Blaming these countries is not honest. The same was already happening before. Not from Libya but from other countries. Now Libya gets more difficult so they moved their smuggling operations to Tunesia.
If you read the article it also says: "The ship, which had set sail from Tunisia" NOT Libya.

Not sure I follow. You say plug a USB drive into the router, then what? How am I going to access that from anywhere? And if I have to also buy a Android box, seems like it's not getting any easier than plugging a USB into my PC, downloading movies onto it, and then plugging into my TV, can't get much simpler than that.
For movies maybe yes. But a Chromecast/Android box can also be used to watch television like Netflix and others.

When I use my Samsung android phone with CC it won't cast, but will mirror the Samsung screen.
I used it yesterday with my Microsoft computer and the tv shows cast icon, but it wouldn't cast. Haven't investigated.
These are things that work fine with my Android phone and also with my Windows laptop.
Always make sure that your phone/laptop and the Chromecast are on the same Wifi network. The signal should also be strong enough. Streaming takes some bandwidth, and if your Wifi is bad or if you are in a place with a lot of other Wifi networks you can get problems. The Chromecast only works if both your phone and Chromecast have a good Wifi signal. This is probably also why it didn't work in your hotel.

Am not a Trump fan, but am waiting for some "first hand" information, as likely the Democrats will need this to proceed with impeachment
Trump admitted to this crime himself. He blocked $400 million of aid, and a week later he pressured someone to do him a favour. That should be enough to send him to prison. If the US was a normal democracy.

Lightroom -> If you have hundreds of raw files you can use this program to color correct the files and convert them to JPG. You can batch process photos, color correct 1 photo and copy the settings to other photos to save time. This program is really designed to process many photos. I can easily color correct 2000 photos a day with Lightroom.
Photoshop -> More advanced editing. Has a lot more options than Lightroom. But not really suitable to color correct hundreds of images.
>> the subscription offers some advantages, one can also loose a lot of stored work should the subscription expire.
Also when you use the subscription you have a local copy of the software installed on your harddisk. Your work you can also save on your own harddisk. When the subscription expires the software stops working. But your processed photos on your harddisk will still be there.
>> I see Lightroom and Photoshop advertised on Lazada for less than B1000.
These are copies, pirated. Which is not a problem, unless your conscience has problems with it. It is also worth it to check if your camera is supported. Lightroom gets updates often to include new camera's and new type of raw files. If your copy of Lightroom is older than your camera there is a possibility that you cannot do anything with it if you have an illegal copy and cannot upgrade.
Adobe has a photography subscription with Photoshop and Lightroom. I managed to get a US educational subscription. If you can get an .edu email and lie you can apply for that and pay less.
There are alternatives for Lightroom. Just google Lightroom alternatives. Capture One Pro is also nice if you can get a copy.

They can look at the US documents. I get a German pension (I worked as a British citizen in Germany for 40 years) the German embassy certifies my German pension and my small British pension at the same time. They needed the original British letter informing me of my pension, they can apparently tell if the document is genuine because the first time I did this I brought a copy instead of the original and that was refused, I had to go all the way back to Surin to get the original.
If you read what you wrote here... You get different kinds of income from different countries. And you expect that embassies understand all different kinds of documents declaring all the different types of income? They must be able to recognize documents from many different countries, and also guarantee that they are genuine ?
>> They needed the original British letter informing me of my pension, they can apparently tell if the document is genuine because the first time I did this I brought a copy instead of the original and that was refused
You brought a copy. Usually it is easy to see that something is a copy. Next time you brought the original which was accepted. And based on that you make the conclusion that the embassy can say that the original you brought wasn't fake ?

The EU has borders with Belarus, The Ukraine, Moldova, Turkey and Albania. Nobody is ever, ever, going to convince me that the Irish border, compared to all these others, is so problematic. It has been exploited purely for political reasons, to make Brexit as difficult, and irreversible, as is possible.
Yes. Borders. Something with fences and police, customs. It is something they didn't want in Ireland.

Thanks for your input, but I am specifically asking about Thailand, not most countries.
Ok. For Thailand it is the same. They can throw you out. And this:
(1) the penalties for working without a work permit under Decree No.1 was an imprisonment for a term not exceeded five years or a fine ranging from B2,000 to B100,000, or both. But under Decree No. 2 that has been reduced to a fine ranging from B5,000 to B50,000 and the imprisonment penalty has been repealed; and
(2) the penalties for employing a non-Thai employee without a work permit under Decree No. 1 was a fine ranging from B400,000 to B800,000 for each employee so employed. Under Decree No. 2 this has been changed to a fine ranging from B10,000 to B100,000.
The fines are a joke. But getting banned not.- 1

>> We never seem to hear much about that side of it.
That sounds scary enough already.
Working without a permit is a violation of your visa. Most countries will revoke your visa, deport you, and ban you for coming back for a period of x years. 10 or so...

It is not allowed to rent out with airbnb for periods shorter than 1 month. If you do they will see it as a hotel business.
Expecting to make money with airbnb is probably a bad idea. Unless you are willing to break the rules.
And if you lease the apartment you probably also need permission from the owner to rent it out to others.
I think the visa requirement is the last thing to worry about.

So it's not going to be very difficult to get something that is better than nothing, is it?
Ok, let's reframe my question.
The UK wasn't able to negotiate a better trade deal with South Korea.
Why do you think that the UK will be able to negotiate something better with the US or China ? If anything at all ? The EU has a lot more power, more weight in negotiations. Do you really think that China will be impressed by the UK and that they will give the UK anything better than the EU has now ? if they are even willing to waste their time talking ? Did you see what happened with negotiations between the US and China ? And US demands were not even unfair. They just wanted equal access to Chinese markets and did not even get that. Do you really think China will bow to the UK? With the US it is exactly the same. Trump will not give presents. Especially not when seeing how desperate the UK will be soon.

I googled. And made the conclusion that the UK could not get a better deal.
Now tell me... Why do you think that the UK will get a better deal with the US and China ? They already don't have enough power to negotiate anything better with something small like South Korea.

Pffft, who needs to deal with those minnows.
And why do you think the UK will get anything better ?
Trump liked the idea of Brexit. And that is not because he wants to give the UK a good deal.

Most Europeans I know would love to see the UK sink into the sea. And I am tired of all the whining of a bunch of incapable fools. Best would be to close all borders for 100%, to close the tunnel and let them sort it out for themselves.

Kamela beach is nice. From there you can also take a boat (5 minutes) to Laem Sing beach, which is really wonderful.
I was in Patong some months ago. The sea was very dirty. You cannot not swim there. There is too much plastic waste in the sea.
I don't understand why the difference between these 2 beaches is so big. They are not so far away from each other.

How can a Greek embassy can give you a certificate of income if that income comes from the US ?
The idea was that the US embassy checked your income from the US and issued some kind of statement that you received that money every month. When it became clear that they didn't check anything but just issued some papers and the Thai immigration office started to complain they stopped with issuing these letters.
Some people are angry with the embassies. But in reality most of them do not have the ability to control income.

You accused some countries that destroyed the Libyan government and blamed them. Which is not fair. It is even a lie.
