  1. Am really grateful for the information. Just trying to work my way through it.
  2. Thanks. I hadn't checked it for a while. The visa expires 22 April. My last entry was 2 Feb so I will leave and enter again before the 22nd April. If I converted the multi entry I would do next week but since I don't have the funds seasoned I will go for either reentry permit or visa free then apply for the non o. Thanks
  3. I am weighing keeping the business open and paying myself an income but the old ME visa made things a lot easier
  4. I actually have a work permit and work for my wife's (read between the lines as Thais own everything) business for high season. I go to Australia for 2 months as the business shuts for 6 months so retirement is not an option. I am mainly trying to avoid having my 400,000 baht tied up for 5 months( now, trip to Australia, 2 months seasoning) but from reading is not an option. Thank you forcall your help.
  5. I was hoping could ask another question. Steve187 suggested another Savannakhet ME Non O but from following the forum I thought that option was no longer available. If possible would consider HCMC also.
  6. Thanks. I did not realize a re-entry permit was possible with a Multi Entry visa.
  7. The visa expires 1st May so would do a border run /holiday before then. If I applied for a 12 months extension before then a border run would not be needed. I understood ME at Savannakhet was not available anymore. Thanks for your help.
  8. They are pretty heavy people from all accounts. Descended from British navy mutineers and intermarried for generations. I had a friend from there who was the singer in a punk rock band. Maybe he will go there and <deleted> on Donald Trump's front lawn.
  9. Thank you Dr Jack. If I apply for the 12 month extension based on marriage does the money need to be in the bank for 2 months before application or can the money just stay there during the under consideration period? I did not realise I could get a single entry Non o in Thailand,. I thought it had to be outside. Thank you for info.
  10. Hi. I have a Savannakhet multibentry non o married to a Thai. I am hoping I can go to the office and change it to a single entry long stay visa before it expires 1st May. I can put the 400,000 baht in the bank. I want to leave the country on the 21st May for 2 months but understand I can get a re-entry permit at the airport, and then go to immigration and again show the 400,000 baht balance. Thanks for any help.
  11. Norfolk Island is a dependent territory of Australia. It has been hit with 29% tarriff. It does not even have a port and access is virtually by air only. It's population of 2000 people are shocked at the impact on their enormous export market.
  12. Thanks for the info. It is an older Thai style of construction. They build a square of bricks and lay concrete beams on top. Fill the floor in and leave the hole for the waste. The only way to access it would be to demolish the building. It is only used in high season. The problem was the roots had blocked off the hole in the picture. The picture is taken after I removed them 🤩
  13. I have an old fashioned underfloor septic with no rings or tanks. The toilet blocked and we removed the bowl and cistern to find it is blocked by roots. Somebody advised me to (carefully) use copper sulphate. The only entrance to the septic is through the toilet and I have read the copper sulphate could damage the toilet(don't see how if I just wash it straight through). I can close the toilet for a period after I pit in the copper sulphate as I heard it can be harmful. Thanks for any advice
  14. A mosquito awareness program would help as well. My neighbour always left water around and we had many mosquitoes till her daughter contracted dengue. Now no water- no mosquitoes. Pity Thais need to learn the hard way. If they did not leave rubbish everywhere there would be less places for rainwater to gather and less mosquitoes.
  15. Mosquitoes need stagnant water to grow. They are also lazy and stay near to where they are born all their lives. You must have a,water source somewhere for them to grow in
  16. Easy Corner bar has lots of sport. In Soi Bukhao where the road turns near the market. Pattaya Klang end.
  17. You should just go and buy some marijuana-available 24 hours. You can even get it delivered unlike alcohol.
  18. After covid, to fully finish off the small saunas, the fire department came around demanding expensive modifications. Pattaya Sauna closed along with others.
  19. Thai people don't seem that interested in,F1. They have a Thai team Red Bull, a Thai driver Albon and love driving cars fast but I don't think they even broadcast it on Thai TV.
