  1. I thought expats in Issan might want to get rid of their mother in law for a few months a year. I have said I prefer older workers. I already have one possible who has,a rice farm and it suits to leave it for a few months and then come back for the rice crop.
  2. Yes. I have a special friend there who gets nothing from the shop. Her income is just from the extra services. People come in for massage only and she works an hour for no money. I would be happy to employ her but I don't think my wife would understand.
  3. Yes probably.
  4. Some people see the big picture and others the small one. My wife sees the smaller one so is not extremely supportive of my plans. I was just being polite. I could have said "no sexual services" but did not think I had to be so blatant, but maybe I do. I prefer to employ older staff as they are usually more reliable. It is a very boring place. Not much excitement for the young ones.
  5. No. Very remote..
  6. It is a,pretty straight place. No bars, no freelancers. Local families (and my wife) would not approve if the word got out.
  7. Hey thanks. There is one in the local provincial town but I should try further. Good advice.
  8. I am looking for massage workers for a shop on a tropical paradise island. Prefer older workers(40+) and no extra services allowed😉. All food, laundry and accommodation supplied. This is a high season only position so they can work for a few months, save some money then go back home. I hope admin allows me to keep this here as the 'Jobs available' section seems very quiet.
  9. I received mine in April from Savannakhet. I had only deposited the 400k 2 weeks before I went but they did not seem to care. I am not sure if it has changed since then. If you have the 400k in the bank you can get a non o single entry and use your bank balance to extend it after 3 months to 12 months?.
  10. Thanks. Nice reply. Gives more faith in human nature.
  11. It is one of the most expensive resorts in the world. At the moment low season price 40,000 b per night but increases high season to around 70,000 b. Their other resort is in the Bahamas. Not a good week for rich people afterthe yacht sinking.
  12. Yes. I was worried. I have a non-o ME so had little intention of dealing with them but then needed a residency certificate for motorcycle licence
  13. I was back in Australia- pre-facebook, forums etc. Not really going to run into many Expats there- even if I knew what one was. My friend told me to look up Stickman. At least he took the time to reply. No reward from him for it.
  14. I was an innocent, new to Thailand, devestated that the girl who told me was the cashier was actually a hooker and probably had a Thaì husband and kids. I wrote to Stickman for advice and he actually replied and made me feel much better. I still remember it and appreciate him for it.
  15. I arrived airport 6th May and went wife's home. On 13th till 17th I stayed in a hotel. 19th went to immigration. Either they took into account the hotel stay or just do not care so much atm. I was ready for them to ask why I had not come when I arrived in Thailand but they didn't.
  16. They should also charge for them. Laos and Cambodia charge so why Is Thailand free. I would be affected but would rather pay a,few thousand baht than have the worry of being rejected
  17. Thanks for the replies. Went yesterday for tm30 and residence certificate. Arrived 10.30 am. Not busy at all. The new system seems to work a lot better. They did not even ask me why I was submitting tm30 late.
  18. Great. Thanks
  19. I need to go to immigration tomorrow for a residency certificate and I guess a TM30. Any recent experiences of how busy the office is these days Thanks
  20. I have been there for breakfast often over the years. I went to Soi Bukhao CC for the last time last week. Was amazed how they could make a piece of bread/toast so hard. Was virtually unchewable.
  21. Hi. I wondered if anywhere in Ayutthaya shows the Australian football. Am staying near the station. Thanks.
  22. I had a very gourmet case of food poisoning from the night market.
  23. Trat is right in the durian growing area. Lots of money from China's insatiable demand for durian.
