I think you need to check the Elite website, PDS and give the reps or a manager a good questioning. Perhaps a quiet talk to an IO in an immigration office.

Once you receive a "report to office" msg, trying to input other data is useless; as you have already been breached/ locked out of the system.

Until the data matches up on the system you cannot do online. 

Just go to to the nearest office and rectify the lost/misplaced/incorrect data entry for your TM 30.

Yes there was is some mistake; but to suggest it is "their" mistake would be drawing quite a long bow.

Fair enough @ubonjoe; I missed your previous responses and @Carolina Reaper explantions, and the bit about being offered a retirement extension. 

Why would they offer him a retirement extension when he went to do one based on marriage.

I like your thinking and attitude toward this, similar to my own. It was my intention to get an extension when the second year of my O-A finishes next April. So if what's being talked about here turns out to be true, that extension will cost me close enough to one million baht, with the money in the bank+health insurance. Nah, to rich for my blood.

Wasn't the money in the bank supposedly a surety against having health insurance? Wasn't it aledged to be one or the other? Nothing like having your cake and eating it too I suppose! Four months to decide whether to make a deposit; an eternity!

Still all this hullabaloo is bound to get things back on an even keel after all that's gone before it; the Agent & IO communities can relax and all will be well with the status quo. Fare thee well, long live Big Joke.

You don't need to specifically use the embassy in Canberra for a Tourist visa; only an A-O.

Tourist visas are issued at all Thai Consulates in capital cities. I've been getting visas by mail for a number of years using registered envelopes to do the job both ways. 

I live in rural CQ; a visa application posted on a Friday morning to either the Brisbane Consulate or the Embassy, always saw my passport returned by the next Friday. 

Arrived CNX May 2018 O-A ME. Was under the impression re-entry permit required to not lose visa when returning from trip back to Oz for Christmas.

Expecting to be stamped in for another year; but was stamped in until the end of my first entry. Questioned IO....

Was informed a re-entry permit overrules visa; I had made the choice to keep my original trip by buying it. He also reiterated the second year would be effected by border hop just prior to expiry date. And so it was.....

Ninety day report online working fine for me. Four straight now.

Current ninety day report app; issue with TM 6, report to office. NO; revert to online! Approved✓

Let's get organised for next one.....TM 6 app; won't accept Flight No. Arrrrgh!

Retirement extension is the best option (out/in without any problem) for someone at your age if the fund is available. there is no 100% guaranty for entering the country by other visas. 

You're obviously equating durian with lumyai if you think Aud.$27,000 will get you Bht. 800,000.

My last tranfer I got Bht 20.6-Aud$1.00. Not complaining, just telling it how it is!

Due to the fact the OP wants to return regularly to Australia this info probably won't help him. Maybe it can help others!

O-A ME's will still be doable from Oz for anyone wanting to go back and renew every two years only; thereby avoiding the monthly transfers or money in bank.

Travel insurance is available from the link for approximately Aud.$1200 for two years cover. The original policy can be renewed for a second year immediately after purchase. This is not a multi-trip policy and more than covers the requirements. The only drawback is a return to Oz before two years is up will void the remainder of the policy.

 Correct.....it is the 90 days report app. Glad it works for you.

Had 90 day report due on 1 October. Had app installed, registered, showing status ready to go......get error msg:- "TM 6 issue, please report to immigration office."

Not to be put off, went online and reported for fifth time, got approved in four hours, printed out and it's safely in my passport. So from my experience, I'd say the app is still in beta mode.

Same experience coming back into Chiang Mai in April for second year on O-A, to the same address. After 90 days; report online....not asked to go to the office. Obviously the TM 6 input at the airport was sufficient for the system to recognize me for the 90 day.

90 day reports can be done up to 15 days out from the due date; but not less than seven. A TM 30 (your address) on the 90 day, that doesn't align with system data; one or both of these errors will see "Report to Office" message.

Seriously....surely anyone who's ever entered via CNX would be asking HOW? Was it deliberate?

G'day all. Arrived on an O-A multi entry May 2018, then went to live in the sticks in Phrae Province.

Went to local cop shop as advised on paperwork from embassy for 90 day reports. Got given paperwork and told to return in 90 days. Sweet as!

90 day report due; but no can do. Must go to Chiang Mai. In Chiang Mai advised everything is fixed now, can do online; but cannot, so, irrespective of what the missus or immigration in Chiang Mai say about, it's now all fixed......yes the report is fixed; but to do online? I don't think so.

Now we're up to the OP.

In order to do online, all your data must align. If you went to Chiang Mai because of the error message, and you live outside of Chiang Mai Province, you would have needed to get a current TM 30 to proceed. Showing immigration a booking, without ever checking in has been suffice for me in the past to overcome this, however that then becomes your registered address.

You are required to do your report at the local immigration office, where your address is registered.

In Phrae, that was Nan; as they look after Nan, Uttharadit & Phrae and trying to do it online using Phrae address, gave the error message, because of not being registered at Nan.

You therefore must register yourself at your residential address by being added to the tabbien baan or getting your own yellow one at the Amphur; then register at the local immigration office. Online reporting should then work for you. Alternatively, try doing it using the last Chiang Mai address. Then of course you are not legally registered if it does goes through though.

I moved back to Chiang Mai last November, got an apartment, went home for Christmas, went to Malaysia in April to get my second year and have never been near immigration since my original TM 30 advice on residency in November. My 90 day reports have been accepted and approved within hours and not reporting returning from OS on two occasions has not been questioned by any error message. In fact when doing the 90 day, all of my returning data is there on the screen.

Whilst lurking over many many years I came across a thread regarding reporting to the local cops because of no office in residential area. It was a saga but eventually sorted. Sadly I never could find that thread again.
