Do you mean the TM card that you are given on the plane? If you do then yes you have to complete it. Thai persons have to complete them when they leave Thailand and when they return. It should be completed in English.

In September you asked about living on 100 Bt per day.
In October you say you have money and lots of creditors that you don't want to pay.
Now you say ÿour "friend" wants to bring cash over rather than pay "his" creditors.
I think credibility and honesty are something you lack.

The horrifying account comes days after Scotland Yard confirmed they have launched a murder probe connected to allegations of sex abuse from the 1970s and 80s.
But they feel justified in sending the same incompetent/corrupt police to Thailand to investigate a murder here. Would be laughable if it weren't so tragic.
and to Portugal to investigate the Madeleine McCann case. We don't hear anything about that now as they failed to embarrass the Portuguese police.
What about the inept investigation in the UK recently where a girl was murdered and the main suspect was a Latvian who disappeared out of the country?

Thursday night only one seat available in Peppermint when I called in, Palace and Sweethearts jam packed full. Looks like it is that time when I stay home!

Learning to read is not the same as being fluent. I could write some Latin and you would all be able to read it, but very few would understand it.
Fluency is a very difficult concept to measure. How does one know when one is fluent?

An Immigration officer I know always advises people who already have an extension of stay based on retirement to continue on that when getting married. Saves a lot of time reverting back to it after the divorce, and it is easier to renew.

so I guess it is ok to bring it to Thailand
But why would you want to?
You are already aware that it may cause you a problem otherwise you wouldn't be asking. If you are detained and your name and whereabouts are made public that would contradict your earlier topics/posts about your family not knowing where you are. You wanted to avoid letting Immigration Police knowing where you are staying, even getting a girl to book a room for you so that you don't have to give the hotel reception (and thus Immigration) your passport.

My daughter tried to use an ATM to withdraw cash. No money came out and it kept the card. She got an SMS to say the money had been withdrawn. She went into the bank to say the machine had failed to give her the money and kept her card. The bank's response was "go to your own bank and report it. We can't help you." No attempt to retrieve her card or give her the cash that had been deducted from her account.
I had remained outside at the ATM in case her card came out whilst she was inside. Another woman came up to use the ATM and it kept her card too. A woman who was watching me told me that the ATM had been faulty for three days and had been doing it all weekend.
This was in the UK two months ago.

I beleive that an Emergency Travel Document only allows you to fly to your home country. In this case the UK. It will only be issued on presentation of a police report stating that you have lost your British passport.

I liked Tony Blair. He was articulate and intelligent.
Then I found that he was praying to the imaginary man in the sky for guidance, especially when colluding with G W Bush about Islam. Then after his Prime Ministership ended he converted to Catholicism. That is like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.
How can he expect to maintain any creditability.

Where do you live? No use suggesting somewhere near me if you are a long way away.

I suggest that you stay in the US and use whatever income you can earn to sort out your financial affairs rather that visiting Thailand and spendind more money that you can ill-afford. If you already have the cash to pay for a flight, accommodation, expenses etc then use it to start paying your debts

Despite the topic being hi-jacked by those who wish to discuss drink drinving I would like to comment on the original post.
A couple of nights ago I was asked by a police officer where I was going. I was going home and told him so. No worries about drinking and dricing etc as I was walking to where my regular morobike taxi rider picks me up. He carried on speaking very good English and told me where he had come from, how long he had been a policeman etc. A few minutes later his senior officer came up, commented on my shoes, saying how much he liked them. The three way conversation was a mix of Thai and English, all very pleasant. The senior officer said he was going home and offered me a lift (I declined as I knew my taxi would be coming and I don't really want to be taking a police officer to my house).
At no time did I feel concerned or uncomfortable - but then again, I had nothing to hide.

Take into consideration that if the bike is registered in Thailand, even if it is in your name, you will need to apply for a permit to take it out of Thailand.

A friend of mine did his first extension based on retirement just two days ago in Jomtien. Collected his passport yesterday.

I always go to the Queen Vic in Soi 6. No booking, just turn up. If you don't want to take someone down Soi 6 the back road is open again.

Sorry, I am not in a position to advise you. Approaching a lawyer seems the best option but a lawyer in the UK will have Pound signs in his eyes to sort out a divorce. Try to do it over here. Perhaps you can contact a lawyer over here before flying.
Good luck

I am a little sceptical about you getting a divorce at the Amphur as easily as that. When I got divorced there it was easy as we both spoke Thai and could answer two questions correctly.
Question one. Have you any children together? Answer No.
Question two. Have you any shared property? Answer. No.
In your case you have a child and property together.
We also needed both copies, mine and hers, of our marriage certifacate. As I had lost mine we had to report the loss at a police station (cost twenty Bt) and give them the police report in lieu of the original.

It must be the economic downturn. He is practising the old adage "A w@nk is money in the bank"

1. He is working without a work permit?
2. He doesn't have a non-immigrant visa?
3. He is considering entering into a marriage of convenience so that he can obtain a marriage visa?
4. He thinks he can get residency because he is married?
He is heading for a rude awakening.

I have seen this happen in the UK. That was a scorned gay man on his partner. Not confined to women or Thailand.

OP, learn from this. If your girlfriend translated for you then she is not as trustworthy as you believe.
