And now we have to wait for the comments that say that Covid is a hoax.

I havent got a good mood about any of it.
But what Fauci keeps predicting with no evidence at all certainly doesn't help.
There are other experts in other countries predicting similar scenarios. But he should keep silent not to destroy your good mood?
If he is right, and there is a good chance of that... What would people say next year or the year after that?
Fauci is a joke, he is an expert but he didn't saw this coming...

So daมน why not just put a bullet in our heads now?
No wonder suicides are going up.
I just dont see any benefit in putting those kind of views out there and panicking people and having that sหit manifesting in peoples conciousness.
He is an expert.

This means that someone tried to log into your account, but not that it was actually successful.
You should add your phone number to your account for 2 factor authentication. It makes it impossible to login on a new device without receiving a text message.

Not many Thais have hot showers
I never saw a cold shower in Thailand. Even without heating the water it is already hot.
In my home country a cold shower in winter will be only a couple of degrees away from freezing.
I liked the way they heat the water in the shower in Thailand, with a small electrical device heating the water only when it is needed. Thought about trying it in my home country, till I realized that it will not work in colder climates because it makes the water only a couple of degrees more hot.

Probably it depends on what you want to buy/rent.
What I see in BKK with condos: You can buy for 3 million Baht. Or rent for 10k a month. The owner has to pay the condo fees. He has to take the loss of outdated furniture. Maybe some repairs. Let's say that he keeps 8k baht if he is lucky. It will take him 31 years to get his investment back if you forget things like interest.
And what is the value of a condo after 31 years? I am not impressed by the build quality of many things I see.
In my home country when you buy a house you don't really have to worry about things like build quality. Even if everything collapses after 31 years the land you own probably increased in value 5 times.
I never understood Thai economy.

However it seems that tethering is still disabled at their end: At this time I can't get connected with my notebook to 3G (via the phone - neither USB nor Bluetooth). All this used to be possible earlier...
You really do not want to do that without a data bundle. The main page of a news paper I read online is almost 10 MB. Without a data bundle this will cost you 15 Baht. Only to look at 1 page. The cost of browsing websites for half an hour is probably higher than paying for an unlimited 1 month bundle. Maybe they disabled it to protect you against yourself (only a guess).

I repeat: I have produced just one link out of many to hundreds authors condemning Islamist terrorism; can provide many more if you wish. How many authors can you provide calling for more such attacks?
Nothing meaningful to report! Are you really saying that Muslims in France condemn teacher’s killing near Paris is not meaningful?
You are quoting text from others to me...
But it is how I told you, not meaningful. In the article there are TWO (yes, 2) muslims saying this: Ibrahim and Tareq. TWO men.
quote (from Google): A 2017 Pew Research report estimates the Muslim population of France to be 5,760,999
Your article means nothing, statistically completely irrelevant.
In todays world you will always find something to support your own opinion. Google is great.

You found one link with many hundreds of people condemning Islamist terrorism. How relevant is that if you know that:
quote: "According to a study in 2015, Islam has 1.8 billion adherents"
Statistically it is completely irrelevant.

Google indexes all of them. I can guarantee you for 100% that you will find a webpage supporting any opinion you can think of, even weird ones.

French police angry at 'no-go zones' after petrol bomb attack
By Reuters Staff

PARIS (Reuters) - French police unions complained angrily on Monday about being sent into gang-ridden “no-go zones” after two officers were seriously injured in a petrol bomb attack during a routine surveillance job in an area south of Paris at the weekend.

Muslim No-Go-Zones in the West – A Myth or a Reality?
As the article says further on; that does not mean there are not areas where authorities are not visible or they operate without uniforms because it is too risky to walk these streets as a police officer. But those areas are not exclusively Muslim.
You are really twisting the truth.
From your own article:
I am not denying the day-to-day hostility and resentment towards women and Jews in many European neighbourhoods. Of course, there are neighborhoods throughout Europe and North America where the authorities are not visible or they operate without uniforms because it is too risky to walk these streets as a police officer

If you use Google you will always find something that supports your opinion. It doesn't mean anything if you are able to find some pages with results. Statistically it means nothing.
13 minutes ago, 7by7 said:The big question is not "Why don't Muslims condemn such acts?" because they do. The big question is why the Western press, whilst keen to report the idiocy of Erdogan and Mahathir Mohamad, so rarely reports the mass condemnation of these atrocities coming from the majority of Muslims and their leaders; both religious and secular.
That is because there is nothing meaningful to report. But I do remember muslims partying on the street after 9/11.
The press in my home country, the press people like to call "mainstream media" is mostly left-wing. If there was something interesting to report to support their agenda they would have done so. But they didn't. Because there is nothing to report.

March??
The virus had barely taken foothold back then. Any more current data?
March was (at least in NL) the first month the virus hit. And the graph clearly shows the number of excess deaths going up. There were no Covid tests at all at that moment, so no numbers about people infected with Covid.

It is not so much unable... It is a conscious effort by 1 political party to make voting more difficult.
I don't really understand it myself. You don't have to agree politically. But what the Republican Party is doing here is a violation of democratic standards.
As a political party you cannot sink much deeper. It's not just Trump, the entire Republican party is guilty.
I can remember a time when the US was an example of democratic values, an example of how it should be. Trump has definitely destroyed that whole picture.

I've seen that as well, but what does it mean?
Deaths are deaths, my understanding of that note is that COVID deaths are included in the figures and not separated.
It says Covid deaths are NOT included.
And a projection is an estimate.
So these numbers are useless. Unless someone wants to prove something and is looking for some statistics to support a conspiracy theory.

Here's excess deaths in the US. Considering 70% of deaths were people over 70 it's not *that* bad in terms of years of life lost. It only looks like a catastrophe when you start tallying together all deaths on aggregate and repeating the number over and over again to the public.
That's only 25000 excess deaths each week in May?
That's really nothing. And those old people who were almost dead anyway.
During the September 11 attacks of 2001, 2,977 people died. Why did the Americans make such a problem of that? I am sure some of them were also over 70 years old. It's not *that* bad in terms of years of life lost.

since most statistics dont include fractional numbers,

death by year comparisons, but so far,
i see no statistically significant deviation from the norm
So you make a statement now, but you will wait till the beginning of the next year to prove it?
I think the article I quoted clearly says that the number of monthly deaths is higher this year than in previous years. At least in NL.
In Italy it is the same. Here a nice graph comparing the monthly deaths last year with this year: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109552/monthly-number-of-deaths-in-italy/
Do you see the number of deaths going up starting March? That was the time of the first Covid outbreak in Italy. Or don't you see a "statistically significant deviation" ?
