  1. Hi,

I will be returning to europe soon and as i am shipping some things home ill have just a few clothes in my bag going back, now i know that your only allowed 200 cigs when leaving at the duty free, what about if i buy 6-7 cartons in 7/11 and put them in my bag before i go to the airport, will i still have a problem if they see them even though the duty is paid,

    Thanxs

Sorry, but this question should NOT be here. Smuggling is smuggling, cause you don't want to pay tax in Europe..try it and you'll see..........

The OP is not trying to smuggle anything. He only enquired whether there is a difference in definition in ciggies bought at 7-11 versus Duty Free. One might assume (wrongly) that if they weren't bought at Duty Free that it may be ok to carry them to another country.

  2. Dealers do not take trade-ins but call used car dealers to bid on your car. I usually try to avoid this step cos it's not good for my blood pressure. Best to sell your car yourself. Taladrod.com is a good site to place an ad. It's in Thai but works great.

  3. Incorrect info. We just borrowed money from SCB to buy 2 condos. Interest is much less the that.

    Thanks bangsaenguy,

The info from the family is correct because I have a handful of statements showing 15% plus that pdf on the SCB site has 15%.

OK It's hard to understand the facts but they have not tried to refinance at all - wife meant when the first go the loan SCB were the only one that would give them a loan.

Apparently they have asked the bank where they pay the loan about the high interest rate and they said to go to the branch where they got the loan. Guess what - they haven't bothered for 7 months.

I am guessing that their initial rate of 5-6% had finished 7 months ago and the loan reverted to this "Default" 15%. I bet if they bother to go to the place they got the loan then they might be able to get a lower rate.

    Anyway, see how we go.

    Cheers YBB

I'm reluctant to quote the rate my wife got cos I'm not positive but it was considerably less than 5%.

  4. I have my Zuki in Bangkok getting some work done to it and was thinking of having the box sprayed since there isn't a plastic liner available for it and I would like to keep the box red instead of black. Anyone have this done in Bangkok? Place? Quality of job? Price?

I've never seen the spray-on liner in Thailand. I would much prefer it over the bed liners. The spray-on liners in the US do not allow your cargo to slide around like the liners

  5. There is a fairly new home store on Suk. in Pattaya. Benthavorn or similar. I was in last week and the clerk showed me a catalog that had an Electrolux the could be ordered that opened right to left. It had a bottom freezer

Yeah, right. He was holding the catalogue upside-down. Anything for a sale. :o

You seem to think you know more about it than me. How about making a small wager and meet me there tomorrow? Put your money where your big mouth is.
