open burning of garbage. When we came through Nan to Bkk the other day, people were burning the median of the hiway and the edges to get rid of brush and debris. Watch one of those roadside food stands as they fire up chicken on a stick and see the pall of smoke as it wafts into the air. Now multiply that by the tens of thousands of people cooking that way each day.
  10. Hello all I will be in the province of Nan for a few days on my motorbike and would be interested in exploratory excursions to interesting and photogenic types of places in the area. I’ve got my cell phone GPS to guide me but I’m just not sureWhere to begin. Any hints or ideas you can give me I’ll plug them into my GPSAnd we can go check them out. Thanks for your help
  11. OK, got it, but what if there are two of you, and you are zipped up together in a sleeping bag (but you are each holding your breath?)
  12. You remind me of Yul Brenner in the King and I when he emphatically states "Siam is the biggest country in the world"
  13. Here is why we put the country after berlin, london and paris.
  14. The rights are not from the Constitution. They are from God.
  15. Why not? The ozone here degrades many plastics, not sure if your ties are plastic or nylon... The white ones are often nylon, which holds up better than the plastic ones.
  16. Volcanos will spew so much ash into the stratosphere that the global temperature will drop 2*. Volcanoes will spew so much greenhouse gas that the temperatures will rise by 2*. A cure for caner will be found by making a distillate of cheese whiz. It will be pulled by the FDA as Cheese whiz has too much salt and preservatives to be consumed by most people...
  17. I've got a surfski boat... It is like a sea kayak and I snapped off the plastic rudder the other day. I have a spare rudder that I put on there. I tried fixing the old rudder with a 2 part epoxy, and with super glue and baking soda as well... It is not working out. I'd like to take the spare rudder to somebody with a 3d printer and have them make a new one for me. Is there anybody in the BKK area that might be able to do that? Please advise.
  18. Wissanu Krea-ngam said that what they plan to do is regulate it like alcohol. Sales will only be allowed from 11:30- 2:30 and from 5pm- midnight.
  19. Kind of takes the fun out of it (getting thrown in prison.)
  20. If it is shooting 500fps out of the box, then you should be able to diesel it and get another 30% from it. If you tried to convert an air rifle to fire conventional ammunition, you would likely find yourself at the receiving end of a blast. like this
  21. well hell. Maybe I'll just get an archery set. I know I could diesel the pellets in a pellet gun and get way more power out of it, But I can't even find a decent base model to do that with.
  22. It looks like that KJ Works Mk1 is a CO2 powered airsoft gun that shoots 6mm plastic bbs, I am trying to find a cocking lever or pcp rifle in .177 caliber that shoots steel bbs or pellets.
  23. Looks like that one shoots the airsoft bbs, I want one that shoots steel ones.
