  1. I'm having some serious problems with Kasikorns K-Biznet online banking. I have started a company in Thailand so I thought it was best to get a business account opened in the company name. It was 10x harder than opening my personal account and the online system is also 10x harder to use. You have your admin account, your signature account, my wife and then my account. All I want to do is transfer some money to pay some bills. It seems this can only be done in the signatures account which is fine as I have the details. When I go to transfer the funds I select my account and then the transfer to account does not give me any options. I don't have any options to enter any account details so I cannot transfer any funds. When I do the same thing with my personal cyber banking account, I get the option to add account details but on the biznet service there is no option. Not only that, with a business account you cannot have a bank card to transfer funds and anytime I want to take money out my wife has to go to the bank with a company stamp and transfer the funds as she is the main shareholder. I've have funds transferred from abroad so I know there is money in there from getting the bank checked, the problem is I cant get any money out either online or with a card.

I've tried calling, emailing and using their online chat facility and still no answer from them. So I guess my question is, Does anyone have the same problem with the online banking and how did you solve it?

Is there really any need for the business account when I could of just opened up another personal account and used that which much less hassle? If I open up another personal account I can get a card, get money out myself, use the online facilities that actually work. I just don't see any benefit to having an Business account over a personal account unless it's the law?

All of my clients are abroad, so I will never have any funds transferred over from a Thai company. All I need the account for is to pay my staff and bills which I currently can't do.

    Any help appreciated

  2. Ok, its definately a firewall problem

All of the 5 machines in the staffs office can access the network but for some reason i can not.

We all have AVG anti-virus plus firewall installed yet the only was I can access the network is if I switch off my AVG fire wall.

The other computers are fine so i dont understand it. Does anyone know how I can adjust my AVG settings to allow me to view my network connections?

    Thanks guys

  3. Yeah Im sure ive followed it correctly, the file logo changes so that it has the hand on it which means its now a sharing folder.

The problem I have is that I cant seem to find it on the other computers.

Maybe there is something wrong with my network

  4. Ive got a small network set up in my office. I have one main computer and a laptopn in my office and then another 5 computers all in another office. Its driving me nuts using a portable harddrive to share folders etc so Im trying to set up network sharing. All of the computers have windows XP 64 bit OP's and Ive been following the instructions from the following website.

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/n...tain/share.mspx

So Ive set up a folder to be shared on my main computer but when I go to one of the other computers and follow the instructions the files dont seem to be there? Do we have any experts here who can help me correct my mistake?

    Thanks

  5. I moved to Korat at 24, 3 years ago. The misses is just over a year older than me and we have 2 kids.

Plenty of younger people in Korat, mainly teachers but there are a few of us who are here with wives and kids.

  6. Anyone seens these for sale anywhere in Bangkok?

Ive checked every computer shop in Korat and they didnt even know what they were.

Just want to make sure I cant get them in Thailand before I get them imported from abroad

    Thanks

  7. Has anyone seen any PC security locks for sale in Thailand. Ive been looking for them everywhere but I can only find the laptop style. The type im looking for connects your monitors and cpu together via a cable and then to a desk or wall. So basically they are all connected and if someone wants away with the computer they have to take the lot.

Im looking for something like these examples but any other design that does the job would be great.

  8. Do you really think we have adequate cover for both fullback spots if Dossena and Arbeloa go?

    RB

Glen Johnson - Great first choice

Jamie Carragher - Can do a job there but im sure would prefer the centerback spot

Philip Degen - Injury prone, hopefully stays injury free this season and shows us what he can do

Stephen Darby - Up and coming youngster, should be around the first team this season

    LB

Fabio Aurelio - Good player but gets injured alot

Emiliano Insua - Could be his season so shine

We will look a little weak at leftback, do you think Rafa will get someone else in at this position and will we be able to replace the players with there fees. I still think we could do with another at right back aswell as Carragher would prefere to play at the center and if Degen picks up another injury. However id be happy to see Darby get some chances but do you guys think hes ready to play backup to Johnson?

  9. Just a quick question:

Does the cinema in The Mall in Korat show English films in the original English soundtrack, or in dubbed Thai? Do the Thai films have English subtitles? I'd like to go to see Harry Potter and Dear Galileo next week, but my Thai isn't good enough yet to to listen in Thai. If not, where's the closest cinema, Kong Kaen, or will I have to go to Bangkok?

    Cheers

99% of the foreign films are shown in Thai with no subtitles. The Thai films are shown in Thai but normally have English subtitles. About 2 or 3 times per year the cinema will show a movie in the English language. I beileve they are showing the Harry Potter film in English at the moment but you would need to check there website or look at the listings at the mall.

  10. The big transfer news early on Friday morning is that Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery could be on his way to Liverpool. Bookmakers have slashed the odds on Ribery heading to Anfield, with the France international previously having said he would either join Real Madrid or stay at Bayern.

    (SkySports.Com Fridays Transfer Clockwatch)

This could get interesting. I just cant see it though, Munich have been quoting figures of 50, 60 million!

  11. I very rarely wai myself and when im wai'd at I usually just give a smile and a little nod of the head. I dont think that Thais really expect us to Wai back and there certainly not offended if we dont. However if you are rude and ignore them or just turn your head away I think they would be offended.

Regarding children, I have a 3 year old and whilst in Thailand and since he started nursery he will Wai. Its what there taught from a very early age and its just a greating. It can get abit annoying at times especially at school. From getting out of the car in the school carpark to getting to his class and sitting in his seat, he has to wai between 5 and 7 people. Each time he has to wai, he has to put his school bag down and give me his drink or toys.

When were in England there is no waiing just shaking hands and hi 5's.

  12. I say fair play to him. Lets face it, the biggest mistake he ever made was to run down his contract and leave Liverpool like he did. He spent one season warming the bench at Madrid, although he did have a quite good scoring record, just never got the playing time. He then had the chance to come back to Liverpool on loan as Liverpool were unwilling to pay anymore than the 8 million they sold him for. In came Newcastle with a 17million pound bid and a contract of 110k per week. There was no way Liverpool were going to match that fee or the wages. So that was the second time he let Rafa down.

There was no way he was going to sign him this summer. Hes never been the same player he was for liverpool and spent his 4 years at newcastle pretty much in the treatment room. However in his first season he did still look pretty sharp, the last couple of seasons he hasnt looked that great when fit. Hes then faced with the dilema of signing for a team such as Hull or Stoke and then out of nowhere Man U come along and offer him a 2 year contract.

Personally and even as a Liverpool fan I say good luck to him, I think hes suffered enough. Whilst he left Liverpool to achieve greater things, his career has crumbled whilst Liverpool have gone on to be a much greater team and with a Champions league trophy and an FA cup to the clubs name since he left. Really he got what he deserved. I wish him good luck in the future and Im pretty sure hel_l finally get the trophys he so badly desired at a club like United.

So what are the United fans point of view on this signing, especially after losing Ronaldo and Tevez. Rooney, Berbatov and Owen aint so bad but would you also like a 4th striker with a high price tag? Owens always going to be 3rd or 4th choice at United but with his injury record maybe thats a good thing as he wont get burnt out and wont have all the presure he had at Newcastle.

  13. Looks nice but very similar to the season before lasts away kit.

I cant see them releasing another shirt this season, wont they use last season 3rd strip for another season.

Last year they released 3 shirts, Red Home, Grey Away & Green 3rd strip.

This season, the New Black away kit and this will be the 5th kit in two years.

Gonna be another expensive summer for daddy getting the kits for the kids. New England home strip on order aswell, might even get one for myself.

  14. Id love to watch it in Imax but unfortunately I live in Korat and the local cinema doesnt even show movies in the English language or with English subtitles. I guess a trip to the IMax studio is in order next time im in Bangkok. Is it the one at the top of Paragon?
