  1. The "First Movers COVID Group" includes Australia, Denmark, Norway, Greece, the Czech Republic, Israel and Singapore. These are the countries that are doing the best in the World in terms of defeating Covid.

Neither China or Sth Korea are in the group.

Need any more proof that this is simply a push for Tourist money, regardless of the danger posed to the Thai people

All short of theories and opinions. Who is to know what is wrong and what is right.

anyone who wants to take a chance on their life and the life of their love ones is welcome to the theories.

The only proven defence against the virus is Isolation.

If you can, stay home, read a book,  bake, tend your garden. talk to your wife etc.

Stay safe a few more weeks  until they sort this thing out,  How hard is it to be lazy for a couple of week . fight the impulse to so go out and stay safe.

Don't risk your life on theories.

Yes 100% this is the ultimate defence, bunker down, if you don’t put your head up you won’t cop a bullet.

  3. Does anyone know about those super cheap phones you see in some 7-11s and outside Tesco, Big C etc.

They're obviously locked to a telco but must you sign up to a plan in order to get them at those prices? Also are you able to have them unlocked either in Thailand or say in Australia?

  4. I have a Non O A issued on Jan' 19, 2019 and I am currently in Australia visiting family since Nov' 16 2019.

I have booked my return trip to Thailand on Jan' 14, 2020 which is 3 days prior to my Visa expiry with the hope that I will be stamped for a further 12 months without any problems.

A few questions if I may politely ask for knowledgeable advice

1/ Will I need to have Mandatory Health Insurance? my belief from previous respected advice here is that I wont, so I have not arranged it (fingers        crossed)

2/ Do I only need to have my current Australian Bank statement as proof that I have better than equivalent 800k baht?

If so I'm not sure how many months backdated it is required to be?

3/ My passport expires in March 2021 but I have a return ticket to fly home on Nov' 16 2020. Australia allows my entry then as my passport is still valid and that is there only requirement, but is there any chance that the Thai IO wont allow me entry as my departure date is less than 6 months from my passport expiry? or do I not have to show a return ticket anyway?

4/ Presuming all of this happens with no problems (fingers crossed again). I want to do some travels into neighbouring countries, so I will probably apply for a Multiple Entry re-entry permit. Once I re-enter from my 1st trip will I then be required to have Mandatory Health Insurance?

This is currently a big problem for me, as international roaming in Thailand for my Australian Aldi SIM recently stopped working, meaning that I can’t do any bank transactions involving SMS messages. When I return to Australia I’m going to change the mobile number used for banking to my Travel Sim number. I think that a specialist provider of international roaming services should have a greater interest in maintaining that service than an Australian operator.

Another way is to give a close friend or family members number to your bank, then just prior to you doing a transaction you message them via FaceBook Messenger or Line or WhatsApp, as long as you are both subscribed, to find out what the code is once they receive it.

KL has great food and shopping. fantastic  infrastructure makes getting around easy.  but it gets hot and muggy after 11am. 1st class symphony.  Bali is just heaven outside of the tourist zones.  again better western food than you could find in LOS.  lovely and welcoming people.  great beaches if you get outside of Kuta.  you don't have to put money in the bank in Indonesia to obtain a long term visa.  they will accept SS documents.

Bali is the true LOS, the people are really friendly and courteous unlike the Thais nowadays....BUT.....the roads are clogged so travelling is a nightmare especially in the South, East and North are better options IMO. Also it’s getting dearer every year and the local food is fairly boring so you’re more inclined to go for Western food. Thailand is cheaper in many ways and the roads are generally very good. Just need more sensibility from Immi.

I would never buy Australian produce (veg or meat). Prices are inflated and  quality  not much better than Chinese.

Thai organic may not be flawless but at least it is fresher than imports.

So Australia inflates its prices? All imported goods are inflated in Thailand in case you haven't done your research you mental minion. I'll back any Australian veg or meat to be cleaner than "organic" Thai products any time. Organic is 90% BS even in developed countries and thats been proven.

  8. HOT TIP re cars real value .....

Has nobody yet realised that a lot of car dealers here are winding back the cars odometers? People think it can’t be done with modern cars, WRONG.. check it on YouTube, it’s not that difficult for an automotive hacker to do. Always insist to see the proper car manufacturers Service Record book and if it’s missing or not filled in and stamped by an authorised agent of that particular car, move on.

  9. Well well well, this snake still wriggles and is still in Togo, a Honda CRV 2011 for 138k in pristine condition is what hes trying to con innocent ppl with this time. I would happily donate $100 to hire a bounty hunter that could render him/her unable to speak or type ever again.

BE ALERT is the message, if it sounds too good to be true then it's a con 99.9% of the time
