  1. Thank you. I cant see any other reason why you would engage in a forum which has nothing to do with you since you get a visa from your local office. Reading the replies, nobody else on the thread seems to appreciate your preaching and moralising. In fact, I would bet most expats are here to get away from it all -no tv news, no newspapers, nobody to preach to you except Skipalong. All your comments are just speculation anyway which makes them more laughable. Only the people in the immigration department or the office in Laos could know the reason they do not ask for financials so accusing them of corruption is just silly. It is mainly for FIFO people anyway. I only spend 6 months a year in Thailand. I am married toba Thai so am not a tourist. I am not retired. Why would i want to have 400,000 baht tied up in a Thai bank with low interest or get an inappropriate visa.
  2. Thanks. It seems simpler to put it down without the thinner
  3. You say 'well diluted' am guessing you mean with a thinner. Is it truecthat if you use a primer instead you do not need to dilute it.
  4. He is actually German but I prefer your advice. I will take the thinner back to the shop and just use the F-6100 then the U-202. Thank you once again.
  5. Hi. I was hoping for some advice (again). I have sanded an old wooden floor and am ready to prime it and varnish it. I have bought Beger F-6100 . On google translate the label says primer(as does a Thai person reading it) but when I research it both Shopee and Thai Watsadu are describing it as thinner. My next door neighbour from germany, believing it is primer, says I should add thinner to it when I put on the primer(if that is what it is) but I look on youtube etc and nobody says to add thinner. Same with the top coat. I have beger Unithane U 202 and the neighbour says I should add thinner as well but youtube does not mention it. Thanks for any input
  6. @Skipalongcassidy is just trolling. He is probably an ex-schoolteacher who can't lecture the kids anymore so he goes on a forum in which he has no involvement and lectures other people. (he pays his agent to get his non-o and goes through all the home visit and neighbour interviews etc) . It is a bit sad that he has no other interest except complaining about other people and his imagined corruption. I was going to make some deliberate spelling mistakes to give him some entertainment by correct my spelling.
  7. Do you have anything to back up what you say about chanote on beaches. I understood chanote was granted by the local amphurs but the beaches are crown land. Considering people have just taken beaches for themselves I always thought it would be a money earned for enterprising lawyers starting class actions against beach thieves. I had heard that the king owns all the land so many metres beyond high water mark but hard to find the true story.
  8. There was a recent thread about HCMC where somebody mentioned it happening at Savannaket.
  9. I dont understand the MYTH. name. Is it like MILF bar. I guess all the girls are older. Is it MOTHERS YOU THINK .....something
  10. Your words not mine. I am sure you are a really nice person who begrudges somebody less fortunate than you a happy marrìage to somebody they love. Luckily there are not many people like you making the world a sad place.
  11. You seem to really care about it so much so I will answer. . Let me ask you. Why is going to Savannakhet to get a visa circumventing the rules? Has it ever occured to you that it is a legal, government authorized immigration office with officers in uniform and not a shady back street illegal agents office? Do you think maybe the Thai government realizes that some foreigners are in a legal loving relationship with a Thai person but for some unfortunate reason do not have the money in the bank to afford a visa and they allow a little loophole to help such people? I am curious? Are you married to a Thai or just a preaching old retiree with no commitment or engagement to Thai culture or people?
  12. So @transam described you correctly, particularly judging by this reply.
  13. It is hard to see how it will work. Will the bar girls waiting at WU get taxed on their weekly payments and likewise overseas workers sending from Wise. How will the government work out what is income not subject to tax treaties and what level of yax has already been paid. I am not an accountant but thecimplementation seems fraught with trouble.
  14. It was a political comproomise. Anutin thought he could get all the stoners to vote for him. Prayut needed his seats in Parliament so did a deal to decriminalize it. If they had not done so Anutin's party would have been wiped out at the last election. The last government was in such a hurry to get the political gain they decriminalized it with no proper plan or legislation. I doubt Anutin truly cares whether it is therapeutic or not. It is all just political.
  15. It is sad that you are so bored with life that you have to go and preach on a forum thread that has no concern to you. Somebody has started a new Savannaket thread. You had better rush and chastise all the bad people 'circumventing' the rules.
  16. So your AGENT was willing to get you a Multi-entry non-O married to a Thai visa without any proof of financial requirements?
  17. It is not clear from your post whether your agent gets you a visa without financial proof or with. If you join a thread about getting visas without financial proofs and accuse people of "gameing it" it is pretty easy to assume you provide financial proof to your agent and ypu must expect a negativecreaction from other posters for your accusation. Savannaket provides the ME non-O visa and the assumption must be it is legal and not gameing it as you imply.
  18. The thread is about non o visas without financial requirements so you getting an agent to fill out the paperwork is not really at all relevant.
  19. He could say agents do not often do non o for marriage and again call you a fool for commenting about what you do not know.
  20. Maybe you have a reason to need riel particularly. but most of the time you can use USD . 1 usd for 4000 riel. Many of the border towns also use baht.
  21. Plane to Malaysia not that expensive and KL can be fun for a night or 2.
  22. Id say the locals will shoot them out slingshots in less.
  23. Is sad. Hopefully they will learn to not leave water around. We alwaus had lots of mosquitoes and our neighbour always kept water lying around till her daughter had dengue. Hard ways to learn lessons.
  24. Most Thais do not know that mosquitoes grow in still water. They love leaving around water containers(and rubbish as you mentioned).
