  1. There goes the Suarez high!

Liverpool FC have confirmed that Fernando Torres has on Friday evening submitted a transfer request. The request has been rejected.

The Club said in a statement: "Fernando Torres tonight submitted a written transfer request, which has been rejected by Liverpool.

"Fernando is under a long-term contract and the Club expects him to honour the commitment he made to Liverpool FC and its supporters when he signed the agreement."

Its been rejected but im still gutted about this.

  2. Hi Mate

Thanks, yeah driving down from korat. We fancy something different this year as we normally drive down to one of the islands. The misses wanted to go to Chaing mai but I don't fancy that drive much, way to far. I had a look online and there seems to be plenty for the kids to do for the week. Monkey farm, tiger zoo, water park etc.

Thanks for the link to the hotel, ill take a look.

  4. Thanks for the replys. I was definitely switching it completely off, When you click the off button on the side it comes up with a few options, stand bye, flight mode, off etc. I took it back to the Samsung shop and explained the problem the best I could. They told me they would keep it for a night and see if they could see the problem. The wife got a call the next day saying that they have sent it to get check out and I should have it back by Saturday. As I had only had the thing for a few days I would have thought they could of just replaced it for me and sent the other one back to get repaired but no. Ill wait and see what they say on Saturday, if there's a problem with it then surely they have to replace it, if not ill ask for a refund.

On another note Ive just had a phone call from DHL and my Ipad is 5 minutes away from being delivered :)

  5. I brought a Galaxy Tab last week and I think I've got a problem but I cant find any other info on the web about it. Basically every time I switch it off, if I come back to it a day or later the battery is drained flat. I then have to spend 2 hrs charging the thing to be able to use it again. I am fully turning it off and I'm not using any stand-bye or sleep mode.

I first noticed the problem because I gave it to my wife to set it up for me as I was busy. She already has the Galaxy phone so I got her to change the settings back to English and a few other things. The next day I went to switch it on and the battery was completely flat. So i put in the charger and the empty battery screen comes up and then starts to charge. I accused the misses of not turning it off properly, which didnt go down to well.

I charged it and had a little play with it. I then switched it off correctly and then I came to turn it back on today, 2 days later and the bloody thing is flat again. Each time the battery has been fully charged, the tab has been on for about an hour or so and then completed switched off for about 2 days. Anyone else got one of these and had the same problem?

    Thanks

  6. Exclusive: Reds sign Joe Cole (just came up on the official site moments ago)

Liverpool FC are delighted to confirm the signing of Joe Cole on a four-year deal.

The England midfielder has agreed personal terms with the Reds and will undergo a medical in the next 48 hours.

Cole becomes the club's second signing of the summer after Milan Jovanovic.

The 28-year-old arrives from Chelsea, where he won three league titles and two FA Cups during a seven-year spell.

He is a product of the West Ham youth system and has represented his country 56 times, scoring 10 goals in the process.

  8. I guess well find out on the 8th about the home kit. These are just mock ups with the new sponsor but if you click on the link I added below the original post you will see photos with the Liverpool logos but no sponsor yet. Although there not official adidas designs I think they could be genuine.

Your right about it looking like a Bayern shirt but we also used that diamond pattern on one of our grey shirts a fair few years back. I really like the away one as well but I'm not to keen on the 3rd strip. Way to similar to the current black 3rd strip.

The home shirt can be pre ordered now but they wont show us what it looks like until the 8 April, with probably a few sneak peaks of certain areas of the shirts leading up to the unveiling like they normally do. The release date for the shirt is the 6th May.

Great game last night, so nice to see us playing like that again.

  9. Has anyone found a picture of the new Liverpool home kit yet? There advertising the new home shirt on there site but wont be showing it until 8th of April. Normally by now there's a leaked image of the kit somewhere on he web or in the Liverpool forums but i cant find anything. I buy my two boys every Liverpool Kit that comes out and because there both in baby and junior sizes ill need to pre-order as the smaller kits normally sell out right away. Wanna take a sneak peak before I pre-order and see what it looks like with the new sponsor.

  10. I had it one time at the shopping Mall, I had a nagging wife and two screaming kids with me in the car. When I called the guard over to get it moved he just looked at me like there as nothing he could do about it and we would just have to wait. I then got my wife to tell him that if It wasn't moved in 5 minutes I would be smashing the window and moving it myself. 2 minutes later he ran back with a Car jack and towed it out of the way. I'm sure all of the shopping malls have a jack there just to lazy to use them. I know getting angry is a no go in Thailand but its amazing how quickly things get done when you do.

  11. Reason for leaving? No idea of the real reasons but hes probably just home sick or hes found another job, not sure really.

I wasn't planning on paying him anything until his 30days notice are up but ill probably keep a % to make sure he returns after 1st of march as mentioned, thanks.

Hes not great loss to the company, recent grad, over payed, late every morning, missed deadlines all the time, bad attitude BUT I dont have the time to get anyone else in and train them for this project if he leaves before 30 days.

  12. Ive just received an email from a member of my staff wishing to terminate there employment as of the end of this month. This literally gives me just over a weeks notice. As the staff member is only one week into a 4 week project, do I have the power to demand 4 weeks notice?

So basically Im trying to find out the law for the amount of notice and employee needs to give the employer if he wants to resign?

    Thanks

  13. I'm a little bit confused about the company VAT system in Thailand. I understand it is set at 7% of any income but to be eligible to pay the 7% the company has to be making over X amount per year, I believe 1.7millionBaht.

All of my clients are abroad and I only bring in enough money to the company to pay for salaries, bills and office rent in Thailand. I did this deliberately so that I could keep under the VAT bracket and not pay any VAT on the company income.

I found out today from my accountant that it doesn't matter how little money the company brings in or if its under the tax bracket because the company has been registered for VAT. I understand that to get my work permit the company HAD to be registered for VAT but I don't understand why I am having to pay it if I am under the minimum bracket.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

  14. HL, Im guessing you only need 2 Thai shareholders like I have. Give a friend or family member 1% and the rest to your wife like I did.

Problem is that the rules and regulations seem to change all of the time.

No problem, I already have my answer

    40k based on marriage

    50k based on business

  15. So I guess it depends If I want to keep my type non O or change it to a business type B visa.

HL Im not 100% sure of the percentages but I know I only have two Thai shareholders and then myself. I gave my sister Inlaw 1%, so maybe I have 49% my wife has 50% and her sister 1%.

  16. Im getting conflicting reports on whether I need to set my salary at 40 or 50K for when I come to renewing my visa.

    Non Immigration Type O Visa

    2 year work permit

    Married with two Children

    British Nationality

Its my company, well wife owns the 51% thai shares.

Does anyone know what it should be?

    Thanks

    Jed
