If you try a town on the Mehkong you can see "the economic impact" of doing business with Laos

Top Charoen & Beautiful have only basic eye testing equipment. The 50% discount on frames & free shirt etc is still more than the normal price.
The good lookers are just there for eye candy - someone plain does the testing

Welcome to Thaivisa
1 The Langkawi express goes from KL to Had Yai Thailand daily. At Had Yai u need to get another train to Phun Phin which is about 12 miles from Surathani. Follow the crowds from there to Samui Island by road and ferry
2 To get a train to Chiang Mai you need to go to Bangkok [ or Bang Sue Junction ]
3 No - better to try in Malaysia for a boat to India
Have a look at www.seat61.com for train info. There are other trains[ short distance mainly] running that are not listed on websites
Thailand is 1 hour behind Malaysia

Tha Rua is a nice small town with some ok hotels. Good food places along the river. Theres a commuter train there at 8am.
-
There are at least 6 carts on the other side of the local river. They r pulled by 2 oxen. The boss drives them into the river, fills them with soil then drives out of the river, water still dripping. The soil goes to farms nearby.

Re 7
The common intersection for south/north/northeast lines is at Bang Sue Junction.
As Asanee says, u r better off getting a train from Nakhon Pathom to Bang Sue & picking up a north bound train from there.
There are more trains running than are shown on the computer - go to a train station [Had Yai is good for this] & get the paper timetables that show all trains. There are a lot of commuter & ordinary trains that run to BKK.
The platform for south bound trains is separate from north/ne trains by about 100 yards at Bang Sue.
Even if u think u r running late keep going coz the trains r often late out of BKK. travel time from hualamphong to Bang Sue is 45 minutes
If u do miss out Mor Chit is close by...........

according to Prachan Sakorn,
The wedding was not a problem, but he wanted the elephant camp's owners to make sure there was no foreign dominance of the business or unfair treatment of tourists, especially overcharging for tours on elephant back
Overcharging of tourists!!!! no way

The Sports Inn has 3 free computers in the lobby. Its opposite the well-known Red Rose hotel near the old airport. The sign out front says budget hotel. Its bt 350/450, ac, cable tv

WHY? this was a kind of emergency/special case train station just BESIDE that behemoth of thai/BKK usTerminals, the Mochit (simply cross road), but its OUT of SERVICE since early this yr, as passengers were nil and the previous BMA-inspired reason to use it (avoiding trafic jams in BKk due to closed rail-road-crossings, this also led to some abortive plans to let all long-disnatce trains start at SamSen station) was blown over with yet another governor/govmt.
more info: go to forum on 2bangkok.com, then find SRT branch
I often took the train from Lopburi ,to Don Muang, that finished its trip at Phaholyothin. This was a daily train both directions that was handy for me. There were plenty of passengers especially students.I last took it in February.

I'm trying to find a map for this station on the net. Thats the State Railway of Thailand not the BTS [ skytrain ] station.
Showing some of the general area including back to the main line would be good. thanks

The maps at www2.airportthai.co.th may help u get your bearings.

I'm guessing that "shop e salah" is ชอบอิสระ in which case, no it's not rude but the meaning would be more like "to enjoy being independent/free/not tied down" than "to stay alone".
Thanks for a good double answer
-
Could someone tell me if the expression shop e salah would be considered rude or crude.thanks

If they close down curtain hotels, some towns will lose 50% or more of available rooms.
And the other hotel in town is a dump.]
-
Thanks - that map is perfect

If no luck there, try the train station
