  1. Thanks for the replies. I will probably be going to Savannaket by myself. I think it is required there. Due to circumstances it is not that easy for my wife to go to the Ampur on the day before i leave.
  2. He was sacked by Prayut from the Electoral Commission. Led a campaign to get rid of the senate. Cant really blame him for making jokes about how the Thai election system has become a joke in itself.
  3. I hope I have the name right but I mean the updated certificate you get from the local Ampur certifying you are still married. I was wondering how often you should update it. I did mine late last year and am thinking of going for a new visa early next year. How long before visa application can the certificate be. Thanks.
  4. I think good advice. I have been to Mukdahan and I think the bus depot or even a taxi might be hard to negotiate without fluent Thai.
  5. I think 7/11 have taken out their rubbish bins on Pattaya beach. If it rains it will all wash out to sea so n need
  6. Except young Cobras which have not learnt to control their venom flow. More dangerous.
  7. Thank you for your always good advice
  8. I am actually making open closets with shelves. In concrete room with no other wood. I was partly wondering if hardwood is going to get excessively expensive(considering 3 metre pine lengths at Do Home are 258b) and hard to source leaving little other choice.
  9. Yes. I guess can be coated with chaindrite etc.
  10. I should have been more specific - is sold as framing timber.

    Pine wood

I have noticed shops stocking soft pinewood. In Australia pine is often used for building but had never seen it available in Thailand till recently. Am wondering if this is a result of price increase and supply difficulties with hardwood or just a coincidence at the places I have been going. From memory it seems considerably cheaper than what have paid before for hardwood.
  12. You asked for photos of the grass. It is there somewhere.
  13. The parking garage and the park were dead again today though was around 4pm and maybe people were doing school pick ups. Alot of cars still seemed to be going to the back carpark. I guess Thais dont like change much. Several guards were sitting around looking at their phones. I also noticed they have put in a card system for payments. Wonder if that will increase patronage. Nice view from the rooftop but it is not a rooftop garden as promised and just more car park spaces.
  14. They have more choice than that. Chang big or Chang small. Leo big or leo small so on, so on.
  15. I do not drive but the traffic still seemed chaotic.
  16. There are other threads about this. You go to your local ampur and get an updated marriage certificate -Kor ror 2 I think it is called for 100b or so. I do not think you can get a visa with a foreign marriage certificate unless you have registered the marriage in Thailand. You only need a signed copy of your wifes id card. You do not need her passport or a letter but if you want to cover everything bring one. They ask for proof of 20,000 b in a foreign bank but they did not take mine. The shop across the road prints a form for you and you write multi-entry on top of it and make sure they take the 5000b. I went there last November.
  17. I was surprised how few people were using it. Lots of empty spaces. Monday night on long weekend. Traffic chaos in Naklua Rd. The policeman even tried to hurry me along as I paid for my songtaew. The park and market seemed not so busy.
  18. Lucky helps a lot of people with travel from Suma Court in Soi Bukhao. It is just past the 7/11 after the hosptal heading towards South Pattaya Rd.
  19. Thanks. I have seen them. Am set on the round buckets. Must have cleaned too many hotels, offices etc over the years to want to change. Dont think the cart ones give enough control over the amount of water you are putting on the floors.

  21. Hoped somebody would know of a cleaning supplies shop in Pattaya. Mainly looking for a commercial type mop and bucket. Have tried Lazada, Homepro, Do Home. Thinking of importing from overseas.
